Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: SS Blue FIsh
When: Today
[For those who've been here awhile, a familiar scene comes onto the feed. Allen's standing behind a table in the Blue Fish clinic. This time, there's some fading bruising and a healing gash on his face. His expression still holds a polite smile, but it seems more subdue than usual. Timcanpy is still behind him on a shelf, also seeming subdued.]
Hello everyone. If you don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, one of the medics aboard the Blue Fish. Nice to see you all again.
Just a couple announcements today. We'll be holding our blood drive next weekend. The blood donated is kept for medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion. In other words, we use scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you donate, we'll gladly pay you.
If you're interested and are over the age of 16, please fill out the form attached to this video. [And what do you know, it's there] If you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. Vampires interested in volunteering will need to be able to have restraint around blood and will not be allowed to sample the blood. Also, the blood drive will be back on the SS Blue Fish again. Thank you for everyone's flexibility.
And as always, there will be cookies to anyone who volunteers or donates.
Also, I'm looking for volunteers to help with gathering supplies and assembling first aid kits. If we can make enough of them, these kits will be stored in numerous spots on the Iskaulit, fleet ships and shuttles, to be used in case of an emergency. Please let me know if you'd like to help with that.
[There's a pause. It almost looks like he wants to say something else...but then, he decides against it]
That's all I have for today. Thank you, and have a good day.
[And with that, the feed ends.]
[OOC: As usual, the blood drive itself will be handwaved! Also there is a new form in the blood drive sign-up post meant to clarify age requirements. If you already signed your character up to donate it, you don't need to sign up again!]

[Is he curious as to why? Sure. But he knows better not to pry]
Do you have any medical training?

I'd be happy to see what I can do about getting some first aid supplies. And if people really need payment or something for the blood donations I'm happy to help with that bill as well.
[Said as he's currently
finallyfilling out his own donation form.]Video
Really? Thank you! I got some funds saved up for the blood drive, but I wouldn't say no to a donation. [It adds up after awhile] Or even just more supplies for the kits I'd be grateful.

Because if you're not big enough, we could take too much of your blood! And that'd be really bad!
[Yeah. Still sucks at this]

I'm sure it was only a matter of time until someone decided to beat the crap out of everyone for no reason.

Yes, well...better to learn and be prepared for the next time Atroma decides to stir things up.

Ah, thank you for the generous offer! But our policy only allows us to take about a pint, so I promise we won't need to drain you dry.

[Jennifer looks distinctly uncomfortable. She'd thought about doing something like this sooner, but had never gotten around to it, and now... But she shakes her head, musters up a smile.]
Are you doing okay?

[It's bruises. They'll heal. That's how he feels]
But thank you. I'd imagine you'd be better at teaching first aid than I would. I'm not really the teaching sort.

[ He would volunteer blood, but... well, he's not sure what it could do to people, so he can't risk it. Not without talking to Beverly, and he was sure she had enough problems right now outside of checking his blood and giving him a check up. ]

I'm alright. It's just bruises, I've had much worse.

[ he'd normally want to help with this - but after his girlfriend was injured in the recent conflict? he needs to help with this. ]

[He offers him a smile.]
And thank you. Mostly right now, we need help with gathering supplies for the kits. I have enough for a few kits in my clinic, but we'll need more.

Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sorry for what Sokka said. He doesn't doesn't always think.
