Well, waking up with knowledge I didn't glean for myself is quite an experience, I must say. Does this sort of thing happen often, or is it a once in a lifetime memory I get to cherish until my probably untimely death?

[Robin smiles a little at that. She's been on the run since she was eight, and fully expected death to catch up to her long before now. Untimely her death most likely will be, but she's been living on borrowed time for more than twenty years, so she has no particular complaints.]

I suppose I ought to introduce myself. My name is Nico Robin. I'm an archaeologist. And... security officer, it would seem.

[She does not look like the security officer type. More like the secretary a sexist boss hired for all the wrong reasons type. But who knows?]

It's been awhile since I've had to seek passage with a strange crew on a new ship, but that's worked out for me quite well the last couple times, so I'm not opposed to doing so again. It'll be the first time I do so in space, however. If there's some aspect of it that wasn't included in our instant training module, I do apologize.

[Shirley's smile fades, and some of the formality in her demeanor drops away as hesitation takes its place. She's still making an effort to stay positive, though!]

Could anybody please tell me what date it is? As best as we can, around here. I'd also appreciate if somebody could tell me more about what system we're in as well. And of course, if anyone who knows me is seeing this I'd like to hear from you. Has it been a while?

In any case, to everyone - thank you for hearing me now. Whatever's going on outside of the Marsiva right now, I hope you've found something to enjoy here.

Hello, everyone!

[Is it a little late right now? It's a little late right now. People are probably wandering off to sleep; adults, anyway. Now that they're stuck on a planet or float around one, day and night cycles seem all the more prevalent in their day-to-day lives. Unfortunately, Koala is finding that she's had a hard time sleeping as of late. Bad dreams, as they had before, still persist — but it's gotten worse, since Winter's rampage.

That's not even to mention her anxiety feels... off the charts. Anyone who has been around her has probably noticed she's a bit twitchy, especially as far as touch is concerned. She's been easily spooked, feels like any moment someone will grab her and hurt her (punish her, for what, she's not sure). Sorry, Winter... It's hard to turn off her restlessness.

She would hate to bring that up.

But on the flipside, she's really quite afraid of not getting enough sleep.

Because if she can't properly work and keep up, well... nothing bad will happen. But it's hard to shake that instinct.]

U-um, hello to everyone who is awake right now, I mean. I'm sorry if I interrupted your bed time. I just wanted to ask... What reason do you usually find yourselves awake longer than you should be...? O-or... do you have trouble sleeping? If it's not too forward to ask such a thing! I apologize if it's very personal information. I just... I was wanting to know if anyone here had any advice for someone who, um — for a friend who might have a difficult time sleeping!

[ Waking up somewhere unusual isn't the strange part; that's something he's grown depressingly used to in his sorry excuse for a life. [ her thumb hovers. she nearly adds I am so sorry but thinks better of it, in the end. peggy carter is confined to her bed in the captain's quarters aboard the starstruck, propped up on a small mountain of pillows with most of her torso bandaged and wrapped. a pair of broken ribs, at least. she hasn't properly listened to her own damage report, yet. but the consistent throb in the side of her skull suggests winter's initial blow landed harder than she'd first anticipated. one eye is still puffed up, bruised, and swollen to the point where it doesn't see a thing. one half of her face is streak of black and blue now that the blood's been cleared away.

she doesn't use the network's voice or video function. her texts are slow, business-like, and methodical. and she'll text for as long as she can before someone with a busier body than her own shows up to confiscate her device. but she hasn't been able to adequately parse the information that flew quickly and efficiently in the hours following her own fight and black-out and lonely struggle to an empty shuttle.

even now, it's about all she can manage to toggle the privacy settings and message her first mate individually: ] Ahsoka. Please see me in my room. ASAP.

[You know, Clay hadn't been expecting a day like this. All he was doing was going to the Iskaulit to do some workouts in the gym, even bopping to a tune playing in his head.

Of course, that all comes a stop when he sees the mess before he sees anyone else. Blood trailing through the hallway, like someone had been walking with it. His stomach churns a bit, and his first instinct is to flee and get someone with medical help. Like Jennifer, or Beverly, or...

But no, he's here, and he... doesn't really realize just how bad it is yet. He returns to his shuttle first to grab the first-aid box, then heads in to see who needs his help.

And upon following the trail, well... Turns out, it's a lot worse than he thought it'd be, and that instinct from before comes back full force. He's only had some lessons, he's not prepared for this level of medical trauma, he really isn't -

And that's why he'll be calling out on the comms - not video, because there are kids on the network, but it's pretty clear by the state of his shaky voice that this is definitely an emergency.]

[You would think someone was holding Mystique at gun point with the initial look she gave the camera, looking none too happy to be making this broadcast, but a huff of a sigh and roll of her eyes later and she managed to compose herself to a more neutral expression. She of course could fake a more fitting emotion easily, she was well versed in acting a part but since this wasn’t a mission she saw no point in pretending to be something she isn’t. Others would just have to deal with that fact.]

After being in talks with other occupants of our current predicament, it seems the best way to past time here between our semi regular stops is to take up a hobby or something of the likes. And considering I came here with practically nothing, [Not that Mystique needed much, yet she certainly had been missing her weapons until she was on board the Golden and had gotten access to guns again, sating her need to be constantly armed.] And I have been told my typical actions are not the most practical choices here, [There was a pause as she seemed to struggle with saying the next words, as if the entire idea disgusted her.] I would be interested to know what others do as hobbies or to past the time. [That may be the closest to her asking for help that most here are going to get out of her.]

I am willing to swap information. I may not be practiced in more mundane activities but I do have a wide knowledge on more specialized topics if someone wants practice on how to arm and protect themselves.

Small fishing boat, it's on fire.

She wants to jump but she's not a good swimmer. Someone grabs her by her legs, holds her like a prized fish, and she flails. 'Got a live one,' Blurry Face says, 'This one'll make for a fine addition.' Dad doesn't call out for her anymore, because Dad is — wake up, wake up, wake up, open your eyes...!

Bright lights, classical music, Koala drags her feet. The stage is lit, hurts her eyes, she swears she sees her mom and dad sitting in the front row. Do they see she's scared? She just wants to go home. She's the smallest on the stage, and she sells for more than she's ever heard; she remembers thinking coins in a jar were pretty and shined like treasure, but it's really not a lot now that she hears the other prices on other chained people, some shaped human and others shaped not. Someone near her is dancing and performing on command, but they don't look like they enjoy dancing much at all. Mom and dad watch and clap and smile. Koala pulls at her metal collar and blubbers miserably, fat hot tears down her face. Why aren't they coming up to the stage and taking her back? She's not anybody's but theirs. She wants to go home.

She forgot dad's rules. His dying rule. Whatever you do, Koala, don't cry. They won't like it when you cry, she understands now. They see it as weak, annoying. But she can't stop. Why can't she stop sobbing? She never sobbed in the auction house...! The master, holding his ring of keys, steps forward and lumbers high above her (he shouldn't be here, he should be in the clouds, in his mansion with his family who refuses to breathe peasant air), and says sharply, 'I hate crying little brats,' and then he pulls his hand back at her and swings roughly and—

Koala wakes with a start, hand clutching the fabric over her heart and she shakes and pants and smiles wide impulsively.

Just the dreams, just the dreams sometimes. She touches her neck and finds it smooth, not buckled with explosives.

Safe.

Safe in a bed that is hers, in a room that is hers, in a crew that is not going to be cruel to her. And yet she can't cry about this. Crying for others is easy, but for herself — it's too frightening. She breathes out, forces back any of the burn in her eyes, and shuffles out of bed, still in the jumpsuit she wears as pajamas. She really should put her shoes on. Nobody likes dirty little feet on their clean floors.

She slips her shoes on, one at a time, and rises. She's not sure if others are sleeping for the 'night', because there really isn't a night, but it's undoubtedly not daytime on the moon, so people are more likely asleep than not. Instead she goes out and makes herself a glass of tea and a small bowl of food, and tries to calm herself with it. There's an uneasiness about her as she sits in the kitchen, hair a bit wild and sweat on her brow. But she slowly does calm over time, is slowly able to eat with a steadier hand. The adrenaline has tapered off, but her mind is restless.

Going back to sleep sounds scary.

She gets up and wanders aimlessly around the Iskaulit... anywhere, really. She doesn't want to go to the planet (it's dark! nobody should like the dark), but she doesn't want to be standing still, certainly. Some motion will do her good. Somewhere to focus, yes! She simply needs to smile and face her day, and remember that things are so very good. Remember, papa would like for you to be happy. Remember, he told you never to cry. You've already broken that, but... But! You can still be strong!

One can find her on the Huntress, or in her aimless wandering from bar to gym to garden to - anywhere, really, on the Iskaulit.

She is rather determined to occupy herself with what everyone else is doing.

Through her chewing, she addresses the fleet, manners be damned.]

Most of you guys are that the dance thing on the polluted planet, right? [She takes another chip and pops it in her mouth, completely ignoring the fact that said planet is actually a moon. She really doesn't care.] What's the appeal? Just showing off how pretty you can be if you actually try?

[Her feet move lower, and she pushes off the edge of the console, spinning the chair around a few times, camera feed following. Hope no one gets motion sickness easily.]

No, really. Explain it to me. I wanna see if any reasoning makes sense. Not that I'm putting money on it.

[When Han falls into his coma on the first (April Fools! too bad she's unaware of the holiday), Koala starts out panicked the first hour, and then plotting the next. It's terrifying, of course. Of course it is. How can it not be scary, to have your friend collapse and not wake up when shaken? But now that he's laid down to sleep — some strange, unnatural slumber, nothing at all like someone simply asleep — she paces and bites her nails and tries to think of the best thing to do.

She pinches his arm. She yells loudly in his ear and slams two cans together. She splashes water on his face. She looks for magical potions or medicines or anything of the sort on the moon that would make him rise. Someone gives her something to run under his nose; they said it wakes people from fainting. Nothing. She runs in and hollers that his precious Millennium Falcon's arrived, and that they're going to smash it up if he doesn't come get it.

Nothing works at all, and eventually she sinks into the chair near his bunk, puts her face in her hands, and sits distraught for a moment with a wide, unnatural smile on her face — one anyone would recognize as all nerves.]

I-it's okay, Mr. Solo. We'll figure something out! There must be something I missed.

[Guilt wrecks her in ways she doesn't understand entirely.

She thinks of lecturing Han about wedding rings. And Leia being gone, just suddenly gone.]

[The feed opens to a smile, strained, incredibly strained. But unlike her usual facade, she's abandoned the mask of a pleasant, friendly worker; here, it's simply the impulse of a child who is absolutely terrified to cry on a fleet-wide entry.]

I-I've tried everything I can to wake up Mr. Solo, but still nothing... He just sleeps! Even telling him the ship was on fire didn't work; I'd hoped he'd hear and I could just apologize many times for causing a scene, but he just... keeps sleeping... Is this — is it because he's depressed? Because his — his friend and... and the person he loves were gone, and maybe he just wore himself out, because he was so upset! That's how it works, right? Sometimes people lose the will to keep walking; I've seen it before!

[She seems to be partly talking to herself, as if explaining inwardly. Trying to make sense of such a random event.]

I don't know what to do... I must've, must've have made this worse for him...! After all, I-I was talking about wedding rings! His wedding ring to the princess he cared about. I was talking about such a wonderful thing, but I never even considered how easily people can come and go. I've made it so much worse, to remind him of that right before she'd left, and he's gone and fallen into a deep, terrible sleep! I... I opened my big mouth and jinxed it! Maybe if I hadn't, it would have been easier...

[Sniffling loudly, tears brimming her eyes,she turns away slightly to scrub at them with the rag she's been wringing all the while.]

Oh, no — no, I'm not allowed, I shouldn't... It only makes things worse. But I miss Miss Leia and her lessons, and I don't... know what to do for Mr. Solo... Being able to make your own choices is so difficult; not knowing what your choices even are is so difficult! How does anyone handle it?

He's going to wake up, right?

[Surely he must. It won't be like her father. Mr. Solo isn't hurt! Just — a little stuck, is all.

Until then, she's going to just... go clean up. Maybe she should find more work to do.

Money is very important, after all. She bows her head, voice lower as she trails off.]

If only Miss Leia were here... If a prince can wake up the person they love, then maybe a princess could, too... Couldn't they?

Attention...!

I will not use names, because I don't want to embarrass them, b-but...! I needed to tell a very particular pilot something very important! And that is this: if you do d-decide to propose to Miss L — to, ummmm... to your girlfriend, you should not give her a ring made out of spaceship parts. Because that's kind of strange to wear. I believe that sort of advice should be applied to everyone, though...!

Unless the person you love really, really, really enjoys spaceships.

I suppose we should all wear what makes us happy!

I do admit, I've always wanted jewelry... I-I mean, I know they're very expensive most of the time, but I've never gotten to wear any before. Maybe I should make some! Oh, but I don't think I would be very good at it... Is there a particular way to make nice jewelry, even for someone like me? Necklaces and rings and....

I don't think I can wear earrings. That seems like it would hurt.

[In light of certain updates from certain hunters, Nami is trying really, really hard not to take her impressive temper out on the person who's effectively her roommate on the Bloodsport. But being angry and trying to convince yourself not to lash out at someone you think may deserve it but might not so let's be nice about it doesn't really help your mood any. Nami doesn't want to lay into Cas. So Nami avoids Cas. Just for a little while. Because she respects their friendship enough not to damage it in a fit of anger, but also because she thinks trying to punch an angel might be bad for her hand. You know.

So Nami is avoiding the Bloodsport. Which isn't that hard when you've somehow found yourself working at both bars on the Iskaulit. She pulls all the extra shifts she can, keeps busy, works her temper off in fits and starts, and devotes some of her extra time to visiting the gardens to see how her mikan saplings are going, and generally explores what the Iskaulit has to offer.

Really, you can find her drinking at a bar, behind a bar, or anywhere else on the ship. Pick your poison.]

[Furiosa has been thinking lately; unfocused, meandering, leisurely. It's been an adjustment being in an environment that is at the same time far more free and open than the society she'd come from, and yet with distinct and unbreakable limitations.]

[Sitting with Max in the park, helping to build and grow the gardens on the Iskalut, even just caring for her own little plant from Asteffiel, were in themselves little victories, prided moments.]

[She begins a video feed in the park, the camera focused on a crow as she tosses it bits of bread (that, alone, was different; having enough food that you could give it to such a feathered thief.]

[sara awakens with a gasp, shooting not just upright but to her feet and reaching for -- coming up empty-handed. she frowns, dropping her hand, and pivots on her heel to take a good look at her surroundings. this is...different. once she's convinced there's no immediate threat, she searches her bunk for what she knows is missing, and eventually notices the open feed on her communicator. there's a brief moment where she eyes it sharply, then clicks it off.

we were trained by the league; no prison can hold us. it's what she wants to say, but when she turns the feed back on ten minutes later, she seems more relaxed; some people might recognize the tune she briefly hums.]

So, [she draws out the word: sooooo] what's a girl got to do around here to find a little company?

Ah, hello! I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything; please, don't mind me if I'm troubling you!

[Koala's familiar, unnatural smile has appeared! She seems to be in her black jumpsuit and white tank -- though she's taken to Han Solo's advice and bought a blue dress for herself, which appears to be hanging up in her closet next to her yellow dress. And it appears there is a clown-fish shaped child's mug on her dresser, and a strangely ice-sculpted flower in a pot behind her (thanks, phantom person). It's not much, but it's still a far cry from her plain room from her first few weeks. And not only that, but a new revelation! She has a pillow with a cat on the pillowcase! GRANTED IT'S A VERY ODD CHOICE FOR AN ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD... but hey, progress!

Still clean as hell, though. She's clearly just gotten finished with her chores, wiping her bangs out of her face. They've been growing out a little, getting in her eyes.]

I - I wasn't sure if I should say, before, but... That is, I wasn't sure if I would be punished for it, when I arrived here! But now I am trying to listen to Mr. Zuko and the others, and... and try not to think like a slave! So I will not stay quiet when I have questions! Forgive me if that is very straightforward of me.

I was wondering, um. If you have a burn, and it is not... If it's healed, but it itches badly sometimes, what... should you do?

S--sometimes it is when I am working, but it can also be when I sleep; some nights it itches so fiercely, I have trouble falling asleep!

The first time it happened, I was not allowed to say anything, but... But now, I think I can.

... I'm allowed to, right?

It's okay to ask for help for such a thing, right?

Huntress-Wide: Voice/Action - Pizza the Hutt

[At some point while the Huntress is in orbit, an announcement comes across the speakers. It's a young voice with a German accent, and this blue guy is broadcasting from the ship's bridge.]

Guten tag. Good people of the S.S. Huntress, this is your captain - one of your captains, Kurt Wagner, speaking. Do we have any new crew in the house? If so, um... welcome! But for anyone who's hearing this message in general, I have a special mission, should you choose to accept it.

Today, I found out that there's a way to make a dream come true. A simple dream... a dream of getting pizza delivered to a spaceship! But there's a catch. They'll deliver, but the minimum order they ask for? It's pretty big. Now I don't mind having pizza to spare, but I do mind being even deeper in a financial hole. But then I remembered... Hey, there's a whole bunch of us here! If we all pitch in, we can nail this order without having to nail our wallets' coffins shut! So, come on! Speak up if you want to chip in... and name the topping or side order of your choice! Let's make this happen!

Addendum

[A few minutes later, Kurt sends out a secondary announcement to cover something that he's realized might be an issue:]

Okay, it's come to my attention that a lot of you might not know what pizza is! It's this really delicious stuff... I admit it's far from the healthiest food, but, um... it's like this flatbread that's covered in tomato sauce and melted cheese, and there's all kinds of toppings you can put on it, like meat and vegetables. They come mostly in big circular pies, and you take triangular slices from it. Pretty awesome, huh? And I left a menu out in the bridge so you can check out all the toppings and side orders they have. Um... hope that helps! Kurt out!
