Tenth ♠ Voice
Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Voice
Action: SS Blue Fish
When: Earlier Today.
[Encrypted to the Blue Fish Crew; Voice]
[Allen sounds rather...reluctant sounding, as if this isn't something he wants to do. Sokka you picked a damn fine time to go unconscious. You'll find him on the bridge- standing near the captain's chair but not actually sitting in it.]
This is Allen, your first mate speaking.
It seems Captain Sokka has fallen into a strange sleep. Medically, I can't find anything wrong with him, except that he won't wake. I admit I could be missing something, if you'd like to check Dr. Crusher. If not...then it's likely he's fallen under one of those odd sleep episodes that has occurred to other people in the fleet.
[When sure sucks that it had to happen when they were near a killer bug infested ship lemme tell ya]
If that's the case, then he'll be alright...though it could be awhile until he wakes. Until then, as first mate, I'll be acting in his place. I'll...try my best to keep things running as he would. [If he sounds mildly nervous at that idea, don't mind him. He clears his throat]
For now, I'm going to ask that no one goes on that stranded ship by themselves. It doesn't have to be someone from this crew, but there needs to be people in your party capable of fighting. Preferably, that means they know how to fight with non-supernatural weapons- it seems the bugs have a resistance to powers.
Also, please consider rationing supplies if you can. Judging by the state of the waystations, we might not have a chance to resupply for a bit. At the very least, try to save some meat for when our captain wakes up.
[Yeah. Sad attempt at a joke]
Ah...that'll be all. Thank you.
[He cuts the transmission and sighs to himself as he clutches onto the chair. Ugh.]
[Fleetwide; voice]
[With that out of the way, he sends out a much quicker message to the rest of the fleet since he knows Sokka has...friends?!]
If anyone's looking for Sokka, it seems he's fallen into a deep sleep. Nothing seems to be wrong beyond not waking up, so hopefully he'll wake soon.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

What do you mean a sudden sleep? Did anything happen to him?
voice
We're still looking into it, but sometimes this just seems to happen in the fleet. People fall asleep for a long time for no reason, and then they wake up later, perfectly fine.

Did you try poking him, or pinching his nose shut for a few seconds? Or dumping water on him?
[Voice]
Yes, I'm sure. I tried several methods.
[Voice]
...Oh. But are you super duper sure?
You know, Toph's earthbending can always wake up Sokka!
[Voice]
We're not throwing rocks at Sokka!

[She double checked anyway, but there's no way Ladon wouldn't know if Toby was still in the fleet.]
And after Suki and Usagi... well, I'm not counting on anything.
Voice
I'll keep that in mind, but I don't want to write him off just yet.
For now, we should focus on making sure we make it out of this system in one piece. If Sokka isn't awake by then or he disappears....we can all sit down and figure out what to do in the long term.
Voice
I'm not writing him off.

[Though the intense organization stuff Sokka did is a bit much]
Though...if you happen to know a name of a good engineer in case something goes wrong while he's gone...
video
[Sorry, Allen. Insult wasn't intended!]
Not that I know of, but I can ask. Axel probably has one on his ship, and Riku might, too.
video
[Seriously, he couldn't have done this during a peaceful system?]
Alright, thank you. I think we can handle basic repairs, but if we get attacked or anything like that...
video
He really did, didn't he?
I think... we'll be all right. After the last attack, a lot of engineers offered their help to other ships. If need be, I'm sure someone will help, if it comes to that.

[She's concerned, of course, but she knows how these sudden mini-comas go. And there are other important matters at hand.]
...I'll consider it.
