1. Action - SS Blameless

[He returns the same way he disappeared: quietly, just a presence that suddenly poofs on his bed. A very comfortable bed, mind you, but Shiro still groans: his whole body is sore and his head is a mess. That single sound is enough for Procyon, though, who is now running through the hallways to jump right into his master's room and then his lap.

Barking and a celebratory "awoo!" can be heard echoing in the ship. Hi, Blameless, Procyon wants you to know your captain is back.]

2. Network | Video

[This broadcast definitely comes from Shiro's communicator, everyone should be able to tell, but the face appearing first on the screen isn't him - it's Ulaz. He seems to be sitting on a bed - Shiro's captain room, for those that could recognize it.]

Good evening. It seems Shiro, the captain of the Blameless, has returned. However, he needs time to rest and recover. As such, there will be specific hours for visiting him until his recovery has progressed.

What? [Shiro's voice comes off screen, but not for long. He's soon taking a peek over Ulaz's shoulder, showing his very white head now and a lack of right arm. He looks tired as hell too. Surprise?] Ulaz, that's not what we agreed on. I'll stay in bed like you asked me to, but I need to see my friends. This isn't a hospital. [Looking at the camera now.] Thanks to everyone that visited Procyon, and sorry for any inconve--

[Oops, the patient(?!) is being unruly, and so Ulaz decides to cut the broadcast right there before Shiro manages to socialize one more second of his tired time.

[Well, knocking Shiro out hadn't been intention, but it would allow him to continue with worrying about Shiro's pain or discomfort. It seemed to be linked more than he thought it would]

[It wasn't that strong so it likely wouldn't take too long before Shiro was starting to come around. Ulaz had gotten the rest of the metal off, as much as was possibly since the method of connection still needed to be maintained for a new arm, but he left it unbandaged at the moment, since Shiro had wanted to see it. He also had taken the sample as well and was setting up to run the test on it]

[Waking up is easier than other times. The drug has put him to sleep, but because it was through his arm, it wasn't strong enough to leave him dizzy. It probably was more effective because he was weak, too. Maybe it'll be different in the future.

He looks around at first, remembering where he is - ah, still in the lab.]

Ulaz? How long have I been out? [He sounds disappointed, but also well rested now. Go figure. Now to look at his arm... huh.] ...so you did it.

Not long. Just enough to get most of it off.

[He came back over]

I've set up the test so we can find out if you are still having the issue. I haven't bandaged it up yet so if you have any questions.

Questions about the arm? [His eyes go from Ulaz to the stump, considering what he knows and what he doesn't.] You don't know much more about the changes, do you? This was after you worked on it. [He sounds incredibly frustrated.] Unless you've found something new, then bandaged it up. We can talk about my other questions somewhere more comfortable.

There were features of the arm itself that I didn't know, but in terms of the terminal connection, it is the same. I can have the equipment try to extract code to see what else it was supposed to do, but that will take time and could bring nothing more useful than what we have.

[But he nods, getting some bandages and carefully bandaging what's left of Shiro's arm. It probably wasn't the most pleasant experience, but certainly not as painful as removing the arm. He makes sure it is well-bandaged so in trying to navigate his temporary situation, Shiro didn't hurt his arm.

Also with it bandaged and protected now, Ulaz helps with removing the chest piece of paladin armor]

We'll go back to your room. I'll help you change and then you can ask your questions.

[No avoiding questions this time.

He would have had said rest, but Shiro had gotten a short nap and it wasn't like he was going to let Shiro go run around the track just yet.

He moves to Shiro's left side, offering help up. This time he won't carry him unless Shiro needs it]

Do it. It doesn't have to be now, the arm is yours to work with at your own pace. But check the code. Even if the chance is slim, it's better than nothing.

[It's definitely not pleasant, the end of stump being incredibly sensitive to the touch. But Shiro deals - he bites his tone and only lets a short hiss escape him. He's gone through worse, he can take this, right now he only wants Ulaz to be done with it.

His expression softens, though, when Ulaz accepts to answer his questions. Finally.. He only had to die first, go figure.]

My room works. I should probably take a shower, too. [A pause as he gets off the table and accepts Ulaz's help but putting his one arm on him for support.] ...thanks, Ulaz.

No, it does not have to be now. I can set it up to run for a while on its own.

[Ulaz knew what he had gone through on the ship so he might have expected more of a reaction from someone else. Only a small hiss didn't surprise him, but did at the same time.

Yes, he did agree to answer his questions. He had never refused completely to answer, just that it was a bad timing]

Yes, a shower would be good. I can help you with getting prepared. We should get clothing for you to change into from your cabin first. [Ulaz puts his arm carefully around Shiro as well to help support him] You're welcome.
