Who: Krista Kingsley
Broadcast: Open!
Action: Marsiva only.
When: Space time. Who knows.
[so the video turns on to show an... annoyed-looking teenage girl. long, black hair. lots of eyeshadow. she clears her throat, but that does absolutely nothing to stop her from talking in a quiet whisper the whole time. at least she seems to know how to talk to a camera.]
Okay, so. Uh. Hi.
I assume there's a bunch of people on the other end of this? Otherwise I'm going to look stupid talking to a screen, but... Whatever. I'm in space. I know guys back home that would kill for the chance to be kidnapped and held for entertainment on a creepy space station. I'm... Wait, hang on, let me see if I care.
[she looks elsewhere for a moment, lips pressing into a thin line, before...]
Nope. I don't care. Almost did, for a minute, and then I remembered how much this sucks.
[she gestures... vaguely.] Okay, so this is turning into a pretty bad introduction, but I guess I just wanted to say, uh, hello, I'm Krista, and I'd love to talk to someone... about... how we're all stuck here up in space? Unless there's something way better to talk about. I don't know. Whatever. I'm really bad at this.
[of course, anyone who is on the Marsiva is welcome to find her! she's just standing around one of the network panels, looking annoyed, maybe a little nervous. kind of fidgety.]

action because hello marsiva
( Speaking up from behind Krista and to the side, Ella holds up one hand in a still hey there sort of gesture.
She's dressed in a well worn and mended dress with a fairly simple feel to it, styled like something vaguely out of Europe from 1200 to 1700 dear lords why, hasn't even spoken to the network directly yet, mostly because she can't decide on how to address everyone there. That, and she keeps being distracted be a) space, b) mostly the one large circular room they're all in, c) showers, which while she understands them, doesn't make them any less wonderful since it means so much less carting of water around, and d) er... just about everything else. Trying to figure out how to make the odd food more palatable. It's... different. )
You said your name is Krista? I'm Ella.
the best action there ever was!
[she looks a little surprised when someone starts talking to her, and takes a second to notice the really old dress (is she sure she's not just stuck somewhere in the dreaming?)... but Ella looks mostly harmless and is the first girl she's seen in a while. so, she manages a smile and a little wave back! unfortunately, she still can't raise her voice above a whisper...]
Hi, Ella. It's, uh, nice to meet you? I think? I mean--it is, I'm just...
[oooh, boy. come on, Krista. get it together. an awkward laugh...]
This whole thing is really weird...

I understand what you mean. About it being really strange. I wouldn't have ever imagined anything like it before - I'm a little adrift in it all.
( She offers a small smile, this one hinting toward more amused. )
It's nice meeting you too. Circumstances aside, of course.

Where are you from? If you don't mind me asking. Your dress reminds me of some... people I've met before.
