[OOC INFORMATION POST]
casinos / shopping / exploring | ota
[ O'danya knows this. Despite the games being different, using real money, and the atmosphere being even more lively than the Gold Saucer, she knows gambling. She knows card games even better. Triple Triad is definitely her jam. So most of the time, she can be found at the card tables, either learning one of the alien and new games to her, or trying her hand at what she's already picked up.
She wins some, she loses some, but she never seems to really have trouble keeping a streak going once she knows what's up. 'Lucky' and 'gifted' are practically her middle names, after all. ]
Ah, and I do believe this is the Royal Flush. Is this where I take more chips?
shopping;
Oh, this is... this is adorable.
[ When she's not being a badass at cards, O'danya can also be found around the expensive sites of glamorous shopping, dithering over cute and loud clothes alike. Some of it seems to clash with each other, but she definitely has an eye for quality. HQ only, plz. ]
exploring;
[ Essentially a wild-card to find her wherever you want. There's so much to see here!! ]
Casino!
[At any rate, as Adachi's strolling through the casino he happens upon O'danya's current table. Standing over her shoulder, he lets out an impressed sounding whistle when she reveals the Royal Flush.]

Most spectators would give further distance. May I help you?
no subject
[At this point, Adachi's seen enough aliens to not be phased by the cat chick in front of him. Yet, his manners were still clearly in need of a bit of work.]
That was just an impressive hand is all.
no subject
[ Don't be loud in someone's ears, Adachi, rude. ]
Oh, I'm well aware. These kind gentlemen and women have been teaching me much in the recent hours.
no subject
Oh yeah, you all seem to be great pals here.
[He stands behind O'danya, waiting to watch the next round of play.]
no subject
Yes, we seem to be getting along rather well. Care to join us for the next hand?
no subject
[Kind of a lie, but he wanted to sound like he knows what's he doing.]

[ She's looking at her new hand as the next game starts up, but doesn't seem at all bothered to have her conversation split. This is better than being on a linkshell during a card game, at least. She doesn't need a hand to her ear in this case. ]
Are you familiar with this game?
no subject
Actually, just Adachi is fine.
[Adachi's gaze is then diverted around the table, as he surveys the expressions of all the various players. The game was just as much about knowing your opponents as it was about lying and luck. His kind of game really.]
A little bit. I know the different hands and basic rules.

[ There's no reason for her to question it. Some, especially those in the military, choose to go by surname. It isn't the miqo'te way, but plenty of other races do it and she isn't insensitive. ]
Perhaps you might share them with me? My own grasp is rudimentary and we might realize we know something the other does not.

casinos?
This is that part of the process, yes. Have you played before?
no subject
[ She turns, looks over her shoulder, and smiles for the newcomer. ]
My luck simply appears to have hit its stride, and only aids in my learning!
no subject
So I see. I'd be careful how much luck you take, though. Sometimes these places aren't too friendly to the very lucky.
no subject
[ She doesn't really believe the establishment itself would condone messing with people who win, but it is definitely not past anyone who's playing to give her trouble for being too good. ]
no subject
[She doesn't look very sure, though. Sure of the opposite, maybe.]
no subject
Your point is well made. Perhaps now is the time to look for what other attractions this place has to offer.
no subject
[And might get you off the hook for him pointing you out to the casino security. Never hurts to be generous. She'll wait to see what this one's getting into next.]
no subject
There we are. Have you seen anything else of interest? These places are to large and twisted, it is hard to find where one part ends and another begins.
no subject
There's plenty to see, depending on what you like. Gambling of all kinds, food from at least three separate star systems judging by the advertisements, shopping--you've got plenty to choose from.
I'd just keep to the more well-lit areas of the station.
no subject
Ah, yes. The seedier elements lie in the darker corners, I should assume. Food sounds like the right course of action at the moment. Would you care to join me? Or mayhap shopping would be better. I shouldn't want to squander the chance of discovering what tastes are popular in a place like this.
no subject
Either sounds fine. The food here isn't bad, if a little foreign. The shopping's also pretty decent. They've got a fairly wide variety of styles covered.
I was just on my way to lunch, if you'd like to join me?
[Just doing the decent citizen thing, and helping a fellow Fleetmate avoid a run-in in a dark alley with a handful of goons.]
no subject
[ The way she grins, even that is a bit too formal for her. But it's one of those days and she's behaving for the sake of the Fleet and not being kicked out for reacting improperly to something. ]
Food is a personal interest of mine. I would be remiss in not sampling what there is available in such an odd place.
