So that was fun, huh?

[He actually did enjoy fighting and killing as many of the hostiles as he could. Having half of his crew stranded down below hadn't been that great though.]

They may be defeated, but if this universe has more enemies like that, we should be prepared. Been thinking of getting a sparring club together. My focus is on swords, obviously, but if you wanna do archery, guns, staves, whatever, I'm up for it. I can take and dish out a lot of punishment, so only people who aren't afraid of gettin' bruised up need apply.

She smiles slightly, lifting her chin slightly and turning her head to catch a kiss from some loser tall enough that only the lower half of his face makes it in the frame. The stubble on his chin and the shape of his mouth might be enough to identify him though.]

He'd feared things would come to pass like this, but as soon as he saw that his quarters had moved from his own small bunk to the larger captain's quarters, he had to accept his fate.

And so he sent out a shipwide broadcast.]

...So this is Doudanuki Masakuni and apparently I'm your new captain. [Can you hear the enthusiasm in his voice? It's about as lively as a dead fish] So I'm gonna need a first mate. I don't plan on disappearin' anytime soon, but havin' someone around to help would be... [Well] helpful. Especially 'cause some of you are new.

And in case you're wonderin', I'm not human, so if you got human stuff you need help with, I ain't the one to do it. [a beat] Sorry.

For people who knew them, Ezri Dax and Kai Gracen have both returned. Hopefully, they're safe and sorry for the late announcement, but... [Well, a planet was blowing up.

I should probably mention I'm awake again since that's what everyone's doing. Who knew so many of us were sleeping together? [Light laughter. Yep. Okay, more serious face now.]

So, I heard what happened, and I don't want to make light of that. I know what losing a planet is like and it's...not great. [Such understatement.] But I also wanted to provide some distraction. [It's what he's best at.] Some fun. Some potential healing? [For himself too. He's still processing what happened to Okita and the others.]

For anyone who is interested—either over the network or by coming into the Space Bar at the Iskaulit—let's play a game I picked up on earth called, I Never. [He may also be correcting what he thought was awkward grammar from someone saying "Never have I ever." Details.]

So, you take turns and say something like, "I never crash landed on Earth." And if you have then you take a drink. [And he does.] Which is usually alcohol, but apparently [apparently, he says] kids don't do that here, so water or whatever is fine too. The objective is to make the other person drink more than you, so you might just get them really hydrated instead of drunk.

It's a good way to get to know someone too, so everyone's welcome even all those people I don't know yet. I'll start.

I never was born on Earth. [He doesn't drink.]

[If you do meet up with him at the Space Bar you'll see he's actually bartending and drinking on the job! But he has superhuman tolerance so there's that. He may even be responsible and switch to club soda if he needs to. He'll offer you a drink even if you're not interested in the game.]

(OOC: Feel free to threadjack if you want in on this concept with someone else too or just to point and laugh. You might want to check with them, but it's cool with me. And if anything goes to a place you don't want it to go just let me know or give me a heads up if there is something to avoid up front. He won't be intentionally hardcore about it.)

[ another month; another mingle. but there are changes in the air! the starstruck has some fresh crew to boast of, as well as a spiffing new lounge. things have been difficult, lately -- the common area might make for a great place to decompress and socialize with your fellow starstruckers.

(Also warning for some serious death talk in a thread below.)

[Max doesn't ask for a lot in life. Food of some kind so he doesn't starve. Water so he doesn't have to drink questionable things when its not there. A lack of ultra violence or cannibals. You know. Typical things. And he's been pretty good about behaving himself, keeping out of the way, not having any issues to speak of.

And then shit like this happens.

He's fiddling around at the little desk in the cargo bay when something peculiar happens. His screwdriver sticks to his hand. And no, he's been very hygienic, thank you — more so than usual — so there's really just one reason this is happening. He realizes it about when the empty tea cup on the desk also moves to stick to his arm.

Glitch.

So it goes. His time on the Starstruck the next few days are terribly bleak for him. See: the multitude of things that have somehow find a strange pulling gravity around him. It's not metal, really, it's anything. He's a Katamari character, and things just sort of fly and stick and he has to pry them off with way too much force necessary. Or they just fall off. In the kitchen, a plate falls off him at last, but shatters on the ground.

At one point, he just stays in the chair he's at, because if he stands up... Well...

It's stuck to his ass.

Records, hair pins, food (ugh), anything people leave behind...

And yes, people. People also stick to him.

This is the literal worst day of his life. Obviously. All the trauma that came before this is nothing.]

don't keep anything sharp or explosive on the starstruck right now.

might need remedies for nagging captains soon.
