It was almost too much to believe.

An unspoiled planet, clear blue skies, water as far as the eye could see. She pans the camera around to catch the expanse of beach with the ocean stretching out to the horizon, the sun glinting off the waves, a few puffy clouds wafting their way past.

"I will never tire of this."

She'll be on the beach, just walking along and taking it all in. Trudging through sand is not unfamiliar with her, but the sound of the waves is intoxicating and foreign.

[He had needed her urging to turn the Red Fish back around and return to port, but once there, it had taken very little to get him to leave the ship. He plans to have a good long poke around in its guts later, but just as she had on the Marsiva, she'd promised to show him water, and...

And she has more than done that. Her camera might catch him crouching on the very edge of the beach, boots digging into the wet sand, one hand in the water. He stares at the tide ebbing and flowing around his fingers.

Eventually, he scoops a little into his mouth, then grimaces and spits it out.]

No good to drink, though.

[Furiosa cuts the feed for now, tucking her device back in one of the leather pockets on her belt.] Saltwater.

[She remembers reading it, somewhere and somewhen long ago. She approaches him to stand at the edge of the surf and watches it roll over the sand.] What do you think?

[ Ah! Even better, he doesn't have to find which ship she's on, if she's on the beach!

... Of course, then it's where on the beach is she. So Asteffiel wanders the beach, a long thin leaf over something he has tucked to his side, hiding it from view. Or at least view from the front - from the back, it's pretty clearly a little pot.

Wait there is a person. Looks like the right person? ]

I found a plant for you!

[ He's tall and purple and wearing leaves. Does he need to reintroduce himself? ]

[Furiosa turns to the voice and gives him a good looking over. It's pretty apparent who he is.]

Asteffiel. It's nice to finally meet you.

[I'm very sorry for this Furiosa but you have already met the talking pony so maybe a penguin will be less of a blow now.

Frobisher is having a swim as Furiosa records her video, as he's been doing pretty much since they arrived on this planet. Hey, it's not like he's going to get to go swimming again once they're all back on the ships, so better take advantage of it while he can.

Needing a break, he swims back into shore and waddles his way back onto the sand, just catching the end of her broadcast. And hey, he's always happy to make a new friend ~~especially with a fine looking lady~~.]

You actually been in the water yet? You think it looks pretty from here, you gotta see the coral they got down here!

[She focuses the feed on the penguin for a bit, because animals are a rare thing indeed.]

[And then he talks and she just has to lower the device and stare at him for a long, quiet moment. Yes, she has already been introduced to the concept of talking animals but it's still weird.]

I'm not really dressed for it.

[She's better dressed for a motorcycle ride, to be honest.]

Not to blow your mind or anything, pal, but I think it's entirely possible to swap out what your got on at some point. Unless they're glued on or something, I ain't gonna judge.

[He trudges a little further inland, and gives himself a good full-bodied shake.]

This is the life, lemme tell ya. If I don't see the inside of one of them spaceships again I'm gonna be one happy bird.

Or I could just prefer this to the alternative. [She's spent so much of her life lately trying to look androgynous, trying to slide under the notice of hyper-sexed males; the last thing she needs is prancing on a beach in a bikini.]

[She can agree with him on that assessment, though. She nods with a thoughtful sound.] It is beautiful out here.

Oh yeah. If I'm gonna get kidnapped and trapped on some kinda space fleet for some nameless group of people's entertainment, they might as well throw in a nice beach holiday for me. You know that hunk of junk they call a fleet didn;t even have any tuna fish on board? What's a penguin supposed to eat?

But this place... the fish are just smart enough to give you a good chase, but not enough so I gotta work to hard, you know. And you know they got whales down there? At least, I think they're whales. I ain't been properly introduced.

Speaking of, the name's Frobisher. Great to meet you and all that.

[Here, have a flipper to shake.]

[Fish. Whales. Things she had little more than a passing concept of.]

[She looks down at his outstretched flipper, but doesn't stoop to shake it. Sorry dude, she's leaving you hanging.] Imperator Furiosa, First Breath.

[Wow he's glad he didn't try for a high five then his feelings really would have been hurt.]

First Breath, huh. Is that like a job title or a last name?

It's my ship. I'm a pilot.

Right, I can never keep track of those. How many does one operation need, anyway?

Although if you don't mind me saying, you look like you'd handle a ship pretty damn well.

[Is this penguin raising an eyebrow at you MAYBE]

[Assuming Furiosa is still walking the beach toward evening, then she'll likely come across Rogue, sitting on the stand and watching the sunset.

She glances over at the other woman's approach, gives a little nod of acknowledgement, and turns her attention back to the sunset.]

There's so much.

[He moves forward a little more, the water just lapping around the soles of his heavy boots. Then, remembering the shower -- and how uncomfortable that had gotten after a while -- he moves back to sit on the sand and pull them off.]

You know things live in it?

I had better. I've had plenty of practice. [Of a sort. Ships weren't exactly cars but she did learn how to read a rig and if she could simplify it to that, she was gold. Given her success bringing down Nux, she'd have to say she's doing alright.]

What ship are you on? [Now that he mentions it, just how many were there in the fleet?]

[She nods, looking out over the waves.] Lots of things. Big things. About the size of the War Rig.

[She nods in turn. It was a pretty spectacular sunset.]

What? No, the one I saw was--

[He holds up his hand, holding his fingers apart to indicate the size of a goldfish.]

Man said it keeps him company.

[She looks down to see what he's indicating, with a perplexed grunt. It's not the size that's surprising her, but the fact that someone keeps it as company?]

Does it talk?

[Given her experiences with a certain pony and penguin, that wouldn't surprise her at all.]

[Clad in a bright yellow Speedo, the Vision is taking a shortcut back to where the Windrose's shuttle is parked. He's carrying a glowing yellow fish in a lantern-type carrying case familiar to anyone who's been into the bars and restaurants on this particular island; the color of the fish precisely matches that of the stone set into his forehead. He nods to her as he passes, recognizing the difference in dress that marks a Fleeter compared to a native.]

[By now Furiosa is used to seeing far more beings than she ever thought imagineable, so she's not entirely surprised by this new person. He's perplexing - especially the stone set in his forehead - but what draws her attention most is the fish in its lantern. Was the who Nux had been talking about?]

Nice fish.

[Well worth watching in silence, and Rogue is really... pretty okay with silence, although it's something she's more comfortable sharing with people that she knows. So if Furiosa has paused long enough to admire the sunset in Rogue's vicinity, she'll eventually feel compelled to break the silence.]

...it's kinda weird, right? But it is beautiful.

[She's not the biggest talker, but she's not allergic to conversation like some people.]

It is. I didn't know sunsets came in these colors. [Her world had been high contrast; scorching orange and reds during the daytime, deep violets and near-black blues at night. It's a different environment out here, different atmosphere, andvisually stunning with all that water.]

[She makes a low sound of acknowledgement.]

I guess that makes sense. We are on a different planet.

[Though the world where she had last been had vivid sunsets of its own, there were subtle differences here - the size and shape of the gleaming light, the variations in color.

Rogue shakes her head slightly. At times, that whole 'different planet' thing is still so hard to believe, despite all evidence to the contrary.]
