At least it's not the ocean?
Who: Phedre and you!
Broadcast: Yes! All of it.
Action: Marsiva! At any point :)
When: Soon. Now? Now. July 25
[She had woken, shivering and alone. Her first though had been of Skaldia, and her second had been of Joscelin. But this was not winter, only a chill to her marrow, and Joscelin was nowhere to be seen.
Alone, then. Alone and lost. A more familiar occurrence than she liked. The first thing to do was try and learn about where she was. Phedre made a swift and quiet exploration of her surroundings, taking the complete unfamiliarity of her circumstances into perspective.
When she realized her strange communication device is casting, Phedre allowed herself a deep breath followed by a slow exhale. This contraption (that she inexplicably knows how to use) took minimal investigation as she decided exactly what shes going to do with this information.
Phedre was accustomed to writing her correspondence, and generally addressed a particular individual. Attempting the same on a larger scale was more daunting than she would have expected.]
Good evening.
[She hesitates, uncertain of how to proceed or even if that was the correct greeting. Was it evening? How did one tell with no sun to designate the passing of time? Or was it too many suns?]
Please allow me to apologize for my intrusion, but due to the nature of my situation I found it to be the best option available to me. I wish to inquire into our current circumstances, primarily that of the apparent lack of assistance upon the… Marsiva?
[The lilt she places on the end of that question is meant both for the name of the ship and for the question itself. She had already explored the many crevasses she could insert herself into, but the lack of people... So very much of her knowledge was often gathered through humanity. Such blankness told her little, beyond that this place was completely outside of her realm of understanding.]
Anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated.

[So much is foreign here - but she is accustomed to being in strange places. Phedre's face is composed and she smiles with appreciation.]
How long have you need in this Fleet?
Video
[Commoner 4 lyfe]
I've been here about...ten months?
Video
I am Phedre. It is a pleasure to meet you, Allen.
[She says it sincerely - Phedre had been raised to make those she talked to feel like the whole of her world.]
May I ask you a few more questions?
Video
[You know, what with you being kidnapped and all. Sorry that happened to you. At least she seems nice?]
And of course. What can I help you with?
Video
DO you know of anyone who was here before you?
Video
I don't. I was among the first group who were brought aboard these ships.
Video
The first? There are no natives?
Video
Video
Planets? I thought that was a joke.
[She had been holding out hope, but... There was no way Joscelin would find her. None at all. They had just found each other again.]
Video
This fleet travels through space. No one seems to know where in space we are, in relation to our homeworlds.
I'm sorry.
Video
[It is bad news, made harder by the long journey she had just made. To be so far from home, further than ever before. She has more questions but none of them seem as relevant at this point. It would take time to reevaluate.]
Thank you for your patience, it has been very helpful. May I contact you later if I have more questions?
Video
Of course, it's no trouble. You can reach me by my personal frequency. [Which he'll enter here!]
This is so late feel free to ignore
[She gives him a smile, one grown from years of court training, and bobs what is probably a curtsy though he can't see her bottom half.]
Until next time, my lord.
[It was the shock that made her forget - so few people her appreciated the honorific, and yet she'd never know a time without using it.]
Video
Video
Phedre smiles, bowing her head gracefully.]
Thank you, my lord. This is very helpful to me. Do you, perhaps, know where we are as well?
Video
I'm no lord.
As for where we are, we are constantly floating through space. We move to another destination every month or so. Currently, we are near a planet which is mostly water, with a few small islands dotted around.
This is so late feel free to ignore
Near... a planet. [She was not usually thick, and she could clearly see the starts and empty space. But understanding and being comfortable with it were two such very different things.] I see.
Every month? Where else has this... fleet come ashore?
nooo tis fine!
Hmn, For now, it is near a planet that is covered in water and populated by small islands.
You're so niiiiice
Does it dock on these planets we visit?
aww don't mention it!
Re: aww don't mention it!
How do they ensure we return?
[She had been captive in many places but this was perhaps the first without guards.]
no subject
no subject
[This slang makes no sense to her - living in such a strange place seemed like it would be comparable to learning a new language at this rate.]
We are... forcefully removed?
no subject
no subject
[She doesn't at all, really, but she smiles at him thankfully.]
I appreciate your help.

[Phedre was rather overwhelmed with this current situation, but she could recognize the need for... a welcoming party, as it were. Very much so.]

My thanks.
[A small curtly towards the camera, and she reaches to end the conversation. She had a great deal to think about.]
video;
Evening t'you too, ma'am. Is there a problem?
This is so late feel free to ignore
I see to be lost, my lord.
[She's had a few conversations, but this was an interesting introduction.]
no worries!
I'm no lord, ma'am, just a soldier. James Barnes. At your service.
You lovely angel
A pleasure. I am Phedre no Delaunay. [Her title she leaves off - it is apparently irrelevant here - and she had never been one to flaunt it, surprise in her life that it had been.]
Are you in this fleet with us?
no subject
Pleasure's all mine, ma'am. Yes, I am. You're aboard a ship called the Marsiva, you'll shortly be assigned to one like mine.
no subject
[Phedre smiles in appreciation. It was something at least, this information.]
And are these ships unmanned as well?
no subject
no subject
Are they contracted for our journey, then?
no subject
No. We serve as the crew. The only natives we have around her are the little repairbots, and the people we visit when we stop for supplies.
no subject
[Her eyes widen with what does not even attempt pretence at anything other than shock. It truly didn't make sense to her. The real question was how?
How did a power control them from a distance, with no physical manifestation beyond self-propelling ships? How did self-propelling ships exist?
So very many questions.]
no subject
Yeah. For their entertainment. To be honest, I was thinking this is a dream.
no subject
I... see.
[No. No no no.
As good as trapped and her own keeper. Not even of her choice. She was alone, and lost, and apparently had no one to try and discover information from.]
no subject
no subject
[She smiles in appreciation as well as she can, tucking despair behind wherever she managed to keep it. Now was not the time. Not while on the contraption thay captured her image at least.]
You are kind, but no. Perhaps I could contact you later? If I have more questions?

I appreciate your help.
Good evening, Mr. Barnes. Until next time.
[A gracefully dipped curtsy, and she flicks the screen off.]
