Who: Elize Lutus & YOU?
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Huntress (or whatever ship that Elize winds up being invited to)
When: Now - October 4th
Umm... hello, everyone.
[ The broadcast opens up with Elize sitting in her personnel room. Some drawings done by her and Cole can be seen hanging on the wall in the background, along with a little painting of pink flowers. On the desk is a small stack of even more paintings. Very rarely does Elize broadcast her own fleet wide posts on her own will. She finds it somewhat easier to speak one-on-one on other posts, not so much when it's broadcast to a fleet of people.
The little girl has her hands propped on her lap, shifting uncomfortably in her chair. Her cheeks are slowly turning a faint red as she records herself. She'd prefer not to make any posts, but she feels it needs to be done at this time. ]
Some of the Huntress crew went back home. My friend, Shirley, too. She left behind these paintings that she got from the previous planets and stations, I think?
[ She lifts one of the art pieces from her desk to show it off. Looks like it might be a painting of some sort of plant from a different planet...? Who knows. ]
I thought I should share these. I think Shirley would like it if I did that. [ And it's something for everyone to remember her by. ] If anyone wants one, you can visit the Huntress or if you want, I can go to you. Just let me know.
[ That's about all she wanted to say. She gives a little wave goodbye to the camera, then ends the recording. ]

video;
[ Not startled, but she shifts slightly in her seat again. There's obviously replies going to be pouring in and even when she was expecting it, she can't help but continue to feel shy and awkward. ]
Yes. That's fine. I'll be here.
video => action
[He gives her a smile, this time more genuine because oh gosh, she's adorable. No wonder she and Shirley were close! Stefan's true to his word, too: in about fifteen minutes, he's on the Huntress, looking for the young lady he'd talked to earlier -- and when he spots her, he tries really, really hard to seem as non-intimidating as possible by giving her a wave.]
Hey.
no subject
When she sees the familiar face from the broadcast earlier, she offers a smile. A somewhat awkward, tiniest of smiles. She's trying to be braver, better herself at communicating with other people. Though there's a bit of nervous sway of her arms. ]
Hello... were you Shirley's friend, too?
no subject
[He kneels down, so that he's exactly at her eye level, and pulls out a small sea-shell necklace he had bought from the beach planet, along with a horrendously red t-shirt that might be a little big on her.] Shirley helped me out when I first got here, and I figured... if you're kind enough to share a painting with me, I should give you something too.
It's not much, and the t-shirt's a little too red, but I hope you like them.
no subject
[ Canting her head slightly, she looks at the necklace with awe. It's so pretty. The t-shirt may be a little too bright and big for her, but she can't refuse a gift. She might be able to wear it as pajamas. She's about to hold her hands out to take it, but instead she clasps them near her chest, feeling uncertain to take the gifts instantly. ]
...Are you sure?
no subject
Very sure. [Snapping back to reality!] You're sharing one of Shirley's things with me, when you could've kept them all. That's very generous of you - and you know, I was gonna give that necklace to her.
[He was kinda saving it for Eid, except... well, she went home first.] If you don't want, though, that's a different story.
no subject
[ Still feeling rather timid, she doesn't want to simply take it from him. A moment of hesitation, then she opens her hands out before her to accept the gifts, waiting for him to place them in her hands. ]
I'll take care of them.
no subject
[They're gifts (though it's debatable on how useful the t-shirt is). Elize is doing him a favor by accepting one from the crate, in all honesty... but Stefan won't say so as he gently places them in her hands.] Thank you. I'm sure they'll be in good hands.
[He rises up to his full height, reluctantly.]
I guess we should go see the paintings now, huh?
no subject
Sorry, she doesn't think much when she tries to hold someone else's hand. Unless she thinks you're scary. ]
It's this way.
no subject
[He stares down at her hand for a second - she's willing to trust him? - before accepting it and following her forward. If he were honest, it makes him feel a little homesick (his niece would tug him forward just so too, every now and then).]
Where're we going, exactly?
no subject
My personnel room.
[ When they reach the room, the door is already open. It's the same room that was broadcasted on the feed. Drawings hanging on the walls and vases of flowers decorate the room. The paintings are stacked in a neat little pile on the desk. ]
Here. Feel free to take a look.
no subject
[Unwilling to let go of her hand for the moment, his gaze instead turns towards the drawings already on the wall. Almost shyly, because he's not sure how she'll take it,] I like these too. Did you draw any of them?
no subject
[ She points a finger at one of drawings, which is a pig with long rabbit-like ears. The drawing is rather childlike with very stiff lines and clearly not done by a professional. ]
My friend Cole drew the fancier ones.
[ The "fancier" ones are a bit more abstract, full of spirals, spikes, and all sort of different colors that somewhat make a shape of an animal. Some of them of people. ]
no subject
Your friend's a good artist. [Well, honestly, he's not sure - they're fascinating, and they're hung up in her room, so he feels like he has to praise them. Stefan wasn't much for abstract art to begin with.] But I'm kinda fond of this rabbit-pig you've got too.
no subject
[ She replies with an uncertain tone. She's aware that she's no professional artist, but it's fun to doodle nonetheless. When she isn't wandering on a station or a planet or if they're just drifting along space, she had to find some way to keep herself occupied. She did similar when she used to be locked up alone with Teepo. ]
If you want, you can have it.
no subject
[He finally turns towards the paintings Shirley had collected, going through each one until he finds one he likes. It's a landscape of the sea - a fitting memory for someone from a floating ship, he thinks.]
I'm not much of an artist - I write, mostly - but you should keep it up. Your rappig looks pretty good from here.
no subject
[ Which is what she often says and does too. Perhaps those little doodles will improve over time if she keeps doing them. She cracks a small smile. ]
What do you write about?
no subject
[He laughs a little at the question, more out of embarrassment than anything.]
Honestly? A lot of romance, some mysteries... whatever pops into my head at that moment. It's not super organized, but it keeps me busy.
no subject
[ She remembers Dorian and Isabela reading romance stories out loud over the network before. They were weird and embarrassing. She probably shouldn't ask any more about that. ]
I write sometimes too! Um... letters to people. And I like to make up songs. I haven't written those down though...
no subject
Hey, I know we've just met... but I wouldn't mind helping you write down some of those songs.
no subject
[ A little shrug of her shoulders. She could write it down on her own, but the only writing system that she's familiar with is Rieze Maxian. If she could write it down in different languages, it might be easier to share with people. But her songs are usually rather short, only a few verses from the top of her head. ]
They're short songs.
no subject
[Gently:] I'm fluent in about three languages on Earth. Most people can read my first one, but I figure, if we write them in multiple languages, it'd be easier to read.
no subject
[ Well, she knows earth can mean the ground. But from the sound of it, she realizes he's referring to an actual place. She obviously didn't recognize all the Earth references on the fleet. ]
That a lot of languages. I only know how to write in Rieze Maxian.
no subject
Earth's also got a ton of languages, and it was important to me. [Totally downplaying this, because it make make her feel more at ease] Plus, I can't write in Rieze Maxian, so you know... that's a cool skill.
no subject
[ There's only one other language she knows of in Rieze Maxia and that's the writing on Aifread's treasures. But not many can read that one. May there are others. She's not sure. ]
Did it take long for you to learn multiple languages?
