If you're lonely I'm happy to accompany milady! [A man walks forward from the trees. dressed up for the fun of it. He also has a bow slung over his shoulder with a couple arrows sticking out of his belt. He didn't have a quiver yet, but he had 3-4 arrows he had been shooting and collecting again.]

[ You say the fun of it, but O'danya sees nothing wrong with the garb. She smiles at the strange and dips her head in greeting. There's an eye cast to his bow, some obvious jealous in the gaze. ]

Certainly. Well met. Perhaps you've a better idea of which I hunt?

[Hey! Vash had to do a lot of work to save up for this bow!] Ah... hunt? Can't we just like... ah, enjoy the forest without hunting? [Someone doesn't like any killing.]

[ That gets a bit of a surprise from O'danya because even the Gridanians, harmonious with nature in a way not seen outside the Black Shroud, are not against hunting as long as it isn't to wasteful ends. ]

Then your attire is for... vanity's sake?

Vanity? Oh! I guess you could say that! It just didn't feel right just letting this collar thing do all the work. [He points to his own modulator around his neck as he says it.] Am I dressed as a hunter? I was just going for-- [A pause as he thinks his answer over.] Well, I'm not really sure what I was going for. These looked comfortable and I could afford them so I went with these.

That is... not quite what I meant. Your garb is well-suited, but your choice of self-protection is...

[ She nods to the bow on his back. Why would you go through the effort of purchasing one if not to use it? ]

Oh? This? [He takes the bow off his back and holds it out.] I just thought it looked cool and I tried it earlier with a trainer. Turns out I'm not too bad at using it! So I thought I'd buy it as I haven't really bought much on the other planets.

[paeon]

[ Her ears dip back just a bit in the confusion where her head tilts. ]

And yet your talent would be used simply on target practice?

Is there something wrong with that? After all, the sight of blood makes me faint. Even when it's as small as a paper cut.

[paeon]

[ That's, um... pretty severe, sir! O'danya startles momentarily. ]

Truly? Then I would urge caution in bringing a weapon with you for a casual stroll. Many would see an armed man and think nothing of opening fire on one passing through.

[ It isn't a deterrent for all that she's experienced. ]

What really!? Just for having this? [He actually looks rather terrified at the idea.] That's not very nice at all! Why would someone do that? What if they were just practicing a hobby!? You shouldn't hurt someone just because of their looks!

Most would not practice their hobby out in the open, not outside of a sanctuary where they might be protected should they not be willing or able to protect themselves.

[ It's common sense to her. Bandits, monsters, voidsent. Nothing really cares whether you're armed or not but having weapons without intent to use them would only provoke further aggression. ]

Oh, really? I didn't realize you should only practice with it in certain places. There's so many things I have to learn about traveling through space.

Space has little to do with it. This advice comes from a well of common sense.

Oooooh, I guess it's not like that very much on my planet. [You get shot if you look armed or not. More so if you look unarmed.] I'll file that away to remember. Don't walk around with a weapon. Even just for sport.
