I hail from Valdemar. As I have come to understand it, my world is what you might call "medieval", though we are a land of magic.

Knights yes, but no dragons. And no wizards, though I suppose the term is interchangeable with mage - which is what I am. We simply call it have a Gift.

And what can you do, exactly, with this "Gift"?

Ah, that would be the issue wouldn't it?

Well, I have quite a few, so many things. Mage Gift allows me to do magic, but I have Fetching, FarSight, MindSpeech, Healing, Bardic, and several others to varying degrees. Each is unique in what it can do and be used for.

Yes, I sing and I play... though I do not think anyone recognizes the things I sing or what a lute is anymore. I believe if I wish to play I shall have to learn to play the "guitar"?

Maybe you can find a lute in the casino. Other people's stuff has been showing up.

Ah, I did win something that was familiar... though I think a lute is a tad large to come out of the vending machines.

Well, if I ever come across one, I shall be sure to let you know and play for you. I can sing just fine without the instrument, though I do miss playing.

Maybe somewhere in the waystation, they're selling a guitar. I think you'd pick it up pretty quick.

Perhaps. I shall have to see how expensive one is though. I have not been here long, so my funds have mostly come from the casinos as of now.

If you wanted, I could help you out. I don't have a lot from the ratings, but I've made myself as useful as I can so far. I've saved some money up.

I'm sure I will. Besides, you'd be happier having an instrument, right?

I - yes, I think I would be. In the other world I was in, I could not play or even touch an instrument, and I could not sing. It has been three years since I have been able to do either of those things, and I admit I have been indulging quite a bit.

... Then we'll get you that guitar. I'd hate to see a talent like that go to waste any longer.

What kind of place bars you from being able to touch an instrument?

It was called Paradisa. It took my Bardic Gift has payment for being there, though I had not asked to be. It took something like that from everyone.
