[The video opens on Hiro, who's looking over his shoulder at what... looks like it might have once been the Bishop. It really barely survived that battle. He looks a little exasperated, but not visibly injured--at least not what can be seen of him here.]

So, it looks like we've got our work cut out for us. [he glances back to the camera.] For everybody who doesn't know, my name is Hiro Hamada. I'm the engineer on the SS Bishop. I know there aren't enough engineers to go around for the repairs we all need, so I'm going to offer my services. I know my way around things like this. If you need help on your ship, let me know. If you can't do the repairs, but you can work to get parts, I'll take that in payment.

[he looks like he's about to sign off, but he pauses.]

Oh, right. If you're not an engineer in augment, but you can help, make sure you're pulling your weight. The faster we can get done repairing, the faster we can go back to our lives.

If you need transportation, for ships that didn't get so far or anything, I can teleport. Take you around. Make it go quicker.

[ Suddenly sounding defensive. He's mistaking the tone for incredulity and/or disbelief. ]

Yeah, I can. Or shimmer. It's called shimmering. Same thing.

Dude. That's awesome!

[there is no mistaking the excitement in this one]

[ STUNNED SILENCE... ]

Yeah, uh. It's pretty cool.

"Pretty cool", he says. Man, you are selling yourself short. I could really use your help over the next couple days. It's gonna be a lot of running around, for me and the other engineers.

Yeah. There's cooler stuff people can do with magic, but shimmering is pretty high up there. [ He actually is selling himself short, alas. Then again, he's been doing this since before he was born, so... ]

All you have to do is call my name, and I should be able to follow that back to you. And I might not be doing this entirely without some selfish reasoning of my own. Mind taking a look at my ship first?
