Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: SS Blue FIsh
When: Today

[For those who've been here awhile, a familiar scene comes onto the feed. Allen's standing behind a table in the Blue Fish clinic. This time, there's some fading bruising and a healing gash on his face. His expression still holds a polite smile, but it seems more subdue than usual. Timcanpy is still behind him on a shelf, also seeming subdued.]

Hello everyone. If you don't know me, I'm Allen Walker, one of the medics aboard the Blue Fish. Nice to see you all again.

Just a couple announcements today. We'll be holding our blood drive next weekend. The blood donated is kept for medical emergencies that require a blood transfusion. In other words, we use scientific methods to help someone whose lost a lot of blood. If you donate, we'll gladly pay you.

If you're interested and are over the age of 16, please fill out the form attached to this video. [And what do you know, it's there] If you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. Vampires interested in volunteering will need to be able to have restraint around blood and will not be allowed to sample the blood. Also, the blood drive will be back on the SS Blue Fish again. Thank you for everyone's flexibility.

And as always, there will be cookies to anyone who volunteers or donates.

Also, I'm looking for volunteers to help with gathering supplies and assembling first aid kits. If we can make enough of them, these kits will be stored in numerous spots on the Iskaulit, fleet ships and shuttles, to be used in case of an emergency. Please let me know if you'd like to help with that.

[There's a pause. It almost looks like he wants to say something else...but then, he decides against it]

That's all I have for today. Thank you, and have a good day.

[And with that, the feed ends.]

[OOC: As usual, the blood drive itself will be handwaved! Also there is a new form in the blood drive sign-up post meant to clarify age requirements. If you already signed your character up to donate it, you don't need to sign up again!]

Very much so, yes. We have no way of reproducing, and seraphim are never related by blood, so families are formed with no motivation besides companionship.

[Not that the concept itself is unique to seraphim - Rose described the Scattered Bones much the same way - but for most others it's a choice rather than a rule.]

That depends on the seraph in question.

[GRAB A CHAIR TIME FOR A BIOLOGY LESSON. ...Or is this more like mythology? ...Anyway.]

Some humans, when they die, are reborn as seraphim. I've heard those are pretty rare, though- like a reward for great deeds. For the most part we're born from the earth itself. Since we're associated with our given element, our bodies are formed from the mana of that element when the world has a need for us.

I have no idea. Gramps found Sorey and I when we were both babies. I would assume that's the case, though- a human-turned-seraph is reborn looking the same age as when they died, and a human baby can't exactly perform any saintly feats.

Up to a certain point. We stop growing when we hit the peak of our power, so I'm told, though a part of it comes down to personal preference as well. If we're comfortable appearing at a certain age, we can stay that way forever.

Well, there are some limitations. A seraph can't become something entirely different, and they can't stray too far from their natural form even if they want it. I've heard it said that to attempt that is to deny yourself, which in turn denies reality, and doing so leads one down a path to malevolence.

In other words, any attempt for a seraph to be anything more or less than themselves will just turn them into a monster.
