[ The video flicks on to a spacious room, spans it from left to right, then top to bottom. There's a door off to the right side, and the camera follows it to the adjoining room, similarly large. Again, left to right, top to bottom. Both rooms are spic and span, empty, with wooden floors. And then it switches to audio. The voice is brusque, but amiable, with a moderate Brooklyn drawl. ]

Nice place for a gym. There could be a dojo next door, so it's all in one place. I've got a few sandbags to hang up, and some mats we could use. There's a notice outside for schedules — I know a lot of you folks have been offering training. The room's big enough, and there's plenty more like it on this ship.

Anybody else interested?



[ Anyone wandering the Iskaulit or looking for Bucky after the broadcast will find him humming as he puts up the sandbags. He's dressed very simply in the ship's jumpsuit, with no left sleeve. The left arm whirs in tune as he works. ]

[She gives a bit of a cocky smirk, but inside she's a little unsure of herself. She was still a little sore from her last sparring match with a certain blonde-haired ninja.]

I do not know. It might look bad for the man in uniform to be knocked on his ass by a young lady, would it not?

Not at all. Everyone knows a lady's prerogative is to win.

[ He winks at her. ]

[She gives a feigned sigh of reluctance, and shrugs her shoulders. The cocky grin never quite leaving her face.]

Well, as long as that is understood. Though, I find it odd that you seem so eager to fight me.

Nah. I just think you should know how to defend yourself. The most dangerous thing in the world now isn't what it used to be.

[Wanda's expression becomes somewhat less playful at that. She knows that Jim is right. The lingering soreness from her leg injury served as a good reminder.]

So you wish to teach me how to fight?

[ A firm correction, ] You already know how to fight.

[ That's not something that can be taught. ]

I'd teach you to throw a punch. Or take one, if you have to.

[A slight cock of an eyebrow and the return of her cocky grin signals that she recognizes and appreciates Jim's little correction. And truth be told, his offer didn't sound to bad to her. Ino had given her a little bit of direction, but it was certainly not anything too beyond basic.]

You can teach someone how to get punched?

[ A nod. ]

Useful trick, if you wanna fool somebody, or if you can't avoid a hit and need to.

Given the choice, I would prefer to not be in a position where I could not avoid the punch... but I see how it could be useful.

Sometimes, there ain't a choice but to take it.

[ Though, she's right, they shouldn't have to. It's just not the way the world works. ]

I do not recall have anything else planned for today. So I suppose now is fine.

[ Jokingly, ] I'll have t'check with my assistant.

What d'ya know, there's a whole block a'time for you. Come whenever you like.

I will be there shortly. Remind me, what is the name of your ship again?

The Heron, but this room [ he waves ] is on the Iskaulit.

[There is a slight grimace to Wanda's features as Jim states the name of that ship. Sure, Wanda had spent plenty enough time on it during the "conflict," but that did not mean that was necessarily eager to return. Still, she knows it to be safe now, but there remains a sense of discomfort surrounding the ship.]

Is it hard to find? This room you are in?

No, it's not too far into the ship. Just a bit a' walking down the left side entrance.

[Wanda nods her head, a small smile back on her face as she tries to look nonchalant.]

Okay, I will be there soon.

[About fifteen minutes later, Wanda manages to wander her way into Jim's room aboard the Ikasult. She clearly looks a little on edge, but also clearly trying to look calm. She pokes her head into the room, checking to see if she found the right one.]

[ he picks up on the unease in her bearing, he can't not, but smiles at her, pleasantly. ]

Hello Wanda. Looks like you didn't have any trouble.

[She grins mildly as she enters the room.]

It was easy enough to find, yes.

[She looks around the room, surveying its contents (or lack thereof)].

So where do we start?

Right over here.

[ He waves her to the boxing ring, letting her inspect it first. ]

[As she's led over to the boxing ring, she gives Jim a "Are you serious?" look, before a bemused grin cracks through. She then shrugs her shoulders and hops into the ring, walks over and stands in the center.]

I forgot to bring my gloves.

That's all right, we don't have to hit each other for your first lesson. Just learn how to move.

[ He steps in, and rolls his shoulder. The arm whirrs, plates adjusting for strength. ]

Now, here, just follow what I do. Pay attention to my feet.

[ He demonstrates a left hook, and then a right. ]

[At first, Wanda cocks an eyebrow at him. Learn to move? That seemed almost common sense. However, she decided to humor Jim and watch as she was told. After he gives his little demonstration, she attempts to echo his performance. Though, she likely comes off as a little enthusiastic about it all. It's not Jim's fault; she's just not sure how much she's actually supposed to be learning at the moment.]

[ Might be common sense, but when he's seen enough of her trying, he very carefully lodges his foot next to hers, and with application of pressure almost pushes her off-balance with a single movement. ]

Keep your feet a little flatter. This ain't like ballet.
