Note: I haven't changed my icons yet (getting to that soon!), but Shiro looks like this now. Let me know if you character can sense stuff about others' souls, Shiro has been through some shit.

1. Action - SS Blameless

[He returns the same way he disappeared: quietly, just a presence that suddenly poofs on his bed. A very comfortable bed, mind you, but Shiro still groans: his whole body is sore and his head is a mess. That single sound is enough for Procyon, though, who is now running through the hallways to jump right into his master's room and then his lap.

Barking and a celebratory "awoo!" can be heard echoing in the ship. Hi, Blameless, Procyon wants you to know your captain is back.]

2. Network | Video

[This broadcast definitely comes from Shiro's communicator, everyone should be able to tell, but the face appearing first on the screen isn't him - it's Ulaz. He seems to be sitting on a bed - Shiro's captain room, for those that could recognize it.]

Good evening. It seems Shiro, the captain of the Blameless, has returned. However, he needs time to rest and recover. As such, there will be specific hours for visiting him until his recovery has progressed.

What? [Shiro's voice comes off screen, but not for long. He's soon taking a peek over Ulaz's shoulder, showing his very white head now and a lack of right arm. He looks tired as hell too. Surprise?] Ulaz, that's not what we agreed on. I'll stay in bed like you asked me to, but I need to see my friends. This isn't a hospital. [Looking at the camera now.] Thanks to everyone that visited Procyon, and sorry for any inconve--

[Oops, the patient(?!) is being unruly, and so Ulaz decides to cut the broadcast right there before Shiro manages to socialize one more second of his tired time.

Please send ~~help~~ entertainment?]

[Sometime after Procyon has greeted him and Ulaz has seen to it that he'll be in bed, Biffy comes trotting in. He'd knock but no hands. He sniffs the air before deciding he's just going to have to be bold about this.

So he trots to the edge of the bed and sits by it to wait for Shiro to acknowledge him, bowing his head politely to him when he does.

Hello. He's stuck as a wolf right now but he's still here to greet you.]

[Shiro may complain a bit about bedridden, but the truth is, he does need to rest, to let his two set of memories align with each other, if that's even possible. So he's cuddling the hell out of his dog and distracting himself by running his fingers through his fur - it's relaxing, he must admit.

He doesn't notice the new presence in the room until Procyon lets out a playful woof. Shiro looks in that direction and... huh.]

Biffy? Is that you?

[He sure does like the animal that usually appears on the cameras, but it's unusual for the man to enter a room unannounced, strict for manners as he is.]

If he refuses to stay to put I can come over and sit on him if you'd like. In this form or my real one.

[hi Shiro, welcome back]

[He nods his head. Yes, that's him. He's the wolf right here, hello.

And he gives a little noise to Procyon. He's pleased to see you too, little dog.

Back to Shiro then. He studies his new appearance and comes to the conclusion that he quite likes it. It suits him. Then again, he's always found blonds more attractive and white hair would qualify. Still, he's concerned about what could have led to him being in such a state.]

Baku! [Oh man, he's so glad to see her, because he's missed her, but also because he's gonna need her-- oh, geez. Really? Shiro is totally not pouting right now, no sir.] I brought you lots of candy and this is what I get in return, I see.

[did you really just. She can't help the faint grin that breaks her usual neutral expression] I can bring Mochi along, too. She likes sitting on people as well.

[Mochi is her snow leopard. Of course she has a cat]

I can't welcome you properly until the doctor says I can, Shiro.

_{[ Well, this has been a week, hasn't it? A day, really. Lance. Shiro. If nothing else, he can see that... shit has gone down, to say the least. His friends are coming back, more broken than before, and it worries him to say the least. A suddenly white head of hair is never good on anyone.

He brought along the 3-D chess board in its little carrying case again, and a deck of cards in his pocket as the back up. A knock on the door, and he popped in, giving Shiro one of those patented smiles. ]}

Is the coast clear?

[So it is him. Huh. Shiro closes his eyes for a moment, letting the memories do their thing - he must add the fleet time to the mix, too, what a mess. But things slowly come together and, after a sigh, he looks at Biffy again, a small smile appearing on his tired expression.]

Hey, Biffy. It's good to see you again. Sorry if we woke you up.

[He knows it must be late, from what he got from Ulaz. And Procyon hasn't exactly been quiet about his arrival.]

[Shaking his head, he lets him know that he's fine. He hadn't been sleeping yet. Honestly he's more concerned about his captain and what would put him in this condition.

So he puts a paw on the bed and pads at it twice to ask permission to come up.]

No need to. Procyon has already claimed the spot.

[He turns the communicator to show his dog very comfortably resting on Shiro's body, stretched as much as he can be to cover as much human as he can too. Baku's doctor comment gets a sigh out of him.]

The doctor will have to make an exception. I wasn't kidding about the candy. [His expression becomes worried, his brow furrowing.] I hope it doesn't become too much for you. Have you been well fed while I was away?

[Yes, he just went through shit but he worries about her first.]

Awww, it was claimed already . . .

[she says, as if her threat was genuine and she was actually going to sit on him. She tilts her head, eyebrows raised]

You say that like I can't already tell how much candy you brought. [and she taps her temple, giving him a knowing look]

You're all making me fat. It's horrible.

[so, yes. She's been well fed]

[Not being allowed to move sucks big time, and his head is too much a mess to concentrate on anything anyway, so Shiro is in the process of throwing a ball around the room so Procyon can catch it and bring it back. It's a good exercise for his, you know, one arm.

When Jim pops in, they both pause, and Shiro offers a smile while Procyon wags his tail.]

Clear. Afraid of a doctor, captain?

[Shiro's eyebrows both raise at the silent request - it's surprising, but not unwelcome. Who would say no to a bed covered with dogs? Or almost-dogs. Close enough.]

Yes, of course. Get yourself comfortable.

His bedside manner does seem rather stern.

_{[ He closed the door behind himself, reaching down to give Procyon a
ruffle and pull himself up a seat. The chess set went as his feet, all the
situating himself giving him time to look the other over properly. White
hair. Lacking an arm. Tired, it seemed. What in the world had happened?
]}

So - do we want to talk about the elephant in the room, or should I sneak you something Ulaz doesn't want you to eat or drink first?

[Jumping up, he sniffs at Shiro, investigating to make sure he's really okay. Though, a lot of this seems to be...mental. Emotional. Nosing a bit more, he satisfies himself then promptly lays down next to him, putting his head on his paws.

He can stay here for a bit to offer comfort. This form is good for that.]

[Usually that would get a chuckle out of him, but this time it only makes a bit of a smile appear. So tired.] We can't have that. You'll have to join us at our 6am runs.

[Translation, he's glad she's been well fed, but let him cope with sassiness. There's a pause then, the tiredness taking over his expression again as he watches her hand gestures and that knowing look. What else can he do but ask?]

Can you tell what kind of candy? [Aka: does she know he's died?]

[you know those unimpressed faces cats sometimes give you when you try to tempt them with something? Baku has those down pat] Runs? No thank you.

[her hand drops and her neutral expression returns, albeit she's watching closely now. She shakes her head at the question] No, I'm not psychic. I have to see the candy to know what kind.

[Because Lyall is proper and a stickler for following social mores, he will actually come during authorized visiting hours and knock on the door.]

Welcome back, Captain.

[He doesn't comment on the new look, not yet, but you can bet both his eyes and nose are working on overdrive to catalog everything.]

Ooh, yikes. Laid up and you have a net nanny? That's rough.

[Bedrest is a hell of a thing, as Felix knows all too well. He certainly has sympathy for Shiro regarding the orders of his first mate.

Outside of a very quick poking in of his head to acknowledge Shiro's return, it takes Felix a few days to actually come visiting. He figures...someone like Shiro has enough friends to keep him more than occupied. At least for the first handful of days. And Felix is friendly enough with him, but they're not friends. Shiro is his captain and a crewmate and that does mean something but they haven't really had more than surface conversations. (Which is...ironic, considering they have definitely run into each other at weird hours in the middle of the night sometimes. Still, Felix tends to spend those times in engineering, keeping Gil company.)

In any event: it takes a few days. Also, he...probably doesn't visit during visitor's hours. Sorry Ulaz. But sometimes those long stretches of night are the worst. And he's up anyway. It's nearing about 1 am, and there's a very light rap on the door. He doesn't actually want to wake Shiro if he's sleeping.]

[Ulaz had been in the lab, doing his usual checks to make sure nothing had expired and everything was ready if needed - something he hoped never happened but was better to be prepared when he heard the sound of a canine scrambling on the floors of the ship. He glanced to see which one it was, spotting Procyon racing by. He put down what he had been holding and headed towards the door, watching down the hallway as though expecting something else to be there.

That was until he heard the sound of Procyon barking and howling, the sound coming from the direction of the ship's quarters. Shiro must be back. Ulaz immediately left the lab, heading the captain's quarters where he did indeed find Procyon and Shiro.

But it was the sight of Shiro that made Ulaz freeze for just a moment. His hair was now completely white and he was missing his right arm almost entirely. And what was left to the shoulder was also metal. He knew for a fact that was not something he'd done.

Ulaz immediately raced over, crossing the room in just a few strides] Shiro! Are you alright?

[Good dog, Procyon]

[Lance wakes up on the Huntress. But he doesn't remain there for long. The first thing on his mind, despite his thing with Keith, is Shiro. He's tired, he's definitely not all there in the head right now, but-- He has to see him.

Lance manages to make his way onto the Blameless, hightailing it to the other paladin's room. Whether Ulaz is there or not is completely disregarded, and Lance bursts right into the room.]

Shiro!!!

[Sorry, Ulaz, but there was no stopping the red and white streak of armor that came barreling into Shiro's room. No words, nothing. Just straight for the hug.

Oh... and the wearer of said armor definitely looked broader in the shoulders, and that already shaggy hair somehow got worse.]

Does he need healing?

[ There's some earnestness in her features; she genuinely wants to help. ]

[ Seeing that Lance had returned gave her hope for the others as well. And sure enough it's--

Ulaz?

She's been seeing a lot of him, recently. As as congenial as it has been, she would much rather see her friend. It's enough to ask how he is, she supposes, but when Allura catches that small glimpse of Shiro she is--

--concerned. What was that? ]

...I am pleased to see that he's returned.

[ But in one condition? ]

...Do you need any assistance?

[ She's not sure who she's directing this to at this point.

Also, what is a Procyon? ]
