Waystation Mingle Log!
Who: GAME-WIDE MINGLE aka everyone
Broadcast: If you want
Action: The Stations!
When: From 04/05 through the month of April.
[Well, that all sure happened. But at least you have the waystations! Whether you want to stock up on supplies, work, trade, or visit the very fancy Virtual Reality Dome, it's bound to be a nice break from the attacks of the 5th.
Make your own prompts, set up your own Virtual Realities, etc! For reference, the OOC post with info is over here!]

everywhere else
until there's a bit of a commotion from somewhere over yonder, and one resident demigod of pain and agony suddenly bodily collides into his shoulder. it was a misfire. he ran way too close, and is already swearing--]
Oh, Tega-- [he grabs Hawke's arm for balance--stops to look over the person he's just run into, and flashes a quick grin.] Hello handsome! Hold this for me.
[he drops an engine part into his hand. and. bolts in the other direction.
there is what appears to be a small but relatively angry mob now headed Hawke's way.
so, thanks. buddy.]
no subject
So he'll just sally up to uh, relative safe distance, shall he? Apparent engine part in hand? ]
I take it this is yours.
[ This dryly to uh, someone. Do they have a leader? Or are they more or less roiling about in uncontrolled clot formation? ]
no subject
it quickly hauls off in another direction, with one of them making a break for it, and... when the dust settles, there's a sigh from up on a nearby shop awnings.]
Well, that didn't go how I expected.
no subject
I suppose hoping you'd have made at least a cursory effort to locate my next-of-kin would be too much to ask.
[ He appears to be stuck in 'incredibly dry' mode, but there's no hostility in it. ]
no subject
Does your crew count? I didn't mean it to be genuinely life-threatening.
[he frowns, but it's a bit of a show.]
I was rather hoping for a hilarious chase scene, with you and I shouting witty banter as we try to pass blame and avoid the growing, angry mob.
no subject
[ His face actually does light up, as is appropriate for 'Ooh.' ]
I'm sorry I missed the opportunity now! Next time you'll have to let me in on the script.
[ The likelihood that he actually would have gone along with such a plan lobbed gently and immediately at his face is .....greater than it would be for most people. ]
no subject
[he hops off the awning, landing on his feet with a little smirk.] It's going to hard to find that part again, though. I do wish you'd kept that.
no subject
[ That is easily a pack of lies. He steps neatly back, out of landing radius. ] What was it?
no subject
Oh, it's a connector piece for the engine. Sends fluid to the rotation belt so that the cycles above six-hundred rotations a minute don't burn a hole right through the deck...
[he spins his fingers around each other...]
They're a bit hard to find.
no subject
[ He may understand guns now, but engine parts are all Tevene to him. ]
Well. What do we need to do to get another one? A even better plan than stealing from large, angry ...whatever those were, I take it?
* [get it, because thedas doesn't have greece']
no subject
[which... may actually explain the giant fistfight that rolled away from them.]
But, there's another guy I met who probably has one.
no subject
[ As if this kind of thing happens to him often, which ...in fairness, it does. His canon is about as self-reflexively genre savvy as it gets. ]
Right, then. Care for company on your social call?
[ Plenty of times he'd pass up this sort of thing up, but he's not doing anything else with his time, and a person only lives like Hawke does for so long before it's just ...life. He may make jokes about gardening and naps, but he gets restless, and quickly. ]
no subject
[right, so, that flirting thing that he does... he might wink before he starts walking backwards--presumably in the direction of wherever this is.]
I don't think I'll be witness to two sudden mutinies in one day, but a little extra personality certainly wouldn't hurt.
no subject
[ How much is that, exactly. Meanwhile flirting is approximately a third of all Hawke's overall communication, so if Robin might wink it's possible Hawke's lashes might wing down, as if to say: ah, this is both familiar and fantastic.
So basically: lead the way. Hawke might occasionally point out an obstacle for Robin not to crash into. He's helpful that way! ]
no subject
[he will lead, happily. and take any and all advice on what not to crash into. he doesn't seem like he has to look over his shoulder all that much--but he likes that someone around here is paying attention.]
While we walk, what's your name? Since I've gone and roped you into a small ordeal, and all.
no subject
[ A beat, which he uses to gesture helpfully toward an unwieldy street sign. ]
Actually those ...might be eagles. Hard to say. They've got big, stabby beaks, I can tell you that much. What's yours? If we're performing the introductory tapdance.
no subject
How fortuitous! My name is Robin. Very much like the bird, though not a family name.
[he laughs, possibly entirely to himself.] Well, my whole family had bird names, so perhaps it is technically a family name as well.
no subject
Well, why stop once you hit on a working theme.
[ It's not an insult, Hawke's sword-wielding brother is like, literally named Carver. ]
no subject
So then, Hawk-- [it's hard to tell the very subtle difference in pronunciation, but.] --What do you do around here when you're not getting dragged into other people's problems?
