[ target cannot be resurrected. ]
Who: Belthazar and whoever
Broadcast: Yes, the first part.
Action: The bug ship, and the Bishop when he returns.
When: RIGHT NOW.
[Technically he shouldn't be on the ship, but he isn't going too far. By the door he's set up a little shrine of white candles. He kneels down and lights them with a simple gesture. Belthazar's sleeves still have some rips and tears in them from fighting the bugs, but at least they're clean.
A moment of rustling, and he leaves a small offering of white flowers symbolizing sympathy and grief. Thanks, Ino.]
Elor bindel felallan morin'aminor.
[He isn't sure what else to say.]
I am... sorry.
[SS Bishop;]
[Anyone seeking out the tiny elfling later will find him freshly-showered and seated in the kitchen. He's made something a little more traditional this time-- breaded chicken, dairy-free gravy, and mashed potatoes. There's plenty for the crew. In the meantime, he's eating and reading at the same time.
Looks to be some kind of trashy fantasy novel. A Melody of Frost and Flame? Belthazar, you can do better.]

bishop
Hey, Bel.
no subject
Good evening.
[He's smiling, but it's a small thing.]
no subject
I saw what you did. Your prayer. That was a good thing.
no subject
I... didn't know what else to do.
[His voice becomes very quiet.] They died like those who died of the plague. There is no cure, only cremation.
no subject
[To Adra, Bel's actions suggest an ability to look beyond himself--and his own race. SUCCESS.]
no subject
It would have been kinder not to have slaughtered them wholesale like pests in the garden.
no subject
Everyone reacted in the only way they knew how. It wasn't necessarily the right way, but ... it's hard to take a nuanced view when you feel you're under attack.
no subject
I... suppose you're right.
[He rests his forehead against Adra's shoulder.]
I hate this. I hate how it is supposed to be entertainment for someone. [Still got that cynical streak.] When we cease to be entertaining, will we be forced to lose our minds, too?
