3 - Late Nite (Sleeping) Action!

Who: Nux and the Red Fish crew
Broadcast: N/A
Action: S.S. Red Fish
When: Any night during his first few weeks!

[There are a lot of things Nux really likes about this new life on the Red Fish. Having clean water and food available on demand has already been an enormous luxury. Having a whole ship to play with is even better, even if it's under Zhas's command. He hasn't been sure what to make of the fact that he's been here for a while now and hasn't seemed to get any sicker, but he knows it's ultimately a good thing.

Furiosa had told him to live, and somehow, he is. He learns what it is to stop being hungry and thirsty all the time, he learns about clean. He even stops wearing his war paint.

He's also never had a space of his own before, though. There are probably some people who like that part, too, but when Nux tries to go to sleep cloistered away in his little bunk, the Red Fish suddenly feels very empty and very cold. Some nights, he can handle it. Others...

Well, there are nights those crew members that don't lock their doors might wake up to find a scarred-up, gangly bunch of limbs trying to curl up beside them.]

[he'll take any bit of space he can get, so he doesn't go after Nux again once he sits back.

he just breathes between his teeth in frustration and signs a pointed 'fine!' at him, which really doesn't look like a very nice gesture to begin with.]

[Coil's jaw clenches tight at the snarl--both biting back the instinct to return the gesture with something, and being simply struck by the familiarity of it. even more than all the growling, it catches him a little bit.

and he'd expected Nux to get up and leave after that, really. but then he doesn't go anywhere. and Coil doesn't kick him off of the mattress, which is the other thing he'd expected to happen. he doesn't know why he decides not to.

instead, rolling with Nux's frustration and the way that it roils around without the willingness to take it very far, Coil flops over where he's at. on his crowded side of the bed, he rolls over onto his stomach and folds his arms under his chin. it doesn't buy him any extra room, but symbolically hiding his underbelly makes him feel a little less vulnerable.

maybe he can tolerate it like this. maybe.]
