Eyuzi System Mingle
Who: Everyone!
Broadcast: If you like!
Action: The planet Lyuku, the Iskaulit, and anywhere else you want
When: Sept 1 to Sept 28
[After a rather short time adrift, the fleet is finally in range of another planet. Small, peaceful, and colorful, there is plenty to do and explore.
Maybe it's enough to forget that vague feeling of unease.
Or not.]

Besides, it wasn't only Gladio that wanted the time to stretch his legs and get away from city life, despite growing up there. It was Prompto and Noctis that whined about camping.
And speaking of, he stops when he sees a familiar face in a clearing he's just entered and frowns.]
Ah, Kaiden, I didn't mean to interrupt you.

Kaidan finishes tightening the ropes of his very small tent and glances up at the voice. He probably should have noticed he had company, but his thoughts have been somewhat occupied with the uneasiness that's stuck with him ever since he'd had that dream.]
Not much to interrupt. I'm just settling in. Doing a little exploring?
[Kaidan keeps to himself a lot on the ship, and that's nothing new. He'd been that way on the Normandy, even in the presence of those he came to call family. And on the First Breath, he would have been blind not to notice and Ignis and his friends were part of another such group. It was hard to get in the middle of that.
He does give the man a completely genuine smile, however, to assure him that while he might be off on his own, company isn't unwanted]

As for Kaiden not noticing Ignis, he shouldn't blame himself. He has a lot of experience moving softly and gracefully. Besides, he's spent enough time sneaking and skulking around unnoticed that it's just become a part of his routine.]
Something like that. It's been a while since we've had a planet with actual nature. [Ignis manages to keep attention focused on the surrounding forest while addressing Kaidan.] It reminds me of home, if I'm honest.

Yeah...you don't quite realize how much you miss fresh air until you're breathing it in again. [He takes a sip of the water, moves forward a few paces, then casually offers it to his crewmate]
What part of it reminds you of home? [He knows -thanks to Atroma- that they weren't from Earth, but his glimpse of it was limited to a corner of a city that did not look much different from what he knew himself.]

He notices the movement from the corner of his eye and then takes the canteen with a nod of thanks before taking a sip himself. Water, the best thing at a time like this.]
I would have to agree about the fresh air. There's nothing quite like it after spending hours in a dark, dank cave. [Or ruined tower or the top of a volcano...] But there are plenty of forests and glades in Lucis and my friends and I have explored them all, even camping in most of them.

[He smiled wryly] That's only half the goal here, but...yeah. [A brief gesture over his shoulder] You're welcome to stay, though. If...you want to.
[Just because he was out here alone didn't mean he really wanted to stay that way. He'd merely gotten used to working alone, largely in the stretch of time during Shepard's death, and the habit had stuck in a number of ways. But it wasn't in him to be unwelcoming]

[That's what happens when your journey gets commandeered by a psychopathic megalomaniac.]
I'm afraid that for myself that most of my time tends to be swallowed up by my "job". Any fun that I find has to be found in doing my duty. But don't worry about me. I merely came up here for the exercise. Too much time in the ships is still something those of us not space-ready must get used to, after all.
