[He's been designated Captain of his ship. Sokka is used to leadership, he's lead his motley gang around the world, after all. It's something he has quite literally been born to do. After the flub before the Day of Black Sun, though, he knows public speaking is not his Thing. But not this time. No, this time he is going to inspire his crew and give them complete and utter faith in his leadership.]

So, uh, hi. It looks like I've been made Captain.

...Of the SS Blue Fish, I mean. Not like, the Captain of Everything, because that would be dumb. [A nervous laugh.] Could you even believe that? Captain of Everything. Ha...ha.

Anyway, I want my crew to know I've totally got this. I'm a leader back home, too. I make sure Team Avatar gets to where we need to go. Except none of you know who Team Avatar is, do you? Okay! Team who's responsible for saving the world. We're a big deal. So I lead those guys, and I've led two invasion forces.

...Okay the first one failed terribly but the second one seems to be going pretty well. Except for the fact I'm probably about to die. But! Uh. Yeah! I really do know what I'm doing and I promise to be the best Captain I can be.

Sokka! My name's Sokka. Though...you probably already got that in the announcement.

I'm gonna turn off the communicator now.

I hear you're supposed to like, practice in front of a mirror and stuff. The public speaking, not the leading part.

I'll do my best to deal with aforementioned invasion.

[...] Actually, wait. I think the confetti was because I changed ships.

[......] Anyway, I think I'm only captain by default because there's literally no one else on my ship.

Wait...you're all alone? Why would they even do that?

I dunno. Maybe me being an antisocial weirdo is really funny to someone.

Or, like, I'm being punished. Put in solitary for something I haven't done yet, but maybe I've done it in the future and we just haven't reached the special future plot where a guy from the future changes the events of the past and the story falls apart because the writers ran out of ideas.

Or whoever plans these shuffles or whatever are totally not good at their job.

[There's a measured pause here.]

Yeah, I'd go with the last one.

Haha. Yeah. Me too.

But hey, we can use that to our advantage. Incompetent enemies are easier to beat than the competent ones.

I like your thinking. Now we just have to find the damn guys...

I'd, uh, put money on the big egg-looking spaceship out there...

The Marsiva? [Sokka makes a face.] I checked that whole place out when I arrived there, and I couldn't find anything useful at all. There are ways inside into the deeper parts of the ship, I'm sure, but we'd need schematics or something to really get inside.

Well, it's, ah--pretty small right now. Room to expand, and all that.

Well, yeah. But it's good groundwork. I got something like that too. It's more...uh rag tag than network, but it still works.
