[lo and behold, we have video!

[commander is, for once, not in his gear. though he's in a simple t-shirt, he's holding the camera with his metal arm, making it hard to see it. you might be able to catch a glimpse of shine where his shoulder closest to the camera almost comes into view, but that's it.]

So I've talked to a few of you about doing some physical training and learning how to defend yourself. If you wanna come test it out, head on over to the Golden. I'll meet you in the cargo hold, and we can see what you're made of.

[he laughs, and clasps that hand for a shake that really solidifies how much of a Man this guy is.]

[ Wow, that sure is a firm handshake, there. Jason keeps his grip firm, but not so tight that it turns into a dick-waving competition. He has the feeling that if he tried to get into a "who has the strongest handshake" contest, he'd lose.

The comment gets the Commander a raised eyebrow, though. Jason's only a couple inches shorter than he is, after all, and while he may not have the upper body of a Dorito, he's getting to be pretty broad in the shoulders, despite the boyish face. And despite the fact that no one can decide how to draw him, apparently. ]

I'm not sure I want to know what you were imagining, if that's the case. Do I give off a hulking behemoth vibe? Someone really needs to tell me these things.

You give off the superhero vibe. They're usually a little more cut.

Though in my defense, most of my career was spent as the tiny sidekick. Be cute and deceptively harmless-looking, wear bright colors and distract the bad guys while my big scary partner takes them down. Sometimes there were flips.

[ All this is said with an air of solemnity that makes it hard to tell whether or not he's joking... which is exactly how he likes it. ]

Somehow, that's not hard for me to believe.

[raising an eyebrow and looking him up and down.]

[ This isn't the first time he's been given an appraising look, and while it would be so much more fun if he was being appraised for something other than combat readiness, he's actually keeping the flirtatious comments firmly under wraps. Not that the Commander isn't exceedingly easy on the eyes, but being helpful in this situation outweighs the potential amusement if the Commander's not the type to take it well.

As it is, what the Commander will be seeing... well, he's pretty solidly built for a guy his age (even if the way he carries himself suggests that's a recent development), and he's got an obscenely well-developed lower body, with the thighs of... well, of someone who spends a lot of time jumping from rooftop to rooftop, kicking people in the face, and doing backflips in combat. He could probably kill a man with those thighs. He probably has.

He raises an eyebrow right back. ]
