[ Nova pops up on the screen. Her hair is down and she looks... moderately rested. Not ideal but not like a zombie-girl. Her voice sounds tired, though, and she's nervous about being on-screen. It doesn't really matter how in-the-spotlight she's been, it never really gets easier for her ]

Hey. I'm still getting used to all of this. And I thought, I don't know, that I'd try to get to know people more. It helped at the last place. So... if you could have someone here that you miss, who would it be? I'll go first: it'd be my sister, Prim.

But tell me more about your sister. You said she's a healer, right?

Yeah, she learned from my mother's materials. She's got a gift.

Sounds similar to how I first learned to heal. Only for me it was my grandmother.

Really? What was she like?

She was really more like a mother than a grandmother to me. My parents died when I was very young, so she was the one who raised me. More than anything, she loved to garden, and had an amazing skill with plants. When I was growing up, we grew a lot of our own vegetables and herbs, and she made the most wonderful vegetable soup you've ever tasted. She was kind of old fashioned like that... wanted to cook by hand instead of using replicators and looked to herbal remedies first whenever I was sick. Drove me crazy when I was a teenager, but now I'm really grateful that she taught me not to be overly reliant on technology.

She sounds wonderful.

What are replicators?

She was. I'm lucky to have had her.

Oh, a replicator is a technology from my world that can convert matter into almost anything you need... Food, clothing, tools. Honestly, I don't understand all the science behind it, as I am much more comfortable with biological systems than mechanical.

That sounds incredible, actually.

They are. They really revolutionized not only space travel but more importantly, every day citizens' lives. Hunger has been wiped out on my planet. I wish we could get some here, but even if I knew enough about their engineering to build one, I don't know that we have adequate energy resources for it.

...They actually used it for everyone equally?

[Remembering both Aveline's disbelief and Tek's words of caution, Beverly is careful in her how she responds, hoping to avoid any sense of bragging.]

That's right. It was not always that way, in Earth's history, however. We are trying to learn from our previous mistakes.

That's... really something, though. I can't imagine what that sort of technology would do for people in the Seam.

The Seam? Is that your home?

That's the part of District 12 that I'm from, yeah.

[Districts? Who else was talking about that? Right...]

You don't happen to be from the same universe as Wrath, do you?

I don't know anyone with that name.

She's another member of the fleet. A friend. It's just that one time she mentioned something about Districts back home, so I thought maybe you might know one another. Atroma seems to enjoy "coincidences."

Is that her real name?

I'm not sure. Wrath is the name she gave me and I haven't... It's not my place to pry into her past.

[Though Wrath would in all likelihood freely tell Beverly about it, if she could only remember.]
