[Crowley doesn't even notice, or, if he does, he deigns not to pass comment on it. Probably the best way to deal with it, yes. ]

I'm always all right.

[He raises his brow a bit.]

You're always all right in the future too. [And it's just a light jab, more gentle prod than anything.]

[Allen will speak up from the doorway at this point, making his presence known.]

Unless the alcohol runs out, of course.

[Crowley watches, carefully, from the corner of his eye, the action obscured by his sunglasses. This could go very well or very terribly. He tries to remain casual, but there's a touch of tenseness edging into his tone. Play nice, guys. ]

That is already a given and I'll remind you I don't like having to think about it running out. It brings me up in hives.

[Adam chuckles a bit at Allen's words and grins before turning to look at him. Anything he would have said to agree with it is cut off though.

He takes a moment when he sees Allen in person. A lot of information filters into his head all at once, and even more than that the information he can't see that doesn't have anything to do with the augment hiding it from him.

He tilts his head to the side a bit and seems to look past Allen for a moment before he says]

It's nice to know some things haven't changed... [But he sounds like he isn't sure if he's talking about Crowley's affinity for alcohol or something else.]

[Allen is used to being stared at, albeit usually for different reasons like his hair or the scar on his face. Adam's staring makes him feel...a little uncomfortable though, what with the whole staring past him part of it, and the very vague words. What's with that?]

Um...Sorry, but is something wrong?

[Crowley heaves out a sigh, slouching a little into his chair. He knew this would happen. He just knew in.]

And here we go.

Oh, no. [Adam frowns a bit, realizing a little too late that he's probably only going to tick Allen off again. He shifts a bit uncomfortably.]

Well, that depends on how you feel about it, I guess. When I look at you, I can see that you're Chosen. I don't mean to invade your privacy, but it's written all over you.

[He looks mildly surprised by that, but not offended. Since really, he doesn't hide it- but it wasn't a well known fact either. At least, not in the fleet.]

You can tell that?

[He glances at Crowley, as if waiting for an explanation. IS THIS NORMAL?]

[Ughhhh he hates this. He sinks a little lower, before attempting a nonchlant shrug, not easy or well executed at this angle. ]

Like I told you, he's got a lot of power in him. There's very little he can't do.

[Adam is quiet for a moment. He glances at Crowley and then back to Allen.]

You know about me. [It's not a question, and it's not really accusatory or anything like that. More just a statement of fact.] Can you sense anything about me, now that we're in person?

[Was he...not supposed to know? Whoops.]

Ah...yes. Crowley mentioned it. [A few times. Very clearly.]

[Sorry Uncle, under the bus you go. But at that question, he considers before a lens flickers over his eye and he looks at Adam. He then turns it off.]

Only a little. [Barely a haze. Honestly, it's subtle enough that at a glance he might have mistaken it for some of the aura that comes from Crowley.] Why?

[The ground could swallow him up and that would be fine right now.

...Actually, nix that, down is a bad place to go. Maybe the walls? Yeah, the walls can swallow him up. Thanks, Allen, you're the best. He doesn't say anything, but he does hum a little nervously.]

[Adam is focused on Allen to see what happens when he uses that ability before he looks over at Crowley again. He starts to say something about what a relief it is to be 'only a little' evil before he notices how slinky Crowley is being.]

You don't have to worry that I'll be put out over you telling him. It's not as if it's right for us to hide that from someone hand picked by the Big G Himself. Otherwise, it reeks of being sneaky.

Being sneaky is playing the game.

[And he doesn't play the game. He wants as far from the game as possible. He looks back at Allen then, getting a little more serious.]

Did you have any questions about it, or did Crowley cover it all?

[Allen can't help it, he feels uncomfortable at the way Adam is staring at him. Like someone trying to assess a potential threat. Sure, he's gotten that stare down before from various demons and undead- but something about this was different. It almost felt..familiar, but he couldn't for the life of him place from where.]

[It certainly doesn't make him relax however. In fact, it makes him just want to cut through the crap and say what he's assuming is on Adam's mind.]

If I'd wanted to attack you, I would have done so already. [It's a half-bluff. Strong as he was, he knew his chances against an actual Anti-Christ bordered on non-existent] Crowley said you side with humanity, and I have no reason to not believe him.

[Crowley clears his throat, doing his best to avoid direct eye contact. ]

Yeah, well. Basic nature, being sneaky. Not that that was what telling him was about. Or even the hand picked thing. I told him because he's Allen.

[And he means the world to him, more, even. ]

[Adam nods and is quiet for a moment, thinking that over.]

I wasn't worried about you attacking me, Allen. I was worried you'd think that I'd attack you.

[Awww Crowley that's sweet and he almost smiles at that. But, at Adam's concern- he'll reply quite frankly]

Not really. The Easter Bunny's more intimidating than you.

[Granted, the Easter Bunny he met was a seven-foot violent Australian who was untraceable if you didn't believe. But. details.]

[He doesn't do 'sweet' Allen, you keep your almost smiles to yourself. ]

...That is a little true, yeah.

Less scary than the guy who sneaks into people's houses and hides eggs? I'll take it.

[He side-eyes Adam a little.]

Right. Well then that's settled, unless you have any questions...

[He clears his throat and address Crowley]

Anyway, I'm stopping by to tell you I don't suggest going on that ship. It's infested with large violent bugs.

[Crowley makes a loud 'uggggggggggh' sound.]

Why is it every time there is an abandoned spaceship, it ends horribly for us?

[That makes him raise an eyebrow.] This sort of thing has happened before?

Not here, in another place.

[Which I'm sure is comforting]

And it hasn't ended horribly yet, it's just giant killer bugs. [Again, comforting] Ino and I are planning to scope it out before anyone else less experience with these kind of situations tries.

Yeah, well, given what happened on the Event Horizon, I think I'll be staying right here and going exactly nowhere near the abandoned fucking spaceship.

[His usual idle grumpiness is gone. There's an edge to his voice now, a real, honest, fear bubbling under everything. ]

You'd be wise to do the same.
