[Allen's getting out of one of the shuttles as Aang is exploring the cargo bay, freshly back from visiting that distressed ship again. He seems to be wearing an assortment of armor pieces and oh yeah, he's very much armed with guns and blades. He yanks off the helmet covering his head and tosses it lightly on top of a cargo box at table height. He looks pensive for a moment, but when he notices that Aang's nearby- he'll quit that in exchange for a polite smile]

Oh, hello Aang. Are you looking for Katara and Sokka?

[He's used to Aang's visits. Sure, he never really stopped to have much of a conversation with him beyond a simple "hello", but between what he remembered in Paradisa and Aang's usual reason for visiting- it seems like a reasonable guess]

[Plus you know, it helps that Allen was a bum that forgot to check the transfers and ship rosters the past couple days]

[Aang gave some uncertain looks towards the armor and weaopns, but he managed to smile goofily at Allen himself and softly waved.]

Hi Allen! [But the way that he's asking - could Allen not know? Aang goes on teasingly.] Ohhhh, I guess you could say I'm looking for them... and the rest of my new crew!

[He blinks a few times before it sets in]

Oh. You decided to transfer over here?

[Aang laughs.]

That's right! We're crew now! Isn't that neat?!

Ah- [He smiles, a bit embarrassed] Yes, it is!

Welcome to the crew, Aang. What's your augment?

Thanks, Allen! I'm a personnel. I haven't practiced it a lot yet, but if you got any problems, I'd be glad to hear all about them!

[Surely you won't feel any guilt telling any of your problems to a 13 year old monk right?]

Eh? You mean that's what they do? Listen to people's problems...?

[SOUNDS SUSPICIOUSLY LIKE THERAPY.......]

I think so! I'm trying to be like a counselor, and it sounds like what they do is solve people's problems!

[Aw Aang, you're so sweet. He'll offer him a smile]

So, uh, anything I should know about life on this ship?

[He thinks for a moment, as he starts to undo his armor since it's kinda uncomfortable to be in]

Well, you already know more about Sokka and Katara than I do. Kairi cooks, so tell her if you have any food preferences. Though if you eat a lot she might make you do the dishes. Hawke is security, he's got a rather odd sense of humour but you get used to it. He takes care of the two cats a previous crewmate left behind, and there's a man named Anders who comes visit him a lot...? They spend a lot of time in Hawke's quarters when he's here.

[Though you're twelve, so keeping that one vague.]

Dr. Crusher and I work in the medical clinic. Dr. Crusher is very kind, motherly. Has a lot of great stories too- this isn't the first time she's served on a starship. And then there's Timcanpy, my golem- please try not to feed him too much.

[Aang listens carefully and nods along.]

Ooh, cats!

[And then he has just one question to add.]

What's a golem?

[He turns towards the direction of the door to the cargo bay before calling out] Timcanpy! I'm back!

[There's a long period of nothing. But then, a weird ball with wings comes flying into the room. Allen reaches out his hand, allowing Tim to land on it like he's some sort of bird] Hello Tim. Miss me? [He grins a little at Aang.] This is a golem.

[Aang follows along, his eyes widening as he sees the odd flying thing. And he waves.]

Hello, Tim! I'm Aang, and you're a golem. It's nice to meet you!

[Oddly up close, Tim looks like he's made of metal. Huh. But he seems (..?) to look over at Aang when he addresses him, and gives him a wave back with his wings]

Ah, I think that means it's nice to meet you too, Aang.

He can't talk, but he's a good listener.

[Aang laughs, very impressed by the wing-wave.]

Well listening's good, too! It's nice to have one more friend to talk to on this ship!

[He laughs a little] It is.

Don't worry though. I'm sure he won't be competition for you. [You know, of getting people to talk to you about problems]
