[Sokka, like a Pavlovian dog, is always in or around the kitchen close to meal times. You know, to be there for the exact second the food is placed on the table, and also for all spook-licking duties. He's glad Jilly is happier, but has stepped in to take his normal place at the table ready for food to find a burning pan. ]

FOOD! BURNING FOOD! FOOD IS BURNING!!!!

SOMEWHERE DOWN THE HALL

[Allen wasn't in the kitchen. He was busy getting...well, something done. But Sokka's panic still triggers shouts from down the hall]

WHAT?! OH NO, THE FOODS BURNING!? SOMEONE PUT IT OUT!!!

[she'd only stepped out for a minute...or, at least, that was all it was supposed to be...but the shouts definitely catch her attention, startling her away from the book she'd gotten sucked into when she'd gone to write down an idea. Tucking the pencil behind an ear, she makes a beeline for the stove, half-expecting to find the place burning down from the amount of panic in the guys' voices.

It's a bit of a relief when she darts in, just behind Sokka, and discovers that it's only a bit scorched where the food had begun to stick to the pan.

Okay...and it's a bit smokey...but it really could have been worse.]

Sokka seems to be just finishing up hyperventilating when she rescues the meal. He peers over her shoulder nervously. ]
