[ The video turns on, and she's got her chin in her palm. She blows a little at her bangs, making them fly up for a moment before she speaks ]

I've seriously been slacking lately ... so, anyone wanna spar? I know it's kinda late at night, but I could super use the practice.

[He shrugs a shoulder at the strange naming practices of Loggins' parents. He's got nothin'.]

You'd still want to? You don't seem to think too much of my skills.

[He's chafed about it, okay. Joseph is very competitive as she probably realized from watching him play volleyball.]

[ Yes, she did notice that, which is why she was taunting him in the first place. But the problem is ... she is competitive af, too ]

Well, I won't really know what to think unless I see for myself.

Alright, well, if you're sure and since you asked, I won't hold back just because you're a girl.

Eh? Really?

[ That was easier than she thought ... ]

I may be a pretty easygoing guy and I know you don't take me very seriously, but I've got pride, you know.

[ She doesn't think he's the brightest, but ... ]

If anything, I get the feeling you're probably secretly, like, obscenely strong. It'll be good practice for me!

[He's beaming now.]

You say a lot of smart things, Ino, but I think that's the smartest thing you've said yet.

[ She grins ]

You're just saying that 'cause I said something nice.

Maybe you should say nicer things about me more often then.

[HE IS NOT FISHING TO BE CALLED HANDSOME, OKAY. ...Not specifically this time anyway. And even then, he doesn't actually mind all that much that she's a little mean to him. If he did, he wouldn't keep coming back for more.]

You'll have to do a good job at impressing me first, won't you?

Gimme ten minutes. You can use the time to think up all the compliments you're going to give me.

[ She taps her wrist like there's a watch there, even though it's bare ]

I'm waiting.

[Joseph laughs before he cuts the feed, a mixture of mischievous and giddy. He hates to admit it given how much he is opposed to doing work, but he's missed training a little bit. And besides, Joseph loves showing off. This is a perfect opportunity even if he doesn't win.]

[He still has the same crooked grin by the time he shows up on the beach, adjusting his gloves.]

That wasn't too long of a wait, was it?

[ She feigns a yawn. Because she is rude like that. ]

Pushing it, but I guess it wasn't terrible.

Don't complain about getting time to get ready. [He cracks his knuckles as he settles into a stance.] It's the only break you're gonna get.

[ She grins, moving into a battle-ready stance of her own ]

You shouldn't talk so big until you're actually winning, you know.

[Joseph just grins, incredibly self-assured. Without his clackers, Joseph is limited when it comes to his range. At least, that's what he's completely content to let Ino believe. There are a few ideas he has when it comes to dirty tricks, but he's not going to show his hand until he needs to. So, he closes the distance between them with a right hook, his fist crackling with Ripple.]

[ Meanwhile, she's pretty sure Jojo has no idea what to expect out of her, given that she's maintained a fairly decent amount of quiet about her abilities. Well, other than that time with the volleyball.

She ducks to the side to avoid his fist, taking just a short moment to curiously regard the way the Ripple seems to come from him. Then she crouches down to try and sweep a leg under him to knock him over. Gotta use her smaller size to her advantage! ]

[Joseph definitely isn't used to fighting against smaller opponents ~~SOMEHOW GIVEN THAT HE'S LIKE THE SIZE OF A HOUSE~~, but he is used to getting knocked on his ass pretty frequently. So, she's successful in getting his legs out from under him, but Joseph simply uses the momentum to roll backwards and back onto his feet.]

Nice try.

[ She shrugs with a genial smile, and in that same moment, she swiftly takes a few throwing knives from the pouch on her leg and sends them flying towards him. Of course, she's aiming for non-vital points! She's not that mean! ]

[Well, he'll maybe appreciate that later! But right now he's not all that interested in getting hit in non-vital points either. Fortunately, it's only a few heading towards him. He makes the snap decision to slide under them, getting closer to Ino. He's not quite close enough to her again on his own, but a little Ripple and his punch extends the few extra inches he'd need to land it.]

[ Aw, shit.

Well, she doesn't quite have the room or the time to properly make the getaway she'd like, so instead, she'll cross her arms in front of her to block the punch, using her own chakra to make a "shield" of sorts where his fist hits.

She even manages to keep her grounding despite the blow! Wowie! It looks like it's taking her a bit of effort, but that is. Definitely not how a normal person gets punched.

Once she's a little more confident she's not going to get smacked around in some direction, she'll move her arms against his to try and shove him out of the way ]

[Joseph is big. Which means he's also heavy. Normally, this would probably be a very strong advantage over Ino, but sand does not make for very steady footing. He's forced back and left wide open, which judging by the stupid look on his face? Joseph wasn't expecting that.]

[ When you can punch through a concrete wall, even Brick House Jojo over here isn't so bad.

Still, it looks pretty weird for a 5 foot bitty blonde girl in a bikini to be able to fend him off. But hey, she was kinda counting on that element of surprise. She grins mischievously, darting forward and jumping up to go for a roundhouse kick to the face.

They sure do teach some interesting things in Medic School, apparently! ]

[Why do you have so much against his face, Ino? :'(]

[There's not enough time to block that or to get out of the way of her foot. He takes it right to the face and gets a mouthful of sand for his trouble. He pushes himself back up onto his hands and knees and starts spitting and sputtering sand out.]

[Now he's annoyed.]
