Waystation Mingle Log!
Who: GAME-WIDE MINGLE aka everyone
Broadcast: If you want
Action: The Stations!
When: From 04/05 through the month of April.
[Well, that all sure happened. But at least you have the waystations! Whether you want to stock up on supplies, work, trade, or visit the very fancy Virtual Reality Dome, it's bound to be a nice break from the attacks of the 5th.
Make your own prompts, set up your own Virtual Realities, etc! For reference, the OOC post with info is over here!]

VRD and OPEN
[There's really only one option for her first destination, and once it's pulled up and created in front of Jove she lets out a weak, choked kind of laugh.
It's a giant hall, stone walls and floors covered in expensive tapestries with the symbols of the Dalish on them. On either side of the pathway leading up to a dais are heavy wooden tables and chairs of dark wood set with a luxurious feast, huge statues set behind them, closed doors leading off to other parts of this apparent castle.
As she walks up toward the dais, though, her destination is clear. There's a throne there, emblazoned with the eye and sword symbol of the Inquisition, and it's with a smile she touches the red fabric. The stained glass windows behind the throne throw colored lights over her, her hair and skin dappled with red and yellow and purple before she finally sits.
There are no people recreated here, it's just Jove on a throne she finds she's missed, and even though she knows it's fake, even though she knows it isn't soft and welcoming, it looks terrifying with its stark coloring and the spikes extending from it, but it's home all the same. It's hers, and she sighs contently as she sits back and relaxes in it.]

He's still prefer a dank hole somewhere, but this feels like a safe place. Eventually, he makes his way over to her.]
So this is where you run the Inquisition.

He could live in Skyhold, if he wanted to. There are enough silent corners, untraveled areas, he could be as isolated as he wanted while still in the company of people she knows would come to love him. He deserves that. If there's a way to make it happen, if it's something Dorian would want...
But then Fenris is there speaking to her and it draws her out of her thoughts. She smiles at him and pats the armrest of the throne.]
It is. It's called Skyhold, Solas brought us here when we lost our first encampment. When we first arrived, it was in terrible shape. It took a lot to get it looking this nice.
no subject
He has never found a place to call home. Kirkwall was something...close, but it wasn't quite it. Home was where his patched together family were, and from what he gathers of the future, they will be scattered to the winds. ]
Well, you have done a fine job. It looks spectacular.

He comes in anyway, because he wants to see Jove.]
I miss it. The people, coming, courting, coveting, I miss all the people.
no subject
I miss it too. I never really expected the Inquisition to become like a home to me, but now I can't imagine living anywhere but Skyhold. Permanently, anyway.
[The Fleet is fine, for now. Better with the more recent addition of faces from home.]

[He comes up closer, sitting by the throne and looking out at the empty hall.]
Dalish don't live in a single place, do they?

Skyhold is... there isn't a word, precisely. The closest thing to a castle he's ever been in was Vigil's Keep, and for all that the Keep was almost as run down as Skyhold looks like it probably was once, it can't hold a candle to this kind of impressive architecture. It reminds him more of the Circle, almost, with the chilly air and the high ceilings that make him feel microscopic, but that's about where the similarities end. He could spend time here and not mind, he thinks.
He stops where he assumes is the greeting area for her throne, where guests or prisoners would be presented, and he gives her a wide, exaggerated bow.]
My lady.
no subject
You may approach, serah.
no subject
So this is all very elaborate. Does it have something to do with all those people who call you "Inquisitor"?
[He hadn't mentioned it before, never saw a point to, but all of this casts her in a very new (though not necessarily bad) light. It's just there to test the waters, to demonstrate that he's been paying attention while other people talk, and to see how she reacts to it.
Regardless, he knows the history of the Inquisition. He knows that, for all intents and purposes, it's something he should probably be wary of. But he isn't wary of her, and that takes precedence over whatever's been written in centuries old history books.]

With how large the area is, she can't help but skip halfway as she traveled back and forth between tables, windows, and statues. She even tries to sit in some of the chairs for a brief moment before wandering off to stare at something else. She's looking upon everything with her childlike awe and quiet fascination. ]
no subject
Should she get up? Try to sneak off it before the girl sees her? She doesn't want to scare her, after all, not when she looks so sweet ambling around the place for a better look. It's endearing, the way she seems so fascinated by the place Jove has come to call her home. In the end she's too distracted, forgets to get up, and just calls to her softly and hopes her gentle manner will keep the experience from being too scary.]
It's too bad the food isn't real, isn't it?
no subject
Umm... yes... [ The voice doesn't make her jump, but she backs away from the table quickly, tucking her arms behind her back. The person on the throne looks different from anyone she has seen before, but she's mostly worried that she's an authority figure. Like a king, queen, or something. Not that it really matters here.
Still, It makes her feel bad for skipping around the place like it's some big playground. ]
I'm sorry.

[He shouldn't be so nosy, he knows, but Finrod can't quite help it. Is this what it's like to be Artanis? To get this glimpse into people's minds? To know where their hearts lie? It's amazing his sister is as restrained as she is.
And when he saw this- well, how could he resist investigating. Somewhere at the crossroads of familiar and unknown, a lot like Jove herself, really. No surprise who this place belonged to.]
Though you seem to have forgotten your adoring public.
no subject
Thank you. It was a mess when we first arrived, piles of wood and broken furniture everywhere. We still haven't repaired all the walls, but it's home. I've missed it.
[And the adoring public part makes her laugh lightly, shake her head.]
I would say that I left them out, actually. The hall hasn't been this empty is months, I almost forgot what the carpets look like.
no subject
[He walks slowly toward the throne, turning and looking in all directions as he does, his hands clasped behind his back.]
Ah, the adoring yet demanding crowd, then.

[Eventually, he finds himself in Skyhold. It's a magnificent, one that even makes the one in Meltokio seem a bit on the quaint side. And frankly it feels good to be surrounded by medieval stone and torches than the bright painful lights and cold steel that the futuristic worlds seem to present.]
[It takes him a bit to notice whom is sitting in the throne. Which wow, wasn't expecting that twist]
Jove? Wait, is this your castle? [He lets out a small laugh of surprise as he steps forward. It's not malicious. Just wow, you so don't act like a royal] Wow! You never mentioned you were royalty before.
Should I be bowing?
no subject
It's my castle, but I'm not exactly royalty and bowing is definitely something you may skip.
[Which isn't to say it hasn't been done before, but it wouldn't sit right with her to see a friend do it. Truthfully it rarely sat well to see anyone do it.]
In my world there's a group called the Inquisition, and I lead them. One of my titles is Inquisitor.
no subject
The Inquisition, huh? What's that about? [This all seems crazy formal]

slipping silently into the hall, he's gazing around at all of the imposing finery, and feeling more than a little nostalgic. he breathes deeply, absorbs the atmosphere. this sort of place that makes him feel at home.]
no subject
Let him explore, take the place in and feel safe here. It's the least she can give him after how much she's taken.]

This takes me back. [his eyes settle on Jove.] The terrifying, spiky throne is a nice touch.
no subject
I always thought so. Nothing like a few feet of sharp steel to strike a little fear.
no subject
[he looks very comfortable here! and she doesn't seem bothered by his presence, so he continues forward, gloved hands clasped politely behind his back.]
Though... I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but I wouldn't have pinned you for the "strike fear into the hearts of men" type.
