I.) The Vanakaliva Islands / Planetwide Library System
[When Abel arrived on the surface of the planet, he immediately went to one of the resorts to hit the beautiful beaches and went camping out, sleeping outside, cooking over a campfire or fetch food from the resorts to stock up, to enjoy the warm weather and take pictures to put in his journals of the places his visit. He hikes to all the wild places, went sight-seeing to the cities, but the beach is his favorite warm place to read and write his books to watch the sunset and the distant stars in the night sky, and just enjoy his solitude like a hermit he is.
Afterward, he can be seen in the libraries of this world, visiting the civic places, the malls, museums, borrowing books and media, perusing them, and then take them back to read on the beaches near the resorts. Whatever money he earns, it goes on his shopping spree or whatever his ship needs.]
II.) The Singing Planet / Video
[The song he hears in his mind and tugging at his emotions made him restless. The song leads him to a pool, and from there, he found a trunk containing a lot of mementos from his homeworld. One of them is his colt gun, which he thought went long missing since his adventure drifting into space begins. Other than that, among the inventory were his clothes, a lot of credits to spend, and wet books, but within some of the books, tuck deeply inside are photographs, miraculously dry due to being tucked inside. They are pictures of his loved ones and friends back home. The discovery of the trunk containing his belongings and keepsake is outlandish and if anything absurd, but he came to the conclusion that the singing planet is sentient and is able to put anything from another dimension...at least, basing on what he gathered from the locals about world travelers and the history of this planet.
Still, receiving the photograph of his friends, his sister who is his last remaining family, it did strike a chord within him, a gentle reminder that he has unfinished business back home in his world. He felt homesick. He figured this is a sign, being a man of the cloth, that he will go home soon. He's a priest and very intuitive like that. It's a matter of when and divine timing, and soon and he should pray for a safe return home.
Hours later, the video is playing with a beach in the background. The sun is setting over the ocean, with palm trees, swaying in the breeze. In the video, Abel is playing a variety of instruments, namely a guitar at times, and then at times a flute. Most of the songs he sings are oldies goldies and folk-songs near a campfire, where he cooks his dinner.]
I can hear the planet singing. So many wonderful songs. I think I'll enjoy playing songs for this world as we share many. At least share a few songs with the planet's memory, before I return home someday.
