[If anyone is used to seeing Khadgar, awake or tired, he looks much more tired than usual. And appears to be in the middle of packing a few things up in a box in his room.]

Merlan O'Keefe is no longer part of the fleet. [He turns and neatly sets a necklace i the box, on top of a warm-looking cloak, the closes it up. His room is still a bit of a mess but it's all him now.]

If you're looking for anything, let me know. She mostly stayed in my room. And she didn't leave notes or anything that I found yet. Sorry.

I was just thinking about scars... I mean — umm! That sounds kind of weird, doesn't it. But I got a few, and I was thinking about how people who fight got a lot of them. How do you feel about yours...? The kinds you get when you fight. I have one here — [He pulls the fleet's custom jumpsuit to show a nasty scar on his shoulder.] from when I got shot! And this one — [He holds up one of his legs, floundering a little to keep it in the screen. His head isn't even in the shot anymore as he struggles to balance; the scar, unlike the rounder one before, is thin and longer.]

I got this one when I broke my leg fighting a godman! And this one...!

[He sits up, pointing to the little scar on his arm.]

This was when I was hitting cannibals with trees!

... Frightening. Child-cut hearts everywhere, balloons, confetti, more hearts, more confetti, all over the tables, the hallway, the doors of everyone in the crew; it is V-Day pandemonium. And judging from Takeshi's happy little hum as he sits at the table and cuts out more hearts, the person who had caused this chaos is hardly a mystery. Even Hoi Hoi the panda is sitting nearby, gnawing on a squeaky toy and wearing pink and red and white beads like he's two pawsteps away from Mardi Gras.

[Khadgar... does not have clothing for very warm planets or even moderate ones. He's usually covered by his robes and long sleeves. Sometimes his cloak as well. So he's definitely not dressed for what his message is about to involve.]

I'm going to visit Duotera, I think it was called, in a bit. If anyone cares to join me. I figure, I haven't bought much of anything since I joined the fleet, so I have plenty to spend. And I know I didn't get anyone anything for Winter Veil.

Happy Feast of Winter Veil. Ah, I know most of you don't know Azeroth's holidays but it coincides with a lot of some earth holidays, if I'm remembering right from last year.

[He's looking a little awkward about this, it makes him miss Belthazar a little. He still has the blood elfs gifts to him, and is wearing the cloak he'd made him. And now he's holding onto a very poorly wrapped... something. Poor wrapped and wrapped in some really awful paper.]

This wasn't marked. Except for me. And this? [He raises the tag to show the red lipstick print, and an ace of hearts. And then pulls the paper off. It's easy, all of it kind of haphazrdly taped together.

Once it's revealed, he freezes. For viewers, it's just an ornate staff. To Khadgar, it's much more.]

[Victor has found a good pace for the ice rink on the Iskaulit and he's there now. The space is abandoned and empty, but it should be big enough. It just needs some TLC to make it happen.]

I ... [And then he does something he doesn't normally do, and hesitates, a bit of the worry he's feeling shows through a downturn of his lips.]

I know everyone has to recover from recent ordeals in their own ways, and I would never want to limit or rush someone through that, but...

I know a thing that will help Yuri recover, and that's if we get the plans for the ice rink underway. I know many of you offered to help. Do you think it would be possible to make the timetable for that sooner than planned?

He does better when he has the ice to focus on. I want to do everything I can to help him feel better - and I can't do that without help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello. I am Commander Shepard of the SSV Normandy of the Alliance Navy. I understand this isn’t a...typical fleet of ships, but I would like to know if anyone in particular is in charge or if each ship is responsible for itself.

I would also like to know if anyone else from the Alliance or the Milky Way galaxy is in this fleet.

[Perhaps it was a bit of a wide net to cast, but they clearly weren’t in the Milky Way anymore, so it seemed a fair enough question. Plus, he didn’t think it would necessarily be a good idea to simply name off the people he was hoping to see or close his request off to just Alliance. Besides, if his friends or crew were here, they’d find him. He had no doubts.]

SS Vanquish
[It had been a few years since he'd been assigned to a new ship, but he was fairly certain confetti wasn't usually part of it. Outwardly, he seemed barely fazed by the 'celebration' of his arrival, his reaction limited to a gruff brush off of the stuff from his jacket and an absent-minded snatch of a pudding cup as he left the transporter room.

You didn't turn down free pudding, especially in space-life.

Karman moves through his new home with an ease and purpose that makes him seem as though he'd been there the whole time even as he explored and took stock of what he could see of the ship's specs. From cargo bay to mess hall to bridge, he explored every inch of the ship. If he came across someone, he was quick to offer a friendly smile and a greeting.] Commander Shepard. Pleasure to meet you, I just arrived.

[He finally ended at the engine room, eager to see what kind of drive this thing worked on. Only to be horrifically disappointed. Of course it was too much to ask for a ship that could at least resemble his. Nothing could match the Normandy except the Normandy herself, but there could have been a compromise between 'perfect' and 'I think dinosaurs might have used this kind of ship.']

Around the Iskaulit
[There were a lot of things people could claim Shepard had too much of. Foolishness, bravery, recklessness, compassion and ruthlessness, but also curiosity. If Karman Shepard set foot in a place, you could be certain he'd go and explore every inch he could get to.

That didn't stop with the Vanquish.

If there's a nook or cranny to be found on the 'community ship' that is the Iskaulit, then Shepard finds it. He pokes his head into every room, empty or otherwise and spends more time in the ones that have more to offer than what a quick glance around can give. He stays to have a drink in both the Space Bar and Malum, drops into The melting pot long enough to get a feel for the place, he also hangs around the gardens and especially the gym with it's obstacle course. He'd probably be coming back to that one quite a bit.

But every room from the Interfaith Center to the pool to the abandoned classrooms gets an inspection so Shepard can commit it all to memory.

At the end of the day, he finds himself back at one of the bars to take some notes and process it all, preferably with something somewhat strong.]

Scratches not yet healed on his face, one even covered with a bandage on his cheek, that sort of drawn look around his eyes after all the sleepless nights and the battles and general horridness. Even so, he gives as warm a smile as he can as he begins to speak. ]}

For those of you who might not know, I come from a world called Earth - or at least, one of the versions represented here. On my world, in the country I hail from, we celebrate something known as Thanksgiving roughly around this time of year if I've done my calculations correct. Some people call it Friendsgiving, but it's all the same really.

Essentially, it's a time to a give thanks for the good things in your life, your friends, and your family. In the spirit of that, I've arranged for a gathering at the Melting Pot - a thank you to Jarvis for that. Everyone who wishes to come is welcome.

I just thought we all could use a day, a place, to be together and to just enjoy each other. So I hope to see you there.

_{[ The restaurant is set up to allow as much mingling as possible when people arrive - places to sit, of course, but there's gentle music playing for those who might want to dance and just to give some atmosphere (but not loud enough to stop conversation at all). Food and drink is laid out - things to nibble on rather than the usual feasts associated with a Thanksgiving. Not particularly ideal, but it's what could be managed. Unless, of course, anyone decided to bring something else to add to the spread.

Not a fancy party, to be sure, but it's warm and inviting, which is what Kirk had hoped for. A place for them all to come together and enjoy each other and just be glad they were all there and if not quite completely whole, then, well, able to be there. ]}

[Tyrion is sitting in the Captain's chair of First Breath, something that should strike you all as strange. He also looks absolutely drained - to the point of making him look almost twice his age. He rubs his hands across his face, as if steeling himself, before he finally speaks.]

For those of you who ... who knew Captain Furiosa, and her friend Max, they ... they both perished back on the planet. According to the people I have spoken to, they died in the successful attempt to get the last ship up and running again. Gil and I - Gil and I ... did not realize they had not made it off-planet and ... and well.

Here we are.

[He looks at his hands for a moment, squeezing them into fists, before he looks at the camera again.]

One of my shipmates has made an excellent suggestion - talking about the threats that might face us from our own worlds - considering how familiar our travels seem to be. I suggest meeting up to find a way to continue our survival, and not make others lives ...loss of lives in vain.

[Sam sits, triumphant in their mission but also defeated in spirit. Because yeah, they got the ship off the planet, and there's a whole civilization of people who get out of there... but he also is already too aware there is at least one fatality on their end already. Looma's last broadcast had been expected, especially after she'd sent him a warning beacon as the meteor pressed down into the planet's atmosphere, speeding, ready to smash the thing to pieces without effort.

Looma at least faced her death as one would expect, for her people. He imagines they would be proud.

Still, he sounds deflated at the thought, as he speaks a more leveled and straightforward response:]

... We've lost Captain Looma, of the SS Bishop. Umm... for what it's worth, she did it on her terms. I'm sorry.

[He's carried out the task of divvying up the blood from the blood drive, in case anyone from any particular ship needs it; there've been some injuries from shrapnel and citizen unrest, he's pretty sure. That's about all he can do, now, other than check in on the gardens... make sure Fie's work is continued alongside her, because it's important to keep those plants alive and thriving.

He slumps a little in weariness, sighing at his desk where he sits on the SS Bloodsport.]

... Hey everyone, this is Sam.

I feel like we should get to this as soon as possible, so here I go: there's something coming, some force that's going to endanger this planet and the people on it. We've all been having the dreams -- dreams of pretty nasty things, too, I'm betting; I've kept track of some that I've seen on the network, and if I know this fleet by now, I know it's not just coincidence we're here.

[He shifts, glancing toward Katie's sleeping form; he's been a bit of a concerned guard dog, really, and it's hard not to be worried. He'd known... she had a problem with honesty, and now his fears are verified -- honesty might very well be a death sentence. That said, she was in good hands, and she's stable, healed.

... Still good to watch out for her, just in case. He clears his throat]

For anyone who's been trying to contact her, or has sent messages... Katie's going to be alright; she really strained herself there, but she's resting now, and I'll be keeping an eye out for her, to make sure she's okay. As for her network post... I put complete faith in her and her abilities, when she says that the planet is terrified -- and that danger's coming. Hell, the dreams we've had are all warnings, and it makes sense that a planet with an aura like this would have some sort of... mental link, with the people near it or on it.

I had a dream, too.

I knew it wasn't... just some dream, because I've had premonitions before. Dreams that come true. And there's something about them that you can't just shake, so I imagine you guys felt the same, that these weren't just your ordinary nightmares. In mine, I saw a calm planet, and I knew... I knew it wasn't what it looked like, that the calmness was a lie. I could hear it, this awful sound from the planet... and then I stood in a forest, suddenly, and I saw... beings, crouched and hidden. Hunting me.

And that was just what I got. Our combined dreams, they don't paint a good picture.

[He rubs a hand over his mouth, those little unhappy frown between his brows.]

I've been talking to the locals, trying to warn them. Some of them have been skeptical, but, um, I think with some work and a lot of voices, we can get them to consider that something very real and very deadly might be approaching this world... Please, if you can, talk to them. Warn them in any way you can. Even if this awful thing doesn't happen during our time here, it may very well happen when we leave.

They're people of superstition and have a strong spiritual compass, so our odds might be good.

[A pause.]

It seems like the Marsiva, the Atroma, it... keeps sending us to worlds that need some kind of help. This is just another notch in the belt, you know? The terraformers, the sickness on the water planet, and situations like this... I don't know what they're planning, or why they're sending us to these worlds. You'll never convince me that makes them noble, no matter what their intentions, and as much as I hate dancing to their tune, the safety of these civilians is something I can't turn a blind eye to right now.

Please let me know if you can help spread the word. I'm going to make an attachment where we can note what our dreams had in them, so we all are on the same page. You can find it below. If you hear anything from the locals, let me know and I can pass it along or add it to our notes, or if you'd like, I can add your dream to the list myself.

I doubt we can evacuate a whole planet -- I doubt that would even protect them from total harm, if this danger is closer than we'd like by now -- but we can at least give them time to prepare themselves for a possible invasion, wherever it comes from. A fighting chance.

Captains of the fleet... Make sure you have something planned for emergency action, too.

I like to hope not, but... we could be right in the middle of something ugly. Last thing we need is another raid.

And again -- if anyone has not gotten one yet, I can install a GPS feature on your network device, so that if you need to send your coordinates immediately, you can press a button and it'll be broadcast. Even if you're not sure where you are. It's not foolproof, but if you get into trouble, it's a really useful way to get aid to you quickly.

[If you need to find Sam, he is sitting at his desk aboard the Bloodsport, shifting through his notes on prior planets, quietly scribbling down whatever new information he receives; you may also find him later in the day at The Space Bar aboard the Iskaulit, stopping for a drink after a day down on the planet, trying to spread the word, too. If you happen to run into him on the planet, this is just about what he's doing -- trying to spread the warning, and even sharing dream descriptions from other fleet members, if they're offered to him.]

This is for Vash.

[ He tells everyone cheerfully and then backs away, gesturing behind him, to where a vuvuzela sits calmly on a table. Nothing special to see here. He walks away, from the communicator, picks up the vuvuzela, and then the shappy mop of pink on the table, that turns out to be a wig. He straps that to the vuvuzela, comes back and picks up the communicator, and starts to walk ]

As requested, we are conducting an experiment, to see if the wig stays on.

[ He stops by the airlock, where there is a bit of fumbling around, and then the vuvuzela, complete with wig, is shown drifting off into space. The communicator stays on it until it's vanished into the distance. And then Maglor turns around, and you can hear him sigh.

The same vuvuzela, complete with wig, is lying on the floor behind him ]

And now we know.

Does anyone feel a little...off? It's as though something or someone is calling out to us with powers. I can feel it through my veins like a magnet drawing me closer, aiming to catch me in it's net. A pulsing energy like I've never experienced before. Then, there's the melody like singing. We must be approaching something....a planet maybe? I must say this feeling is rather new to me, although I've felt effects like this before, this one is on a new level altogether. Perhaps, I am quite mad, but I do feel this. If anyone else can relate to me on this it would be appreciated, just so I can feel a little more comfortable.

[Ardyn doesn't know that his broadcast might take a little longer to reach fellow crew members, due to the static within the air. It's all to do with the arrival to the new planet...]

[Ardyn had decided to give it a go. Why not? It was just a fantasy after all, right? He had never really believed in gypsy witchcraft, so why should he now, just because he was on an alien planet? Smirking softly, he picked up a palm scanner and wondered if it would indeed tell his fortune.]

Does anyone believe in all of this? I find it hard to believe that any of this could actually work.

[He spotted other trinkets, cards, herbs and other items, which were supposed to help tell your fortune. A waste of money? Perhaps. Was anyone else falling for it?]

Cruise Ship:

[Now, this was more Ardyn's style. Sitting comfortably with a glass of red wine in his hand, the Chancellor stared out of the window at the rolling waves being swept up by the boat. Ah, it was almost like being at home. Galdin Quay came to mind and also Altissia. Such beauty. He sipped his wine and wondered who else would venture aboard the boat in search of some sanctuary away from the metal prison in space.]

Ah, this is the life. It's nice to actually smell the salty air once more. Too long have we been cooped up like animals in a cage aboard the ships.

[He got up to walk along the deck to take in more of the view. He might even have a hot bath soon to ease his aches. Oh, such luxury!]

Shopping:

[Well now, Ardyn might be holding a rainbow snake within his fingers, as he offered the trader a wry smile. He wasn't afraid of the reptiles, oh no. He loved them. Yet, he wasn't sure the Red Fish would be a suitable habitat for the snake, so he allowed the animal to slither back to his master. A shame.]

You know, he would have kept me company, yet I believe space may be too cold for this little fellow. Alas, I could have had a friend for life.

[Ardyn sighed and then moved to another stall, checking out the merchandise and wondering what, or if, he should spend his currency on.]

[ Ritsuka arrives on the SS Blameless in a confusing fanfare of confetti. Apparently he'd arrived once the Shuffle actually began, because he looks incredibly disoriented. It had been a very quick jump from the Marsiva to the Blameless, and he's trying to get his bearings.

He doesn't even care that he has confetti all over him, not when he's noticing his clothes are suddenly very dry, and none of the aches and pains he'd been feeling after his mother's freak-out are there.

His tail twitches apprehensively, ears swiveling at every sounds as he calls out: ] Hello...?

[ okay, so he's in space.

because why the hell not, at this point in his weird life?

but that means there's questions to be asked. how it's possible, where they're going, what the heck does a communications officer do-- ]

How are you supposed to tell adults from kids if they don't have their ears?

And around her neck hangs a lanyard with what looks like some kind of pass.]

I think it's incredible what this world has achieved in transportation. Quite apart from the flying transports, they have these high-speed trains. I've never seen anything like it before.

[She smiles brightly and holds up her pass.]

As it turns out, you can buy a special ticket as a visitor that lets you have unlimited travel while you're here. They give you little gifts as well, every ten journeys you take. [She doesn't say what these are, but trust me, she's already gotten a few.] So I thought it would be a good opportunity to see how long it takes to travel the entire planet this way! I've already crossed seven districts this week.

[She pulls out another device, which looks like a tablet, and starts tapping on it.]

If my calculations are correct, I should be able to do an entire loop of the planet in the next three days. [Glancing up at the communicator again, she nods her head definitively. This is absolutely her plan for the week.] If anyone would like to join me, I'd be glad for the company. I can let you know the next station I'll be at.

Otherwise, I'd like to hear what you've seen here that surprises you. I could mention so many more things - but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

It takes a bit for it to sink in, he has to think about it, but then he flicks on the communicator after dressing and directs it at the "surprise."

My god, it’s full of stars.

[He wandered around the ship in a bit of a daze. First came the larger ship, then the small celebration welcoming him to the second, and he is just as confused as he was when he first woke up. It’s been a long couple of days for him and he finds his way to the bridge of the ship. Stars. So many stars, He slumps in one of the many chairs nearest the window looking out onto space. There’s a cup of tea in his hand and his head turns between the feed he managed to open and the view.]

It’s a dream, isn’t it? It has to be. I remember what happened.

[He’s still dressed in his leathers, not quite trusting himself to wear the ship standards just yet. It’s so clinical. So real… He curls up more in the chair, lifting his mask a little out of the way to have a sip.]

This ship is called Bishop. Like the clergymen and the chess piece. If…anyone is out there, where is here?

[Still on the bridge of the ship, Mantis decides to make use of the music system to play something classical in the hopes of soothing some of his confusion. The tea doesn’t hurt either, and he sighs heavily as he tries to count the stars he can see. His malaise is such that someone could reasonably sneak up on him if they were so inclined. [ Eithan is very, very, very far from okay. First they take his best friend, then his other friends, then his crew and his boyfriend? Goddess...

Anyone who manages to find him near his room will get to see him moping, for very obvious reasons. He keeps picking up his guitar like he's gonna play something, anything, to take his mind off it, but he never manages to play anything for long. And with frustrated cursing, he'll just put the thing down and curl up on his bed instead - or pace through the hallways.

He stops by Belthazar's former room quite often. And he'll stare at the closed door, for longer than he really should, before he can bring himself to look away - usually with tears in his eyes all over again.

And for those who catch him in the cargo bay, he's currently got a bottle of rum, and he's sitting on the floor with his back against the ship wall, drinking straight from the bottle. There's a pack of cigarettes at his feet - for later. And he'll share, if anyone wants - booze or smokes. Or just company. ... Fuck, company would be great right now. .... Fuck. ]

I'm sure most of the crew are doing this, but probably not as a team effort? I was thinking though, we should make a couple groups and shop while we're in a decent system, stock up on food and anything else we might need. I'm sure there's always someone thinking they should have gotten this or that and if we're together, we might not miss much.

I know I'm going down to see what I can find for potions so if anyone wants to meet up, I'm easy to reach.

FLEETWIDE

I'll be visiting the planet soon, and probably often.

I know I promised Merlan that we'd find a nice set for tea so if anyone sees any nice ones, feel free to say something. Or let me know if you want to meet up, I know there are a lot of people I haven't had the chance to meet yet.

I'm also hoping to find potion ingredients. I'll probably be busy once I've found enough.
