☼ Waking Up → SS Blue Fish
[ He's been out for days - no movement, no sound, nothing. Just sleep. Or... something like that. Everything changes when he wakes up - and he wakes with a start, heart racing and mind reeling.

He remembers. A vast sea of stars - different from space. Walkable, breathable, wrong. He remembers names and faces of people he grew close to, and the way his reality began bleeding into others' because of it. He remembers running. Fighting. Struggling to survive, facing down horrors that shouldn't have been. He remembers the shop - remembers waking up in the back of it, being left to figure out what that meant and the changes that came with it. And... he remembers how that didn't hold a candle to the way it felt when the bladed hand of some shadowy creature slid so easily between his ribs, straight through--

It's too much.

So of course, the first thing out of his mouth is a very heartfelt: ]

Fuck...!

[ He wishes it was all just a nightmare, but he's pretty sure it wasn't.

Crewmates or visitors can find him in his room, or eventually he'll start wandering the halls, looking hella distracted and even paler than usual. Long story short: yeah, he's not okay. ]

Looks like it was my turn for Atroma to knock me out and give me memories or some shit. So that's awesome. Good times.

So to "celebrate" I'm gonna be hanging out in a bar on the planet, corner of 5th and Boulder streets. Can't miss it it's got the bright as hell red roof and the weird cactus neon sign thing out front. Seriously. It stands out.

I'd say drinks are on me but I mean drinks are free! Literally all of it. Anything we want. But hey if you really want I'll make it for you. For the hell of it. Anyway come hang out. Let's make it a party. Why not?

[ And yep, there he is, just like he said he'd be. He's already made himself a rather large drink, and he's sitting at the bar staring into it, as if the place wasn't completely empty around him and he really was just... in a bar, somewhere populated, where people hadn't died from radiation or what the hell ever. Doesn't help that this reminds him a lot of a certain other always-empty, always-restocking bar.

... Goddess, he really needs a distraction. Or to get wasted. One of the two. Feel free to catch him either just getting started, or already well on his way to drunk. ]

[He's awake. With having lost a lot of friends the past week, Riona's beyond relieved to see him wandering about again. But as she approaches him in the hall, she sees his face - the paleness, the haunted look - and her relief turns to worry.]

[The mood of the planet is considerably more morose with tales of the bunker reaching public ears, but even so, Mikleo feels compelled to venture onto the surface and explore, if only on the off-chance that he'll find something else- more clues, or some one-day critical supply that they'll need and just don't realize it yet.

He doesn't expect to find a tipsy Eithan staggering down the street, but lo, there he is. Let's just... try to steady him. What in the world?]

When Eithan wakes with a jolt, gasping, Sorey jumps and tosses the book aside, half-rising from his chair, hands out. -ooh. Ooh, he doesn't sound good, he doesn't look good. Sorey doesn't touch him, not just yet, but stays close just in case, until he's sure he's gotten a second to calm down.]

[Tbh not even fuckin' with answering that text. All he had to read was "memories or some shit" and "that's awesome" and Cloud just got such a #bigmood that he pulls a knit cap down over his still-slightly-pink hair and makes his way planetside.

Heads right up to the bar where Eithan's sitting, glances over at him and hten moves around it to start pulling bottles open and sniffing them. He's not picky but like...why not drink the good stuff if it's free?

Also will kindly pour Eithan a few fingers before serving himself.]

[ He's really happy to see Riona, but even when he tries to put on his usual grin, it falls short. Whoops. ]

Pretty sure I look like a teenage runaway, but thanks. [CLOUD KNOWS WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE. Maybe it's easier to put himself down in front of Eithan because Eithan saw him be pretty cool. Maybe that's why he can't look dumb in front of Zack but it's cool in front of Eithan. whatever

Cloud pours himself his own glass, throws it back and pours another. If he's gonna keep up he's going to have to drink in triplicate.] Tried any of the food here? It's weird.

[There, that's better. Reaches over to rest a hand on Eithan's arm soothingly.] Not too long, considering. Days, but no more than a week or so. [Not like Sorey can be sure exactly when Eithan passed out, since he only found out once he popped over for a visit.]

Wow, only days. That... definitely makes time feel even less real. [ Time is definitely fake. Ugh. This is all incredibly disorienting. He rubs at his eyes. ]

Sorry, man. That was just... a lot. I mean, I got slammed with like, a ton of memories. I think. ... Anyway, I'm... really glad you're here. Thanks. ... Wait. How long have you been here?

[He keeps a hand on Eithan to make sure he doesn't wobble too far off balance. And- oh god, he also smells something terrible in Eithan's breath. He's caught a whiff of this on Zaveid and Eizen before, so he has a feeling he knows what this is.]

[Yeah fuck yeah, have a refill buddy. Cloud'll work on his fourth here, maybe slow down a touch just for the sake of his stomach.] Hear hear to that. God, I hate that meat paste...you ever have MREs before? That stuff is worse.

[Sokka knows that feeling, friend. Having a two year break from this place (but also not because their bodies clearly don't leave, what the hell, Atroma) and waking up here is not one of his favourite go-to memories. ]

Well, as usual, Atroma's sent us to a place with a horrible, creepy underside.

You were. Nothing terribly exciting or life altering. The ship and crew remain the same. Still on the same planet, though we've found out what happened to the people here.

Y'know the thing Atroma does where someone gets knocked out and wakes up with memories? Yeah. That. ... 's all.

[ But that look on Sorey's face, coupled with the memory of the mini-scolding he got from him back on the bullshit cannibal planet... Yeah, Eithan doesn't want to make his friend worry even more than he probably has been. Time to try and kick the deflecting habit before it gains momentum. ]

... You, uh, got some time to hang out for a bit? [ He takes a deep breath. ] It's cool if not, I just... It's nice not bein' alone right now.
