to adventure!

Who: Magnus and you!
Broadcast: Yes
Action: The planet/the SS Vanquish
When: The last day or so before drift

[action; ss vanquish]

Wha—?!

[So, there's a pretty big generic warrior dude who appears on the bridge, accompanied by a pudding and a jingle and a burst of confetti. He knows he's without his trusty axe, sword, and javelin, so he's sorta stuck unarmed. But that's fine, he can take it! He can take it!

There's... nothing to fight here, though. Which he doesn't realize until he's football tackling a spinning chair. The chair spins, however, and he's not expecting to be stopped by a chair instead of a wall-- and he goes flying onto the floor. Head over heels. A little bit of confetti lands on top of his head. That's what we call a natural 1, folks.

Later on, Magnus is still getting acclimated to his new home, but at least he's found the kitchen. The issue is that he's not sure where the food actually is. He tries to get a drink but this switch only squeezes some of that nasty protein gel into his coffee mug.]
What the heck is this? [He makes a face and sniffs it.]

Wait. It smells like -- [sniff sniff] -- ... cheese?

[The beverage machine is over there. Maybe he'll figure it out.]

[The screen is a little uncomfortably close to Magnus' rugged jaw as he tries to find a good angle for this thing. Finally he figures it out and sets it on what appears to be a wooden table, somewhere-- a cafΓ©? Or maybe just a really stylish kitchen? It's hard to tell from the background alone. Magnus dominates most of the view even with personal space taken into account, and half of that is probably sideburns.]

Um... hail and well met! This is kinda weird and... definitely new, so I'm not totally sure you can see me? But uh, hopefully you can hear me. My name's Magnus-- Magnus Burnsides. I have a really, really important question to ask.

[A beat.]

Okay, two-- no, three questions? Actually, wait... you know what, I'll just stick with the big one for now.

Are you absolutely sure that the people who kidnapped us aren't in the really big ship everyone wakes up on? Because it seems to me-- we've got a bunch of ships, and we can probably steer them-- so, it seems to me like we should be able to get onto it somehow and poke around.

Has anyone tried that?
