Who: Orion and YOU
Broadcast: Voice
Action: Iskaulit
When: 9/25
[there's a shift and some crackling, as he's adjusting his position. it sounds like he's moving some things around.]
... Two questions.
One, who would be the best person to go to about setting up a larger infirmary on the Iskaulit? After what happened, I think it might be better to have some larger area set up. Especially if something ends up happening and we need to quarantine some kind of ailment.
... And two. [and then he pauses, because he doesn't know how to ask the second one. it's not like it's the first time someone's left, but..]
Does anyone know what happens to the people who leave? A theory, a guess... Anything? Going home is supposed to be the prize for winning at the end of the show, isn't it?
[ADDED LATER:]
... Just an added note, if anyone has any skill in blacksmithing, I could use your help.

It's like Dr. Keller said. It's not like we don't want one, but we lack proper stable funding to upkeep an additional clinic and we haven't come up with a way around that yet.

But unfortunately, even getting basic donations to stock the clinics we have now has proven to be a challenge. I've been offering to pay people to donate blood or items to the clinics for the past 6 months, and I've gotten...a stereo, and enough blood to save one human. Perhaps an elf too, but only they have very minimal blood loss. That's it. I can't even say I have a compiled list of healers and medics to contact or what skills we have available because either they change too often thanks to Atroma, or they simply don't respond to messages asking to hear from them.
[He pauses and rubs his forehead]
So...I'm sorry, I'm not holding my breath about there being people who would dedicate themselves to funding a clinic, even if it would be helpful.

You're... Allen. Right?
no subject
Ah- yes. I'm Allen Walker of the Blue Fish. [A beat] ...Commander, right?

[he's watching from his side of the feed, kind of grateful he's still on voice.
[has clay told you about me]

[Though there's a bit of curiosity in his expression, but he chooses not to voice anything. He's changed his name once in the past, he gets it. Commander wasn't a name anyway]
Ah- sorry. Orion then! [He'll smile kindly, even if he can't see Orion's face.]
That's a nice name. I'll remember that.

I take it you're good friends then.

He told me you patched him up after that stupid fight he got himself into. Thanks.
no subject
Ah...it was nothing. Just doing my job. He got lucky and only had bruises, really.

[It's supposed to be a nice sentiment, he knows that. But after he's had two significant others who could fight get murdered? It more just makes him cringe on the inside.]
...Honestly I'd rather he just avoided getting into more fights, myself.
no subject
... But from what I hear, he didn't exactly start this fight.

[Nnngh. There's a pause and he takes a breath. He know it wasn't the most logical response. He might as well explain his weird reaction that even he knows doesn't make a lot of sense considering his own profession]
...I've just had to bury a lot of people. Many were good fighters too.

That's why I want to make sure I've done everything for him that I can. I told him we were going to switch up our training to focus on self-defense. I can't control what happens, but I can give him a shot, and be there if he needs backup.
no subject
...Thanks. I mean, I know I have nothing to do with this- [Clay's a grown man, they weren't even in a relationship really, he barely knew Orion] but- it's a relief to hear. Ah- I mean, as the guy who has to patch people up.
[THATS ALL IT IS YEAH!!]
You're a good friend to him.

[he knows about the date]
He's a good one to me. I just want to return the favor.
no subject
By teaching self defense and looking after him? You must really like learning about space then.
no subject
... Side note. Are there any limitations to that blood donation thing?
no subject
- Oh! Ah, you have to be in good health, weigh 50 kilograms and be at least 16 years old.
Also, no vampires please.

That should be fine. I run tests on the blood to make sure it's safe to transfuse anyway, and we could always use more blood of any variation.
no subject
Good. I regenerate pretty fast, so... you should have no problem getting all you want from me.
no subject
[Wow how many times has he heard people give that line] The first time we'll do the regular one pint, if that's alright. If it does turn out your blood regenerates at a faster rate, we can talk about taking more later.
