[sometime in the evening, shortly after dinner, a grinning elven face (with brand new crazy bluish hair) appears over the network. the camera is unsteady, bouncing all over as he shuffles his grip on it.]

Guys! Hey, guys... did you know that there is a tattoo place here? And it's, like... right next door to this bar where everything looks like it's covered in gold? And... there's a place to dance...

[and--ah--he finally gets the communicator turned all the way from his face, so it can swing around to show clumsy shots of all the places he's mentioning. lots of light and sound, it looks like a party.

and eventually, the camera jostles around to show his face again, and he looks so excited.]

--Hey! We should totally all get tattoos! It'll be awesome!

[and anyone who heads down to meet him, or just happens to be walking through this section of the station, can find Nel either bopping around the waiting area of the tattoo parlor, or hanging out in the bar next door, looking over a free handout of tattoo designs.

[Then he chuckles as he slides the handout of tattoo designs back over to Nel.]

I don't know yet. There's one in here of one of those tall bird things on some kind of motorbike...

[and who knows if it's the big blurry one currently on the screen, because the camera is too close to close to actually focus on it.]

Anyway, yeah! I could make something like this and we could travel way easier on Waystations. Planets, too.

[and he spreads the pamphlet open in front of him, holding down one corner with an empty glass, so he can pick up his drink again.]

[but much more important is the topic of his potential new tattoo, and he is so super excited to share his great idea.]

[Adachi props his arm up on the counter, and rests his head on his hand. He orders a drink with the other, as he continues talking.]

A "cool" word, huh? So what comes to your mind?

[ Seeing the headtilt, she tilts her own head to mirror the action. What'cha doin', kid? ]

[Okay, he should have know the voice of reason wasn't going to work. Maybe chaperoning is called for.]

[yeah just going to keep staring. the catlike headtilt is not helping matters.]

[He notices something, and grins, pointing excitedly. ]

[and oho Nel has put some serious thought into this one, obviously. he grins and gestures with one hand, like he's envisioning the word painted on a wall in front of him instead of on his skin.]

Something good, like... "Sexy."

It's on the big station, on the main floor. The tattoo place is kind of by a dancefloor, but there's also a bar right next door that looks all gold. It pretty much glows. You can't miss it.

[and he'll be hanging around the bar, of course, because what else are you going to do while you wait to put big permanent marks on your skin.]

Yeah, sounds like it. [he turns off the communicator at this point, because it'll only serve to distract him. He likes the sound of a dancefloor: maybe he can distract the kid with a few spins around the dancefloor, put him in a shuttle and take him back home.

This is more or less the plan when he touches down on the station. He spots Nel immediately and walks up.]

Hey. How's it going?

[Adachi had only taken a single sip of his drink... but that still didn't stop it from coming out his nose as he half-choked, half-laughed. Give him a minute here Nel.]

[After his laughing fit dies down, Adachi takes a few deep breaths, calms himself down, and clears his throat before continuing.]

Ahem, well... heh... se- [Trying to not start laughing again.] sexy's a good choice.

Why not indeed, I say go for it.

Piercings, huh? [You have his attention.] You know, I've always been kinda curious about those. Friend of mine got his ears pierced. I thought they looked kinda dumb at the time, but he pulls it off somehow.

Please hold a spot for me!

[ With that and a smile, she cuts the comm off to go find him!! ]
