[so the video turns on to show an... annoyed-looking teenage girl. long, black hair. lots of eyeshadow. she clears her throat, but that does absolutely nothing to stop her from talking in a quiet whisper the whole time. at least she seems to know how to talk to a camera.]

Okay, so. Uh. Hi.

I assume there's a bunch of people on the other end of this? Otherwise I'm going to look stupid talking to a screen, but... Whatever. I'm in space. I know guys back home that would kill for the chance to be kidnapped and held for entertainment on a creepy space station. I'm... Wait, hang on, let me see if I care.

[she looks elsewhere for a moment, lips pressing into a thin line, before...]

Nope. I don't care. Almost did, for a minute, and then I remembered how much this sucks.

[she gestures... vaguely.] Okay, so this is turning into a pretty bad introduction, but I guess I just wanted to say, uh, hello, I'm Krista, and I'd love to talk to someone... about... how we're all stuck here up in space? Unless there's something way better to talk about. I don't know. Whatever. I'm really bad at this.

[of course, anyone who is on the Marsiva is welcome to find her! she's just standing around one of the network panels, looking annoyed, maybe a little nervous. kind of fidgety.]

Oh, that's good. [see, she wounds way less terrible now! still quiet, but not mean.] Actually, does anything obviously horrible happen around here?

Obviously horrible like what...? I mean, we were all kidnapped to be here so...

I mean, like... have you guys been attacked by aliens...? Or, fell under the control of an ancient magical artifact that makes people go crazy? Or, I don't know, been in a western-style shootout with a bunch of space bandits or something?

Oh man, those would actually be kinda cool... But no. I don't even think our ships have guns. [ Probab...ly... ]

Really? Huh... [she... makes a face.] And no one's like, died, or anything? No murderers on the loose? Vampires? Zombies?

Uhh...well. When I first arrived they said the people who disappeared from some of the ships didn't exist. And something about a cannibal clause... B-but I'm sure everything's fine! No zombies or vampires.

[ladiesss]

Okay, that's at least kind of creepy. I'll take it.

[she nods.] I haven't dealt with cannibals before...

I'm pretty sure most of the world hasn't.... [ Hopefully. He's pretty sure cannibalism is not mainstream!! ]

[how menacing.] Okay, uh. Switching topics, is there anything cool around here? Aside from space. That doesn't count.

...The orange planet? Or well, we left that one behind already...

[that would have been WAY cooler than being stuck in this iPhone of a ship... and it might have had glamour on it, most importantly...]

Well...dusty? It was a desert! And there were orange people and skulls and parties... [ Which he didn't really get into because he's too young for all that. ]
