[ Welcome to your regularly scheduled insanity, Elize! The ship is nice and rather upgraded, not to mention Shirley's valiant efforts to make it a bit more homey. With two demons, a fish-person prophet of the ocean, a former Templar and... Isabela, the crew is rather lively but somehow hasn't torn itself apart. Yet.

With all the things going on this month, a casino with great prizes and a magical forest, there's plenty of buzz and movement. But what is everyone up to during the downtime? ]

Well, then you're probably the luckiest one here. It means they aren't trying to make your life hell.

They'd have to threaten my home to do that. I've been through worse than this.

[Shirley brightens a little. She likes Elize.]

[ She's adorable and it's hard not to be affected, even as awkward as Chris is around kids. Or... people... ]

She's kind of young to be here, don't you think?

She is. I don't think I've seen anyone her age here before.

[Not so good. But unfortunately not out of line for Atroma, either.]

Has she been having problems?

Not that I know of... but I'm just a little worried. The kind of places we stop aren't exactly the greatest influences.

[ Read: they're at a casino station right now. ]

She seems to get along well with Cullen, though. I've only talked to her a few times so far, but I think she'll be be all right with him.

[Cullen's been nothing but good to Shirley, anyway. It's hard to imagine him being otherwise with Elize.]

And if not with him, then with the rest of us.

[ Cullen seems all right, but Chris is just wary in general. At least he knows Elize is on a ship where they can be trusted to all look out for each other. She's just so... small... ]

I just didn't think someone her age would be brought around, you know?

--quiet. I've known someone even younger than her who would be much more vocal about it all if she were here - not that either of them ought to be.

[Still, the image of Hattie, ten years old and raising hell for the Atroma, does bring a smile to her face for a second.]
