When: Right after the latest Shuffle!

[that's right boys and girls it's another mingle. they navigated smoothly out of the initial danger (despite some people not helping), and they've gotten to hang out on the beach (or the storms, or with the sick Nunnilis) for about a week.
so... what are our intrepid travelers up to now? oh and also there's one of those glowing fish in a fishbowl on the kitchen table. it's green. you are welcome. don't kill it. you know who you are.]

OTA | Hell Yeah Fish
Nice.
She's humming lightly at it hoping to find out what will make it's glowing change.]

Pure delight. That's all there is.
LOOK AT THOSE SHADOWS, ROBIN, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.

The doctor is in | OTA
And he was quite tired. There were comparatively few doctors on the Fleet, and that combined with the fact that his crew had a tendency to injure themselves, kept him plenty busy.
So if you came to the infirmary for an injury or just to chat, there was a high chance you'd find Simon dozing in his chair.]

Too bad, she's clomping in and taking over his space. Jinx has totally decided she likes him. Or at least used to him and totally willing to force her company upon him.
On the other hand, she did bring him a piece of candy. It's clearly from the planet - some kind of gummy seaweed.]

but this time he peeks his head in, just because he's been so absent. it's a little bit of a surprise to find him asleep, but he figures it'd be awkward if he was awake anyway. it's a little drafty in the ship, if he's honest--so it takes him a few minutes, but he comes back with a cup of hot green tea and a blanket that he puts over the back of his chair. ]

Smiling, peering out the door to see if his mystery visitor was still there, Simon sipped at the tea.
Pretty good, for ship-issued.]

today isn't any different... except for the part where Simon is asleep in his chair as Robin walks in. he half debates pulling some practical joke on him... but decides he might as well just wake him up by knocking politely on the infirmary's door-frame instead.]

At least it's an excuse to sharpen her telekinesis skills by opening doors with the Force, so she tells herself. She might go to Dr. Crusher, but has a feeling she might end up with a lecture and really the cuts themselves are enough of a lesson, so she just picked the nearest not-Blue Fish ship.
She stops when she sees Simon snoozing in the chair and bites her lip, not wanting to disturb him if he's this tired. Maybe she can just borrow some kolto, or whatever the equivalent is? So she'll just kind of creep in and restrain the urge to go 'ow, ow, ow' with each step.]

action; (during a storm)
but the storm rolled in too soon, and though riku might be freely standing around enjoying the rain, he's bolting once he hears thunder with a panicked look on his face. once he's inside, probably sopping wet, you'll just find him sort of collapsing to breathe for a second.
and, uh. maybe muffled yelps. he's the first mate, he's not supposed to be scared. ]

When he barges in, Kairi is momentarily startled, but she's more surprised when she sees the panic on his face. Eyes wide, she watches as he collapses on the floor, and for a moment, she's unsure as to what to say. Was he... afraid of lightning? Since when?
And that, that right there, solidifies her decision. They need to have a talk, a long one.]

OPEN | Do you wanna build a flaming sword?
Hiccup is hard at work now that they aren't at risk of being vaporized in space. While there isn't a whole lot of engineering materials he can scrap, he's pretty well-off after the Iskaulit. Right now he's experimenting with a kind of metal blade he's made retractable, though a little more substantial, in case he has to actually fight with this sword.
The problem isn't the blade (obsidian edge, finely sharpened). The problem is that he can't find anything that will allow it to ignite in a way that he can recharge it when needed, canister style, like he did for Inferno. There's a variety of materials at his hands what with the labs and technology available to the entire Fleet.
To that end, he's spending today lighting things on fire.
Anyone passing by the engine room will smell the scent of burning oil and whatever else. Sometimes there's burned human hair. Peek into the door at the right time, and you might even witness a giant fireball.
Hiccup is standing at the other side of the disaster zone wearing a metal faceguard against the fire. He has a long lighter in one hand, and there's a metal mockup of the sword blade that's been doused in various chemicals and then set aflame.]
Whoops, uh, I'll mark that one down as a no. A big no. With three underlines.

He would hope that if it was something serious, the rest of the crew would have been more alarmed, but that thought wasn't enough to quite suppress his curiosity as time went on, and so finally he peeked into the engine room on his way back from a planetside trip...
... to find a large burst of flame just dying down.]

OPEN come meet the fresh meat
--that doesn't really mean that he knows where he's going. He's not lost, no- but he has no destination in mind, either. If only because he's so unfamiliar with this new, er, ship?
He just wanted to play some basketball?? He really hates his status as a minor celebrity sometimes. Cause now his ass is in space?? He didn't even know about this show!! Where's his contract?? His agent is the worst!!
...so here's Kise, wandering around the ship.]

...but then the guy passes back in the other direction. and Robin starts to think that maybe he's not just... visiting. he starts listening for footsteps, trying to track where this person is going... and, remembering what day it is, finally just pulls up the ship roster on the computer in front of him.
...oh.
okay.]

closed to robin.
His shirt is ruined, bloody, torn apart by Tek's fangs, the dragon's black blood clinging to the corner of his mouth. He doesn't really think, can't really, his mind a is a muddled mess of snarling and words and─
Robin, has to find Robin.
When he finally stops it's all to casual, complete disregarding his state, idly picking at his shirt in minor dismay. ]
Gonna need a new shirt.
hhhhhi michael.
he doesn't really think anything, but he's over there in a second. he grabs the other by the jaw, pushes down on his lower lip with a thumb to see the staining black still in his teeth. the whole thing is quick. he moves fast, marks it down, keeps going. he lets go to check his shoulder, pick at red-soaked fabric where the wound may or may not still be healing.
back to his face. his fingertips rest light, pulling just below his ears, at the top of his neck. gentle, gentle...]
