.02 [ Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This ]
Who: Rogue
Broadcast: nope
Action: Planet with optional Vanquish options
When: Planetside, from beginning to end.
A Is for Augmentation
[It’s the middle of the night, and all good children are supposed to be in bed… so then what is Rogue doing, walking around the boarding house with her gloves off and her eyes closed?
Maybe it’s the same thing that has her shrieking awake a few night’s later, one single, panicked cry that she quickly stifles as awareness returns? Unfortunately, this won’t be her last night with nightmares… and unfortunately, sometimes the sleepwalking and the nightmares may come at once…]
B is for Bounty
[...hunting, that is. Rogue wasn’t planning on making a habit of this, it wasn’t really her thing, but if she found a wanted poster for a guy who did something that pissed her off enough, she would go and make it her business to hunt that particular individual down.
Of course, she didn’t really have any idea what she was doing. It just seemed like a thing to try. How do you find a needle in a haystack, and one poorly washed thug really was almost interchangeable. Walking up to someone and asking, ‘Hey, have you seen this guy?’ was probably not the best way of going about it.
In fact, that’s possibly the kind of thing that could get a gal more attention than she was looking for...]
C is for Chisel (and hammer, and stone)
[Rogue wasn’t exactly sure what that quadraped was, but… she has decided to call it a ‘zeorse’ and she is happy to see it. Do not doubt that she will be making friends in the stables and riding off on adventures…
And one of those adventures takes place after a week or so on the planet, and the quiet confirmation that both Tony and Zessica had… gone, Rogue borrows a chisel and hammer from a local She rides out into the wild and finds a cluster of hard red rock, and in the lee of the wind carves three names there: Tony. Zessica. Anja.
She’ll be more withdrawn and quiet than normal when she returns those tools.]
D is for Drunk and Disorderly
[Sometime after this conversation, Rogue will be… upset.
She will be upset enough to go blindly into the night with a powerful need to punch things, though with Kurt there she didn’t feel it was… the best idea, perhaps, to go and start a bar fight even though it would be so. easy.
So she just goes to a bar. And she orders a drink. And if there is a fight she doesn’t have to start but gets to finish, so be it.
So. Be. It.]
E? E is for Everything Else.
[On the Vanquish? Shopping and hoping to make something out of this material? Staring dramatically into the sunset?]

He stretches his foot out, hooking it around the man's leg, and then with a smooth, twisting motion, he slams the rebar into the back of his opponent's head mid-stumble.
It only takes a moment, but the attack is unexpected enough that he can easily weave around the fourth and fifth men, shifting into a fighting stance behind them.
Now he and Rogue have them surrounded.]

Now, you boys are bein' downright rude. [ Rogue recognizes one with the attitude of an instigator and weaves toward him. ] If ya wanna make up for it, I suggest droppin' your guns right now. This ain't that kinda fight.
[She doesn't attack yet, giving them a chance to develop a brain. Whether or not they take that chance remains to be seen.]

The fact that they have guns is troublesome. He may have been able to dodge and block in GGO, but without the system-assisted bullet prediction lines, he'll have to take them down before they can shoot.]

[And then she gets to work. She moves quickly to take out the leader, perhaps more quickly than anyone has any right to expect. She doesn't aim for his face when she punches, executing a punishing blow to the solar plexus instead and following through with a knee to his chin.
Then she spins and kicks the gun out of the hand of assailant number 2. She won't be too long, but what these guys lack in skill they make up in bulk, and she'll have to be brutally efficient in order to get clear enough to check on... whoever that kid was.]

When his own opponents reach for their guns, he gives them just enough time to raise them before he twists his body, smacking each in the wrist with the rebar. The guns drop to the ground, and there's a sickening crack as at least one of the hands is broken. Both men curse, grasping their injured wrists, and Kirito uses the momentum of the turn to lunge forward, thrusting the end of the bar into the closest man's gut. The rebar's end is blunted, and he doesn't put enough force to kill someone, but the man drops.
Four down, one to go. And as the last man recovers, Kirito rolls and grabs one of the abandoned hand guns, straightening into a crouch and pointing both it and his rebar sword at him. He doesn't like guns, but they're a lot more threatening than a chunk of scrap metal. The man wisely halts, hands up in surrender.]
Ah, sorry, mister... your friends are all asleep. What should we do with you, now?
