The consistency is all wrong. But the taste ain't too off. [Yuck.] We need real meat, is what we need. An' vegetables. An' -- bread!

[ Probably best not to get your taste endorsements from someone still re-experiencing taste for himself. ]

[If that's the case, she is sad she left coffee off the list. Sadly, she has no idea that she's just placed an order.]

Okay. Let's switch spots. You can finish makin' this one.

[She steps away from the counter, giving him room.]

[ He gives her a look that's similar to a deer caught in the headlights before it goes back into neutrality. Winter slides over to where she was before, surveying everything she had out before flicking his eyes back to Rogue. ]

What do I need to do?

[ He has no idea how to even go about this. ]

Alright, it's not easy [because Rogue knows that saying something is 'easy' only makes someone feel bad if they don't do well instantly], but ya don't have ta worry 'cause I'm gonna show you what ta do step by step. A lot of the ingredients are out already, so all you have ta do is measure them properly and then put them together.

[She pauses to assess his expression.] Okay?

[ The fact that she'll be there to correct his errors is relieving. He's got absolutely no idea what to do, but learning something new? That's something he's looking forward to. Something that doesn't involve how fast he could murder someone.

He surveys what's been laid out, nodding his head tersely. He looks to her for further instruction, his expression open and waiting.]

Acknowledged.

Okay.

[ Okay. Okay, it was just... there was something more going on here than she really understood, and Rogue didn't know quite how to get a handle on it. ]

We're makin' muffins. Thing is, we don't have any proper flower, so I had ta beat up those potato flake things to make somethin' like it. We'll need two an' a half cups.

[ She pushes the measuring glass over to him.]

[ It's a simple enough instruction, all things considered. Picking up the measuring glass, he turns it over in his hand before setting it on the counter to measure them out. ]

What next?

Pour the flakes in the mixin' bowl, since we're gonna need that measurin' container again. Then add in a cup of water for later.

[ He follows her instructions exactly, dumping the flakes into the bowl and moving to the sink in order to fill the measuring cup with water. ]
