In my country we have a lot of stories of famous historical figures - some whose tales have grown as they have become more legend than person.

Take, for example, the Tale of Musashino Benkei. ( TL;DR: Benkei was a loyal badass )

[He takes a deep breath after speaking for so long. It whistles a little in his lungs, but he manages not to cough.]

Do you have any such stories? Famous people or groups? I'd love to hear them. It would be a nice break from all the loud music.

[Caster's been missing for a while after the attack. She told her crew she had to go recover her mana, and then.... Well, she slept for a few weeks. Probably more Atroma-related than mana deficiency. But she's back, wandering the ship and actually corporeal, which is fairly unusual. She'll be looking for her crew, at least.

But once that's taken care of, she's going to make a voice post.]

To go to sleep and experience memories of your home world again, before waking up here again... I'd known it could happen, but it's quite frustrating to experience first-hand. But really, what timing! From space battles here, to conquering Rome there, and now returning here... Well, at least I'm away from that gaudy Empire for a while, but couldn't I have brought people with me for this vacation? How cruel, to bring a good wife and mother here without her family. Can I petition the Atroma to bring them here? Or better yet, curse the Atroma for it? A few hundred million volts should speed up the process, right?

Ahh, but I'm rambling. Hello, everyone, please ignore all of that! The cute and charming Tamamo has returned to grace the Fleet with her beauty and wisdom once more. It's unfortunate, but I seem to have missed a lot, so I would reeeeaaaaally appreciate it if someone could catch me up on what happened after we got attacked by those raiders. I hope someone wiped them all out?

[ There's a bit of movement as the feed comes on, and there's a flash of orange and a quiet 'meow' before Hermione actually gets the camera to focus on her - and she's smiling, a little shy but still there. She might have been used to making broadcasts in the Drabwurld, but things feel a little bit different here on the fleet - and a lot more public. ]

Hi. So, my name is Hermione Granger, for anyone that doesn't know, and I was hoping to start a sort of... Greenhouse, for all of us to use, for herbs and plants for the labs. I just wanted to see if anyone had anything that they wanted to grow there?

[ She stands up, moving to one side before she turns the feed, pointing it down at her desk where there's an odd assortment of seeds organised into little pots, all with neat labels and ordered into fewest to most, for those that care. There's a garden there already, but having one entirely dedicated to herbology might be useful. ]

I have a handful already, and I think I can handle setting things up with a bit of transfiguration, but if anyone had some ideas or wanted to help I'd be more than happy to listen. It won't be on the Vanquish, of course, but somewhere on the Iskaulit for anyone to use... Eventually. I'm not entirely sure how long this sort of thing might take to set up, honestly. I'm hoping to build a little potions room, too, if anyone's magical like me.

[ ... At least she has dirt, literally, from the planet? ]

[It was Clay's second birthday celebrated here. Last year, it felt weird, since there was a time jump from what he remembered in December to suddenly April, then July happening so soon after that. Now, now that he's more used to it, it's... more normal.

He doesn't want to announce anything; not because he doesn't want people to know, but well, there are party ponies here, and that had been startling to say the least the last time it happened. But there is a sponsor drop, and Clay figures he ought to address the network as he sees to what's inside it.

When he shows up on camera, he's got a big grin while he leans on a decently sized box.]

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I got a sponsor drop. What was it last time – visors? It feels like it's been light-years!

[Yes. It was visors. There's still a crate of visors in the cargo room.]

... By the way, if anyone wants a visor, feel free to message me. [He says with a tip of his own. But anyway:] But hey, look what I got now! [He leans back to gesture to the box he was leaning on.] And since it has been a while, I figured it'd be cool to have my own sort of unboxing!

[And with that, he starts! Once he's got the box cracked open, he gives the camera a grin, then opens it fully. He looks... a bit confused, and he takes out the note to read it out loud.]

Dear spaceboy, happy bir -

[SHIT NO. NOT WHEN THERE ARE PARTY PONIES HERE. He clenches his mouth shut and winces, like he just screwed up, before he slowly continues to read.]

... to celebrate, we've given you... comm cases? Uh, we love you!

[He lowers the note, looking down at all the cases, before he looks up at the camera again with a smile that first looks sheepish, then goes right back to being jovial.]

There's waaay too many cases for one spaceman. [He holds up one in particular, shaped to fit the communication devices, and leans against the box again while waving it slightly for the camera.] Anyone want one? Or two?

[When the feed first turns on, it doesn't seem to have been done so intentionally. Nothing's moving on the screen, not much is happening. The lights are dimmed, and there's a pink-haired girl with fox ears and a big fluffy tail staring blankly at the windows

In fact, she's so still it almost seems hard to tell that it's a video and not a still image, until she finally says something, to herself since she's unaware of the camera.]

Once again, to be taken from their side before the end... I suppose this is punishment.

[But rather than expanding on that, she just flicks her tail idly, and it knocks the communicator down, ending the feed in a crash of static.]

[When the feed starts back up a couple hours later, there's a broad smile across her face, perky and peppy enough to make it seem like the previous broadcast never happened.]

Sent from the moon to debut among the stars, the lovely fox wife, Servant: Caster makes her appearance! ♥

... Or so I'd like to say, but honestly, this is the strangest summoning I've ever been through. I think I've gotten the basics, like that there's no Holy Grail War, or any Grail itself, for that matter. Honestly, I'm surprised, but I'm not unhappy to be summoned to a place like this! The SF trend isn't really my thing, though. I know that's what's popular these days, but really, the decoration could use some work, but it beats that fake school. And I'm not sure why someone like me would get summoned for a reality TV show...

But, anyway, all of that is beside the point. It seems like my contract is gone, so... Does anyone know what happens to a Servant without a Master here? I think this is something of an unprecedented situation.
