And yet you stamp your feet and shout like one. You demand your way is seen without offering rational explanation. These are the actions of a child.

[That...was a dangerous thing to say, and for a moment, the lyrium on Fenris' skin flickers into life. The bright blue glow shifts through the vine-like markings, a promise of a very gruesome death. He doesn't attack, though, through sheer force of will.]

I know exactly where I belong, and that is not on the chain of someone who believes he is better than me, who believes he can own me.

[Fenris notices, and takes a deep breath, calming himself, willing the lyrium into dormancy again. ]

No. I will go where I please.

[To make that point, he'll brush part towards Dorian's quarters. ]

You should not have those markings, and you are a fool for revelling in them. Do not presume that gives you the right to order me around.

[Fenris stops, his shoulders tensing. He hates that word, and it just makes him think of his sister. For the hate and disgust she had for him, for setting her free in a life he no longer remembers. He takes a long, deep breath, closing his eyes.

Nel is a fool, still clinging to a life that he knows is safe, but will slowly choke everything out of him all the same. The desire to lash out is strong, to try and shake some sense into him. He knows, though, that this comes with time. That accepting freedom is not the easiest of things. He knows these things, but it does little to ease his frustrations.

You keep saying that as if it makes me some filthy misbegotten thing. You are wrong, though, and one day, you will see than and realise what an idiot you have been. It is my hope you come to this realisation before you get yourself killed in your stupidity.

Now, if you'll excuse me, Dorian will be waiting for me.
