Hey, so there's a lot of people in the Fleet from a lot of species and I'm wondering: how many have mental powers? Empathy, or telepathy, or suggestion... that kind of thing.

And if you don't, what do you think about it?

If there are Humans on all different planets, it makes sense that it would apply to other species. I bet the different environments made you evolve differently.

You know, how species adapt and change over time. Like how a forest cat species climbs trees but a plains species can run fast.

Well, no. It usually starts as bacteria, or something like that. And then it gets more complicated.

Bacteria are [wait would he know what cells are] really small, simple life-forms. You can't see them with your eyes, but they're pretty much everywhere. And they're usually the first thing that appears as life on a planet.
