party on the pathstone

Who: Pathstone crew + ANYONE EVER WOW
Broadcast: nah bro
Action: YAH BRO
When: whenever bro

[Is the Pathstone more capable with a captain missing and another one replace with someone who does their job? How many people can fit into a captain's nest? Why is there a captain's nest? Has Solas painted the entire interior of the ship yet? Has Cole talked to each and every plant? Has Duke discovered that his ship has been previously worthless since basically the beginning of time? Will Crowley ever try to get his captain status back?

Tune in now for the answers to these questions and more in this episode of As The Pathstone Turns!]

[ Duke gives a faint nod. Makes sense to him. ]

... and thinking harder on it, likely a different sort of paint helps things as well.

A thicker kind, designed for harder materials. Some people enjoy painting on all kinds of canvases - there are sets for all of them.

[ He motions to the pots that lie in front of him. ]

These were a gift, bought for use on the ship.

[ Because if it was a harder material, and a thicker paint, it wouldn't run so much. ]

... A great deal of variables to it - does it take longer to dry, both due to the metal surface and the thicker paint?

[ Sorry not sorry for the curiosity. He can read about it all he likes, but its different in person. ]

From someone who wishes to see more of your art? [ Or is just really bored of the general metal color of the ship. ]
dirth: (where's the one)

It does, but that allows me time to move on to another section. Working in tandem with the rest of the piece, I think.

[ He shakes his head, unapologetic about his own interest and love for his art. Solas moves down, careful as he places the paintbrushes away and looks up at the mural, half-finished and handsome. ]

Yes. A dear friend of mine, Jove. Perhaps you know her?

[ Since Jove seems to know everyone. ]

Multitasking. Better if one color is needed multiple places?

[ ... At least, that's how it makes sense to him. ]

The engineer... and captain. I have been helping with simple things.

Exactly. I can do more work if I do it this way.

[ He nods his head, though, still smiling. ]

That is her, yes. Quite charming and helpful, don't you agree?
radiantwingedone: (I need not answer that)

[ A short nod - yep, what he thought.

Although he blinks, a little.. startled? Something close.
]

I am not the best to ask about 'charm', but she is very kind, yes.
dirth: (into the night?)

[ ... It might be that his appreciation for Jove is coming across too heavily for a moment. Solas pauses, turning back to his artwork with a soft hum. ]

Sometimes more than she ought to be, I imagine.
radiantwingedone: (Must have been quite a miracle.)

[ Duke has trouble with people, it could be entirely on his end. Unless Solas didn't mean "charming" with the implication of "pleasantly attractive", which is the definition Duke assumed... ]

That.. is something that I would agree many kind people run the risk of. [ Be too kind, and get hurt. He remembers the Child of the Full Moon, really. ]

... Of course, being kind usually also attracts those who would help them whether they realize they need it or not...
