[So it's Ino's birthday! Anyone who is on good terms with Ino would have received an invitation to attend a birthday party for her on the Iskaulit. I assure you, it was mostly Hiro's doing. Or anyone else involved with the party planning. ]

[Sure enough going to the appointed time and place will indeed lead you to a birthday party! There's a giant banner saying so and everything. Not only that but there's delicious food thanks to Belthazar, music, and other assorted party things.]

[In other words? ITS A MINGLE. Feel free to stop by, socialize, not socialize and hang awkwardly in a corner, gate crash, mooch food or anything else you can think of! ]

Well, that's a lesson learned for me, isn't it? If I want to avoid horrific embarrassment: bring appetisers.

[Axel is perusing the snacks when he spies Ino, and he gives her a grin, waving a hand and approaching her.]

Hey, you. Glad I didn't sleep through this little shindig, you know? [He offers her one of the snacks he's found: little weenies wrapped in croissant dough on a toothpick.] I wish I'd been able to find some ice cream at the way station, that really would have made it, but I guess tiny weenies will do.

[Since Clay's not a close friend like several other people here, he waves at her when she comes in, but doesn't move to greet her until after most everyone else has done so. Once an opportunity opens up, however, he walks up with his hands behind his back and a big smile on his face.]

Hey hey, a little birdie told me it was your birthday!

[You can thank Belth for the food because there's a lot of it. A purple lace cake, luxurious and sparkly, with additional cake pops for guests. There are also purple macaroons, green and black tea (both conjured), and the star of the show: gourmet chocolate pudding. Everything appears to be dusted with edible glitter except the pudding, because that's weird. Non-cake things include dango, chicken teriyaki, vegetarian buns, and delicate vegetable pancakes. He sort of outdid himself here, but he ate a lot of these things on Azeroth and Exsilium and brought the knowledge with him.

More importantly though, he has a present. He's shy and waits his turn. His gift is in a nondescript flat black box with a violet ribbon. He shoves it at her and ducks his head.]

Happy birthday. I'm... glad you were born.

[Smooth. Anyway, there's an extremely glittery dress inside, in keeping with the theme of the night. It's been enchanted and altered by Belth's own hands to fit her seamlessly. Occasionally little fairy lights appear around the dress, hover for a few seconds, and vanish.]

I thought you might come.

[He shoves a vegetable bao in his mouth... followed by four more.

Your elf friend is disgusting.]

[Belth is reserved and doesn't like parties, but here he is anyway. Light of lights, he almost seems happy. If not tired as hell. Mostly he's just shoving food in his mouth like a squirrel while he watches everyone from the sidelines. He won't dance, doesn't offer to.

When he's full, he just kinda... dozes off in his seat. He made too much food and used a bit too much magic to make this happen. You'd think he would've learned from watching Adra do the same thing a couple years ago, but alas. Like father, like adopted son.]

[ She smiles a little at him ]

There you are! I was wondering when I'd get to thank you for all of that fancy food.

[ She'll take the box, though, and carefully untie the ribbon to open it. Peeking inside, she sees ... a lot of sequins, wow. ]

Eh? Clothes?

[ Sets the box down and pulls the dress out properly, and ... wow, she's starry eyed ]

Whoa! Bel, where did you find this? It's so pretty!

[ino]

[ Aw! She grins ]

Yeah, I guess it is! How's it going, Clay?

[ino]

[ She glances down at what he's offering her, laughing as she takes one ]

"Tiny weenies", huh ...

[ino]

Eh? You got me something?

[ I mean ... she totally has time now ... right .... ]

[ino]

[ Alright, that gets a smile out of her at least ]

Yeah? Well, uh ... thanks for helping them out.

[ SHE DOESN'T THINK SHE DOES THAT MUCH ...

But either way, she's letting out a little sigh of a laugh -- before giving him another quick hug ]
