Just a catch-all for anyone that needs more space for aftermath -- everything's in disarray and nothing's gonna be fixed up overnight! This can take place as the fleet ships as people heal, make repairs, and try to keep each other's spirits up after a pretty gnarly raid. Put your augments and personal skillsets to good use to get us all working and moving forward. Some people included aftermaths on the original post and that's kosher, too!! Just a quick entry for farther-reaching threads if wanted, or things that didn't quite make your original thread starter.

NOTE: there's a new system soon as well, so don't forward date it too far until it's introduced. :)

[It's a still-small elf that comes to knock on his door. Even knowing that seraphim don't need to eat hasn't dissuaded him. He's carrying a metal tray piled high with homemade bread, a variation of space chicken and dumplings, and a little lava cake for dessert.

This is the kind of day where he expects people to want comfort food, so he has delivered.]

Zaveid? I brought you some food.

[A pause. He shuffles his feet outside the door.]

Are you hurt?

[ He's not used to people checking in on him and there's a moment where he startles at the voice outside his door. The wind had brushed around him, what little feeling there is for it, and he hesitates before he pushes himself up, moving forward to open the door with a quiet noise.

The small elf. He remembers him and his keen interest - and he's one of the few people on the Bishop that Zaveid doesn't go out of his way to ignore. A part of him softens, and he tilts his head with small smile. ]

[ Glancing down at himself, he huffs a noise. ]

Nah, I'm all good. Nothin' to worry about here.

[arcanepower]

[His distinctive ears flatten against his long hair, which seems longer these days. He's closer to Mikleo's height now... though still shorter than the water seraph by an inch. Even with his adolescence nearly over, some things don't change; the baby fat on his cheeks, the way his eyes dart downward-- those are the same.]

I'm glad.

[He offers up the tray.]

I know seraphim do not eat, but I thought it might ease your heart a little. That is the role of hearty food, after all.

[ There's a soft noise as Zaveid goes back in to make himself comfortable, tilting his head up to look over at the other man. He's grown a little, true enough, and there's no denying the change, but Zaveid can't comment on it - humans change quickly enough under his gaze anyway. ]

Thanks for checkin' in on me.

[ Reaching out, he takes the tray before he softens, a small smile on his lips. ]

Just 'cause we don't eat doesn't mean we don't like it. Thanks a lot, Belthazar.

[Zaveid is surprisingly gentle, and Belthazar still isn't used to positive attention. He blushes and looks down again.]

Y-y-you're welcome.

[Oh my god, that's embarrassing. Try to salvage the situation. Try to--]

[ He has no reason to be mean to the other guy, and the blush just makes him huff something like a laugh. ]

It's good of you to check up on me.

[ He just leans forward, considering for a moment. ]

... It's been a long time since I thought about it, really.

[This is more familiar territory, so he jumps into it wholeheartedly despite his exhaustion.]

Maybe we can narrow it down. Sweet things? Savory? Salty? Complete and utter junk?

[ What is it with people really, really wanting to help him out? ]

Sure, I guess sweet stuff is alright... Somethin' light, I guess.

[Helping out makes him feel useful.]

I can work with that. Any kind of fruit you like? Strawberries are fairly inoffensive, but I could go with a melon if you'd like something lighter.

[ Seems that way for a lot of people. ]

Hm. What's your favourite?

[His eyes widen for a second. He's not expecting the question. His ears flatten against his dark hair as he glances downward for a second.]

Um, I have a fondness for blackberry, I suppose...

Then how about we go ahead and try something with blackberry, huh?

[Before he knows it, he's beaming-- really beaming-- and it makes his cheeks hurt.] Blackberry it is!

[ Zaveid just... Stares. That's one hell of a reaction. ]
