That just makes Leilani think of the magic of home - frost magic, things like fire, Rift being like Earth... The power this boy has is comparable to mages, she thinks, but the delight he feels in using it and, what, bending it? It's the sort of awe and joy that she felt the first time she realised she was a mage and it warms her from the inside out.

All she can do is let her eyes drag over the movement of the water as he brings it down and puts it in the skin, and she shakes her head, her expression a touched awed and interested. She wishes she could do something like that, but she can't deny that her own magic is just as useful in the right situations. All that she knows is that she misses the Anchor, fiercely, in moments like this.

"That's amazing." Leilani laughs a little, shifting and moving around, darting away and heading towards another corner. "It's a good thing there's a lot of water around or you'd be in trouble."
