Umm... hello, everyone.

[ The broadcast opens up with Elize sitting in her personnel room. Some drawings done by her and Cole can be seen hanging on the wall in the background, along with a little painting of pink flowers. On the desk is a small stack of even more paintings. Very rarely does Elize broadcast her own fleet wide posts on her own will. She finds it somewhat easier to speak one-on-one on other posts, not so much when it's broadcast to a fleet of people.

The little girl has her hands propped on her lap, shifting uncomfortably in her chair. Her cheeks are slowly turning a faint red as she records herself. She'd prefer not to make any posts, but she feels it needs to be done at this time. ]

Some of the Huntress crew went back home. My friend, Shirley, too. She left behind these paintings that she got from the previous planets and stations, I think?

[ She lifts one of the art pieces from her desk to show it off. Looks like it might be a painting of some sort of plant from a different planet...? Who knows. ]

I thought I should share these. I think Shirley would like it if I did that. [ And it's something for everyone to remember her by. ] If anyone wants one, you can visit the Huntress or if you want, I can go to you. Just let me know.

[ That's about all she wanted to say. She gives a little wave goodbye to the camera, then ends the recording. ]

[ She's not too sure how many of Shirley's friends will answer or how many of the people that knew her are still around. ]

[Oop. She is sounding a little down, so time to distract.]

So what's your name, kid?

[ It might take her awhile to feel better. Shirley was kind of like a big sister to her. ]

Elize Lutus...

Well there's a pretty name if I ever heard one. Very fitting for a young lady like yourself.

It's very nice to meet you, Elize. My name is Joseph Joestar, but you can call me Jojo.

Thank you.

[ Her cheeks redden slightly. A lot of people on the fleet sure like her name. ]

It's nice to meet you. Um... I like your name too.

[ It's different... ]

Thanks. It's sorta a family nickname since it's what everyone called my grandfather, too.

...Do you have a big family?

Nah. It's just me and Granny Erina. The Joestars are just an old family and go way back.

No mother or father?

[Joseph shakes his head.]

My mom and dad died when I was a baby.

[Which is why he neither sounds nor looks all that bothered by it. He never knew them. It's hard to be upset about someone you've never known.]

...I'm sorry.

[ While he doesn't sound bothered by it, Elize feels it necessary to apologize regardless. ]

Nah, don't be. They were both pretty happy and had good lives. [Even if they were short and his mother lingered around only a little while after his father. In some ways, it was probably a blessing his mother didn't outlive his father for too long. Everything he's ever heard, they were really, really in love with each other.] Besides, it's not like I was completely on my own. I had Granny Erina and Uncle Speedwagon.

Oh...

[ She lifts her head up to look directly at the feed, trying not to look too ashamed over her question. He doesn't sound upset over it, after all. He's not like you, Elize. ]

You still have a family. That's great. [ Uncle Speedwagon's an interesting name... ]

Yeah, they're pretty great for putting up with me all these years.

[Joseph's certainly found a greater appreciation for his family. Not that it wasn't always there, but it's changed and grown.]

What about you?

My parents died when I was very little. I grew up without a mother or father.

[ Most of her years were in a laboratory. For a moment she does look upset, bothered by how she knows nothing of her parents aside from their murder. ]

But I think I've found someone that I can call my father. We're not blood-related, but we're still family.

[She says "grew up" and one of Joseph's eyebrows raise at that. She doesn't seem old enough to really say she's all grown up just yet, but the point's the same so he doesn't debate it with her.]

Family's about more than just blood anyway. It's about the people who will always have your back through thick and thin. I'm glad you got someone like that.

Especially in a place like this.

[ She nods, smiling now. Jojo may have successfully distracted her from thinking about Shirley's departure for now. ]

Yes. I used to think I was all alone, because there was no one else from Rieze Maxia. Now I have a father and many new friends.

[What can he say? He's very good at distracting people from upsetting things when he puts his mind to it.]

Rieze Maxia? What's that? A city? Country?

It's a continent. There are two countries called Rashugal and Auj Oule.

[ A thoughtful pause as she cants her head a little. She doesn't know much of her world outside of that particular continent. The concept of planets and outer space was unknown to her until her arrival on the fleet. ]

I'm not sure if my planet has a name.

Really? [Joseph blinks a little.] How many continents are on your planet then?

Umm... I-I don't know...

[ She sounds nervous. Not her fault she doesn't know of any other continents though. ]/small>

[Oh, he senses that nervousness. Time to distract.]

I only asked because there are seven where I'm from. [That's cool, right?] And we can't even live on one of them because it's basically just a gigantic chunk of ice! Can you imagine that?

[ She looks up. ]

Seven?

[ That does sound cool. Her world feels so small now. The thought of there being other continents never crossed her mind much, or other Rieze Maxians. Probably there's already enough to worry about like the countries warring against each other. ]

But you've seen them before, right? [ From a distance, maybe? ] I bet you'd slip and fall if you try to put your foot on it...

[Joseph definitely is not going to get into the political tensions currently going on back home with her. No, he will absolutely lie if he has to.]

[He laughs and nods, feeling quite proud he managed to get her properly distracted again.]

Knowing my luck, I'm sure I'd fall right on my a--[Wait. Small child.] bottom the moment I tried to walk. But I've actually only seen all seven on maps and globes before, and only been in two of them. Even then, I haven't actually seen the whole of either.

[He grins crookedly.]

But who knows? Maybe when I get back I'll travel the world and see more.
