[ After this roller coaster conversation Sasuke has a bone to pick. Or at least a ship to inspect for various damages and signs of a fight, halting at the airlock door.

But as soon as he tries to open it he's met with a strange beep and a flashing red light on a newly installed lock, staring at it blankly.

... pushing his finger against the light accomplishes nothing, nor does punching in a code at random. So naturally the next step is to free a small blade, charge it with electricity, and literally start trying to cut right through the door itself because his patience is equivalent to the width of a neutrino. A lack of success in that leads to him delivering one solid punch to that door, rattling the frame and walls but otherwise accomplishing a hell of a lot of nothing.

Right. Maybe if he just stares down at it in muted frustration, then. Feel free to walk in on or overhear any phase of this process. ]

[ Welp. Since Allen apparently needs some healing, she's heading on over to help with that. Disembarking the shuttle means she sees Sasuke pretty quick, and she's wandering over to just kind of lift an eyebrow at what he's doing. ]

Um ... Sasuke?

[ His fist is already raised again when she speaks up, and he glances over his shoulder... before turning back and allowing the hit to connect anyway with another rattle of metal. Were this a normal door it would've likely flown off its hinges and been embedded somewhere deep inside the ship but that's not the point. ]

They've installed a new safety device. [ ... maybe he should directly attack that instead. ]

I know.

[ She eyes his fist, before looking back at him. ]

It's to keep Azula out. [ So damaging it is a bit counterproductive. ] You have to be let in by someone on the ship.

I see. [ ... ]

[ He starts checking to see how it's affixed to the door now, sparks of electricity dancing over his fingers when he grabs at the keypad. ]

[ ... ]

What, exactly, is so urgent inside that makes you feel like you need to cause a security breach?

[ Hey, look, at least she's trying to ask for the "why" instead of just telling him not to do it. ]

I'm not the person they're trying to keep out, so it shouldn't be an issue.

[ Right. Which is not really an answer to the question. ] I have a number of reasons.

There are plenty of reasons why they would keep the code a secret from everyone else.

[ She lifts an eyebrow. ]

If it's about Zuko, it's already over with. Allen called me over to heal him.

[ Oh, so Ino hears about the fights before he does? He could ask 'why would it be about Zuko' but he doesn't want to open the door to those answers. ]

I'm not a dangerous presence here. Protecting themselves against me is pointless. [ ANOTHER DOOR-RATTLING PUNCH ]

[ She sighs. ]

Well, they don't trust the door to be able to distinguish between "dangerous" and "non-dangerous", so you're going to have to be patient and wait until Allen comes to let me in.

[ ...

... ]

I don't want to see a guy as annoying as that right now.

[ She turns a little to face him better, hand on her hip and a smile on her face. ]

Well, if going in is as urgent as it seems to be, then it seems like making that sacrifice and taking the first available chance to go inside is what you'll have to do. Right?

[ ugggggh review your options, Sasuke ]

[ That did not help. ]

[ STARTS TRYING TO CHARGE CHIDORI, please someone stop this ]

[ Oh, for the love of Naruto -- ]

-- Sasuke! You can't solve everything by hitting it!

[ She is seriously cursing Zuko's existence in this moment. ]

[Allen meanwhile has headed over to open the door for Ino, thank goodness she was here. When he opens it up, the first person he sees is Sasuke]

Sasuke-?

[SCRATCH THAT, ITS A SASUKE CHARGING A CHAKRA BALL OF DEATH RIGHT AT ALLEN. EXCUSE ALLEN AS HE YELPS AND JUMPS BACK, ACTIVATING HIS INNOCENCE TO MAKE A SHIELD]

What the hell are you doing?!

[ He'd just had a great conversation with Ino earlier about avoiding harming innocent people and now look.

Instantly he allows that attack to fizzle, though not quite as quickly as he's activated the sharingan in order to stare at Allen and start getting a read on what he's just done. Pure instinct, really, one that completely overrides any surprise at getting yelled at by either of them or seeing him in the first place. ]

... Allen. [ hello ]

[ ... Whew, she is glad that stopped and she didn't have to get in the middle of it. She glances to Sasuke, seeing that he's got his Sharingan activated ... and then back to Allen. Ugh. ]

... Being very offended by the security code, apparently.

[He gives Sasuke a very wary look, especially with that weird eye movement. But when Ino speaks up, he notices her and relaxes- deactivating his Innocence.]

You mean he was trying to break through?

[An annoyed sound]

Gee, I wonder why we need locks on our door!

To keep out actual threats. I'm not Azula, and I'm not someone that's come here to harm anyone.

[ Honestly if anyone's hurt anyone on this ship today then it's Allen, but Sasuke understands that level of fighting and wisely doesn't say that out loud. ] It's irrelevant now that you've opened it anyway.

[ That sharingan isn't going anywhere, not when he hasn't had the chance to size Allen up yet. ]

[ Ino just shakes her head and sighs, walking past Sasuke to go inside.

She is also making a mental note to figure out how the fuck Zuko charmed Sasuke so quickly. ]
