Pool Party Go
Who: Nami and you
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: Iskaulit Gardens
When: 1 July
[Video]
So in two days I'm turning ... I think it's twenty four! [Even if she looks eternally twenty, but hey, it's a good age for a cute girl to be stuck at. She can tell herself that, anyway.] And unlike last year, I'm at least stuck in a place I can celebrate it.
So barring us all getting trapped in each other's heads again, in two days' time I'm throwing a party by the Iskaulit's pool, because I'm tired of running events in the bar and this planet doesn't look like a wise choice for idiots to get drunk down below. Please come. Bring yourselves, bring a bathing suit, bring whatever. I'll set up a little mini bar and everything!
...
...also, is anyone considering exploration beneath the islands? Inquiring minds want to know.
[Gardens]
[She's been busy down here lately. Has a whole vegetable patch going and everything and her turnover is slowly getting healthier as she gets more practised at it. She never had a problem with the mikan trees, though. From seeds to saplings to-- Asteffiel helped them along right at the start, but all the same.
You can find her with a basket, gently cutting down the fruit that's ripe enough, and trying not to let her mood sink. She was never meant to be here long enough for a handful of seeds to become fully grown trees. Please offer her a distraction.]

Well, I suppose I should consider myself lucky that I have someone to embarrass me over the devices about my most recent birthday, Nami.
[He likes Space Bar and the current owner's always been friendly when he arrives, so why not talk to her now that he has the chance.]
But a pool party, you say?
Video
But yes. Do you have them where you're from?

[Cheeky is fine. Cheeky he can live with.]
No, I can't say that we do. When I was child, we just swam in the lake around Redcliff village and there aren't that many places to really swim in the capital.
no subject
Well, I guess it'd be like having a party at the lake's edge. Just less mud involved. And possibly less monsters, depending on the kind of lake.

[Nami, he's the gift king. He's gotta do better than a rag. Time to consult his wife.]
As far as I know, there are no monsters in Lake Calenhad. Well, we haven't had any reports of them or undead rising from its depths as of late.
[There was that time with Conner, but we're not talking about that.]
But otherwise, that sounds like a great plan. This pool is on the Iskaulit, yes?
no subject
That's right! It's no lake, but the water is heated. Points in its favour. No undead invited.
no subject
Heated water. Sounds needlessly opulent. I'll have to check it out at least once.

Wives are probably a necessary element to get a proper evaluation, that's true. Do you want to bring her to the party?

It doesn't seem fair to extol how happy and fluffy his life is here while others are away from those they love. He knows discretion at least.]
I will make sure to definitely bring her along. She enjoys parties and swimming and making a great deal out of any reason to celebrate. It would be a fine event for her. And, you know, anything to keep the wife happy means a good life for me.

[Bartender customer repartee.]

She's actually the one who pointed me that way the first time! Evidently it was started by a friend from home when he was here.
[A friend Alistair's never met. Yet.]

That's right! Varric. I was one of the first people he hired, and the friendliest one. [So she got saddled with it when he vanished. Man after her own heart, Varric.] The place hasn't really changed since he left.
