[Amid the confetti and welcome pudding, Pamchadra sits on the floor against a wall, curled up as much as she can be, hand touching the augment. It's terrifying because she can feel on her own body inside her host the augment as well. Was this Nirrti's doing? She hopes not, but she can't show her fear for long, so she takes a deep breath, stands up, and puts on the airs of someone completely in control of her situation.]

Atroma. Who and what are they, why was I brought here, and what is this...thing they put in me?

[There's a pause as she looks around and brushes off the confetti from her shoulders.]

And did they take this ship from a junkyard? This is unacceptable. It cannot be that difficult to make a proper ship for traveling space in.

[There's a frown at the word implant. Definitely not a word she likes.]

And everyone has one of these things inside of them? Do we all share the same knowledge or does it vary between people?

Yeah- we all arrived on the Marsiva with one. It seems to vary between people- I don't seem to have gotten any extra knowledge from it, but others have gotten skills they didn't have before.

[Pamchadra doesn't say anything at first, thinking on her words and shoveling through all of the information she has through many different means until she finds the new information.]

So that is why I now have medical knowledge I didn't have before? It's this augment giving me this information?

And, just for bonus creep factor, so far they've resisted any attempts to be removed or examined.

What happens? Is it an explosive device of some sort?

No. It is- difficult to explain. It is like a feeling of utter dread that comes over you.

[Oh. So business as usual for her at the moment. She gives a small bow, basically a tilt of her head downwards in thanks.]

I will keep that in mind for the future. Do you know what has happened to our weapons? It feels...strange to be unarmed in an unknown place.

They have been taken from us. They are...difficult to obtain again, but some planets have suitable replacements, if you are able to use them.

[Someone new again! As usual Yuya heads up to the entrance to check out the newcomer(s), and arrives at the tail end of Pamchadra's lament. Given his augment, he's a little hurt by that remark.]

The ship isn't that bad, is it?

[Wait, new person. Right.]

[Sorry Yuya, your new crewmate is from a race of arrogant aliens with advanced space travel.]

It definitely is. I haven't been on worse in my entire life and I've been on plenty of ships.

[And he's from...Earth, space status unknown and possibly dependent on continuity. Unfortunate, and the comment on having been on plenty of ships makes him unsure.]

I've only ever been on the First Breath, so I've never seen another kind. What's wrong with this one?

Everything. It's as if somebody just threw metal together and decided that it was good enough to be a ship.

[She sounds almost insulted to be here.]

[Great. Yuya's a little cowed by the attitude, and it shows in the way he looks up at her.]

You can't tell me anything specific? I'm an engineer, so I can try and fix it...

It's hard to go into specifics when you don't even know where to begin.

[She totally notices and she seems to stand up slightly straighter and look somewhat proud.]

[Yuya's gotten a little better about standing up to this sort of thing, but...yeah, still intimidated. He has to put in a fight not to visibly deflate, and even then the subdued tone to his voice betrays his doubt.]
